'We have stayed at the Historic Cary House for many years while visiting wine country near Placerville. It is very convenient and walkable to Main Street restaurants and to regional wineries. The hotel is clean and quiet. The front desk manager is very helpful.'

'Room was clean, had all the amenities I needed down to makeup removal wipes. Breakfast was ok, looks like employee could’ve used help because multiple items were out and you had to wait but none of them out at same time. Not much around the area however there was a Walgreens and gas station so at least necessities were covered. Close to casino so that was good. Overall would recommend, would stay again. '

'Pros: Great check-in (we arrived around 9p, so not busy, but very pleasant interaction); room was completely redone - modern bathroom, laminate floors and a retro feel to the living space, which was super fun compared to the standard cookie-cutter rooms available nearby; comfortable lounge chairs placed in clusters around the property and lights along the building perimeters complimented the retro feel. For us, the lights created a nearly magical arrival, especially for seasoned...
