Chique hotel, mooi gelegen aan de kust in het centrum van Newquay. Prachtige grote kamer.

Bedankt voor je recente 5 van de 5 beoordelingen na je verblijf bij ons. Beleef dat je duidelijk je mooie grote kamer leuk vond en vond het Hotel Chic. Zoals u zegt, we zijn prachtig gelegen aan de kust in het centrum van Newquay. Ik hoop dat je een veilige reis naar huis hebt gehad en we kijken er naar uit om je weer te bezoeken als je de volgende keer in het Verenigd Koninkrijk bent.

Mooi hotel
Het is een mooi hotel en de kamer was schoon, dit vind ik een heel belangrijk item. Helaas was onze kamer aan de straat kant waar, en dan met name het 's nachts, erg veel kabaal was.

Zalig. Wat oude charme, positief bedoeld! Mooi, stijlvol, alles wat je nodig hebt. Ruime familiekamer met uitzicht op zee. Lekker ontbijt met mogelijkheid tot niet Engels met broodjes en ham en kaas. Parking bij het hotel voor 5 pond, zeer zeer handig want het hotel ligt pal in het centrum. Mooi zwembad, heerlijk bubbelbad ... Genoten!

Hotel Victoria in Newquay
Positief was het restaurant (dinner + onbijt), de bediening en eigen parkeerplaats. Negatief: droge sauna stond uit, natte sauna, was te koud en er stond schimmel op het plafond. Lift was kapot, niet prettig met ouders van dik in de 70 en kamers op de 3de verdieping. Kortom vergane glorie, toe aan een grondige renovatie!

We received exceptional service. The staff were very.friendly and accomodating. I requested a disabled parking bay for my dad and it was set up waiting when we arrived. They also provided him with an amazing ground floor bedroom. They couldn't do enough it was an amazing stay. Thank you Victoria we will certainly come back again. I can't comment on the breakfast though as we didn't have it unfortunately, but maybe next time. Karen from Somerset

A dated property but extremely good value for money out of season with car parking charges only £7 a night. Rooms were fairly spacious with plenty of storage space and tea/coffee facilities and bathroom toiletries and a good tv . Only complaint would be that the rooms would probably be unbearably hot in summer months but lovely and warm in winter.

Really enjoyed our stay, hotel takes you back almost to the late 1800’s. Some say a bit spooky but I liked it. Brilliant location! We managed to secure one of the hotels parking slots for our stay at just £7pd and left the car there for the weekend. Everything is walking distance. I would stay again.

Staff really nice. The pool and jacuzzi was very unclean. I doubt its normal for a jacuzzi to be green/brown? I rinsed my costume afterwards and dirty water was running from it. Otherwise good for a cheap stay, but only for the room. I would stay again for under £50 margin.

Ok if you like sleeping in a greenhouse !
This is a good hotel. The room was fine but we didn't sleep as it was way too hot, despite turning the heater down. Didn't expect that in December. Great breakfast though but probably won't be returning .

Fabulous old building with great features, room was lovely although a bit of maintenance needed. Fantastic bed, very friendly staff, superb breakfast and great position. We'll definitely be recommending to our family and friends.

Unfortunately, everything about this stay was terrible. We were greeted by a very unfriendly staff member on arrival. The room was smelly and mouldy. The whole hotel is Very dated - it’s a real shame as you can clearly see how impressive it would have been once upon a time.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Stayed here a few times as always good value. Amazing pool, with long opening hours, that you can swim in when you want, instead of other hotels where they have silly booking times.

Lovely old hotel in a great location, close to shops, bars and restaurants and also Newquay's beautiful beach's. The worst part is the that the smoking area is right next to the main entrance. So you have to walk through a ploom of smoke or, if the door is open the hotel smells of smoke. Its not all of the time, but not nice when there are a few people out there smoking.

Great hotel with a fab location. Room was massive and very comfortable bed and sofa. Had a sea view if you are tall enough to see over the roof. Location is brilliant, shops right outside with two beaches a few minutes walk away. The spa was well equipped and clean, great steam room.

Facilities excellent, pool super, and staff friendly and helpful. In places the decor was a bit tired - hall carpet for example - and if you need quiet at night best ask for a quiet room as there was quite a lot of noise from people in the street late at night. This hotel provided everything i needed at a price i could afford so a big thumbs up from me

Disappointing response to room error
Paid extra for “Superior” family suite with double bed&2 single beds for our 2 teenagers plus a sea view disappointed to get a basic family room with little old wobbly bunk beds. Paying nearly £700 for 2 nights wasn’t expecting Surf Hostel standards!! Raised issue with on site female manager with pink hair told she’d arrange for housekeeping to put a double sofa bed in room instead as all rooms booked out. Next day this still hadn’t happened so raised issue again told she could only offer an apology. Asked for financial compensation as teenagers having to set up mattresses on floor to sleep and significant difference in price from standard to superior suites and told no. Asked for the Hotel Manager I a Curtis to call me to discuss further and still waiting. Also toilet blocked which reported to maintenance to fix and gross live silverfish in bathroom as not been cleaned good enough. Hotel has passed its time sadly, great location though. Breakfast good selection and tasty with pleasant sea views. Staff let place down.

Hotel was lovely and central for exploring the coast. Staff were lovely and very good breakfast. However it was disappointing that the jacuzzi wasn't working as this was one of the reasons we booked this hotel.

Stay at Hotel Victoria Newquay - very good.
All Staff were lovely and helpful! Room very clean with plenty of teas/coffee/ soaps etc. Shower tricky to work temperature - not consistent plus shower head wasn’t stable so hard to prevent water going down back of bath. Would have also preferred fully opening windows, it was very restricted - although appreciate for safety. Disappointed sauna / steam room out of order majority of week but otherwise everything very good. I can’t rate the cleanliness of the hotel higher.

Probably, once Upon a time, this would have been a Grand hotel. It needs millions spending on it to bring it up to date, but hopefully, if that ever happens, keeping its olde worlde charm. We were comfortable enough and all staff were very friendly and helpful. So Thankyou for that.
