'My husband and I stayed here on our way back to Long Island after a family wedding. The house was very clean and just right for the two of us. A little hint going forward, pick up any food you need at LaPlanta. There are only small markets close to the house and are quite pricey. If you are looking for a relaxing leave the world behind place to stay, this is the place for you.'

'WOW!That just about sums up this property.Our stay was almost perfect (will mention a few negatives at the end of this review)The unit itself was very clean and pretty much matches the pictures in the listing. 'The recently updated Blue Heron Cottage was neat and clean and the beds were truly comfortable. The cottage is just a short walk to the shops and restaurants in Colonial Beach. The attractions at Westmoreland State Park, including Fossil Beach, are a short drive away.'

'Very nice, clean and comfortable home. The interior was better than the pictures depicted. Our favorite place was the deck where we watched the ducks and swans. We would definitely come back. '

'My wife and I had a great stay at Sail Away To. It was nice having a reserved parking spot along with a second floor condo with great views of the Potomac River. Several restaurants were within walking distance and the beach is just a walk across the sidewalk. The condo was clean with everything that you would need for a weekend or longer stay. Can’t wait to to visit again. '

'Our family had a great experience staying at this place. We were close to the beach and had access to a pool. The kitchen was stocked very well. The screened in porch on first floor had everything you need for the beach and the pool (chairs/towels/toys/beach cart/floats). Size was perfect for 2 couples and a child. (room for more children as well)'

'This was perfect! We wanted to get away from the city and unwind with our teenage son and two dogs. The two dogs had been arranged ahead of time with the owner’s permission.The cottage was clean. 'Check in was easy. Owner was very responsive to messages and very helpful. We enjoyed being right on the water and fishing from the pier, as well going out in the kayaks to enjoy the beautiful setting. I highly recommend this place and look forward to staying again next June on our trip back to Maryland.'
