Unable to access hotel late at night even though it said 24 hour reception desk. No answer to night porter phone number either.

We are open 24 hrs a day. Access to the hotel is via the night porters phone after midnight. Sorry you had an issue contacting them. This issue has now been resolved. Regards Emma

The room was south facing and on checking day the curtains had been left open. As it was a very sunny day the room was boiling. The only cooling available was a fan which did not work, it was replaced the next day.

Hello Sean, Thank you for your feedback. House-keeping always like to have curtains open for arrivals. We understand September has been extremely hot. Unfortunately we don't actually provide fans, which is stated when making a booking. Since the beginning of September was extra hot we did our best to provide guests with fans that we had around the hotel and that staff generously donated for the week. Staff were absolutely lovely. Free car parking which is great. Fab location close to Newquay town centre. Hotel seriously needs some investment! Shower weak. Toilet roll holder got jammed. But my biggest complaint was the mattress. Very uncomfortable. I didn't sleep barely.

There was no parking outside hotel so had to find a space on side of road😔. Front of house staff where rude. Pretty disappointed as soon as we got there

Thank you for your feedback .May i firstly add that we do not advertise on site parking at this hotel but you did not need to find on street parking as there is a very large pay and display carpark opposite the hotel, maybe you did not see this. If you would like to give the hotel a call to discuss my staff i would be very happy to address this as i had no complaints on the day of your arrival about staff. While the hotel was convenient to local eateries, it lacked parking as we had to park between two really close vehicles. Then this morning, someone had blocked us in by parking behind us. Fortunately, the gentleman parked next to us moved his vehicle so that my husband was able to maneuver the rental car out of the parking lot. Breakfast was nice, but I'm not sure that it was worth ten pounds a piece. The staff were very friendly and tried to help as much as possible.

Hello Jennifer,Thank you for all your feedback.We understand your frustration about parking but on our website it does state that we have very limited parking. There is free street parking to the left of the hotel if you didn't want to park in there. There is also a paid carpark opposite which always has availability as another option. Our breakfast is 10 per person. All you can eat English & Continental with unlimited Teas Coffees & Juice. From 8:00am - 9:30am. Due to the cost of living & energy crisis we wouldn't be able to do this any cheaper. Hope you understand. Kind Regards Sandy Lodge Hotel

Ok hotel
Hotel ok, staff really friendly, parking a bit of a nightmare as cars doubled up bar was shut in hotel, breakfast was ok, only issue was shower really poor.

There is free street parking to the side of the hotel and a paid carpark opposite which always has availability, for you to use. Never stayed here but so was abit weary but I was pleasantly surprised. Lovely reception & Emma was very friendly & welcoming. Room was clean & tidy, bathroom was a nice size. Bed was very comfortable & had the best nights sleep, didn’t hear a thing!! Very close to the beach & Tescos is at the top of the road. Would stay here again. Only downside is the building next door, appearance is tatty but didn’t put me off Sandy Lodge.

Not recommending this coach style hotel
Car park is a nightmare - cars parked behind each other hoping that someone wont block you at some point. Shower is a nightmare, literally a thin line of water coming out of the shower head. Really small bedroom. Stain marks everywhere on carpets. Smell of mouldy house inside. Dust in the bedroom - i didnt want to put my bags on the floor based on the bad cleaning in general … Floor does cracking noises when walking. Door of bedroom difficult to open and close you have to push it. Strangers smoking weed on the street in front of the entry door. Difficult to find positive points sadly… perhaps just the location near the seaside…

Lovely spacious room, spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed and plenty of hot water in the shower/bath. A big thank you to Tracy and Neville for looking after me. Easy access to beaches and town centre, and very quiet in the evening so a good night’s sleep too.

Whole hotel is under renovation. Rooms are disgusting with dirt and not cleaned. Balaconys are unfit for use and dangerous. Not as advertised!

We only used the hotel for sleeping as we were down visiting our son but happy with the location as it was only down the road to him .will use this place again.
