Sisters Weekend
My sisters and family gathered for a weekend to celebrate our family and the recent completion of a big family project. The Salty Rabbit was the perfect seaside location! The home was large, comfortable and completely outfitted with everything one could need. Kirsten was super helpful in ensuring our stay was pleasant. I only wish our visit had been longer so we could have taken advantage of all the amenities her property has to offer, indoors and out.

Home with a View
In short, this is one of the finest homes in which we have stayed. What made this home so special is that it was a "home." We felt like we were stepping into a good friend's home who couldn't wait till we arrived. It was truly impressive, no cookie cutter amenities, everything we needed and much more. Everything was spotless. The furnishings were well cared for and comfortable, including the beds. Linens and towels were of excellent quality, more than ample dishware, even the spices were plentiful for cooking. The view was wonderful, we were even treated to a sailing competition, only steps to a small private beach and while the weather was cool, it did not stop us from walking along the shoreline. The home is located in a well cared for neighborhood which was blessed with peace and quiet and friendly passersby. Communication with the owner was spot on, clearly eager to treat their guests well. Kiri and Rob could not have been more accommodating. There is no question that we would return when the opportunity presents itself. Thank you for a chance to recharge and gather with family.

Fantastic House on the Water
A group of us (6 adults) were in town for a sailing event at the nearby yacht club and the house could not have been more perfect, from the fireplace on the cold rainy days after sailing, to the front deck on the nice sunny beautiful days. We absolutely loved it!

A lovely interlude
We had chosen the Salty Rabbit for my wife and I and our son and daughter-in-law to stay in while attending a family wedding in Mystic over the Labor Day long weeeknd. It was a 30 minute drive away but we were attracted to it because of its location right on the waterfront with easy access to a private beach. Also because of the high rating of the hosts, Kiri and Rob. That turnend out to be well earned. Everything was as forecast and the entry system was ingeniously simple. The only problem was caused by the failure of the air conditioning system on the third night of our four night stay. The weather was very hot - mid 90's during the day down to high 70's in the night. Kiri understood how hot it must have been in the house and offered a refund if we wanted to leave and miss the 4th night. Our son and his wife left but we stayed becuase we had plans to sepnd the last day on Block Island and would be coming home too late to close up the house. Kiri has since offered us a discount if we choose to return at some point in the near future. Lovely house, decorated with a sense of humour the fits its name. Highly recommended.

The perfect place
There were four adults in our group and The Salty Rabbit was quite roomy. We didn’t even use one of the bedrooms. The house was very clean and Kiri left us snacks and a bottle of local wine when we arrived. It is beautifully decorated and true to the photos. The house has huge windows and you really feel part of nature there. The location was amazing. It was very private and sitting by the fire pit at night was the perfect end to the day. It is a very special place and we would definitely go back.

What a wonderful place to relax
A group of us came to Mystic for the weekend... This house was a bit further out of Mystic than we originally were looking for, but boy am I glad we made the decision to stay here. It is so adorably appointed, with little decorative touches everywhere. Very tasteful. They had a really nice bunch of treats for us to enjoy, the popcorn was especially delicious. The master bath was fantastic with the shower and bath being used by many members of our group. The half bath off the Kitchen was great to have access to as well. The stunning view right on the water was amazing! Thanks so much for providing this home. We hope to return.

Amazing House!!
The property was great, very clean, spacious and the kitchen was one of the best equipped kitchens we've seen at a VBRO. Really top notch property. My kids loved all the little nicknacks and we played old fashioned bingo, which they were delighted with. There are a lot of things lying around, so maybe not the best if you have a tiny child who will grab anything that's not nailed down, but my 5 and 7 year olds were delighted with it. Oh, and the view! My stress level dropped about 10 points just by looking out the window. And then another 10 points when I got 30 min in the giant tub....really, I could go on. Fantastic place.

Wonderful stay at the salty rabbit
We had a great time at the salty rabbit. Beautiful views in a quiet neighborhood. Super close to a private, quaint beach, the location was so peaceful and relaxing. Kiri the host is easily reachable and very helpful. We would recommend staying here for a family beach getaway.

Beautiful home in a gorgeous setting!
Our family had a wonderful stay at the Salty Rabbit! The home is beyond charming! We can’t rave enough about the waterfront views and proximity to the beach. We loved the decorations, ample space to spread out (3 living spaces) and we were not in need of anything! From kitchen to bathrooms, the house has something for everyone: books, games, beach towels, cooking oils and spices. We especially enjoyed the outdoor deck, from outdoor yoga to dining, it was perfect!

Absolutely Fabulous
Absolutely fabulous stay. This was my first time booking a vacation rental, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Communication was excellent. I really can't say enough nice things about either Kiri and Rob, or the house itself. The online pictures don't do it justice at all - especially the master bed/bath (that tub!). The entire property is spotless, fully stocked with everything you might need (and a ton of items I never would've thought of!), and we had such a lovely week. We were local to the Black Point area before moving out of state, and it was so nice to be back "home" for a few days, especially in such a gorgeous house. In fact, we had planned to travel up to Boston for one of the days during our stay but ended up just staying in and playing on the beach instead because it was just so relaxing. K + R - Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home, it was a wonderful experience!!

Serene Rabbit!
Just as the Salty Rabbit was beginning to really work its magic on us we were sadly packing up to return home. What a marvelous home. The beauty and serenity which is there in abundance, was so restorative for us. We could feel the love the owners have for the place and the care for their guests was all around us. We were so glad we could share in that! Hoping we can return someday soon!

Beautiful property with lots to do
This house was a delight! The weather wasn't cooperative during our stay, but the house had so much to do, fully stocked with games and books and interesting things. The views were really lovely, and there were lots of birds (as well as a few rabbits!) to watch. The house was clean and beautifully decorated, and our family had a wonderful stay. The town of Niantic had some great restaurants, and we recommend everyone check out the Book Barn if you like books!

We visited with my elderly parents for a much needed get away. The home was spacious and comfortable. Great location for early morning walk. Relax on the deck to watch and listen to the wildlife. Homeowners were just a text away. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed.

This a nice place to be exposed to the quiet Connecticut shoreline. Winter is a whole new way to experience the water. The house has everything you would want and more. There are many nearby attractions such as Rocky Neck State Park, Niantic, New London, and even right up the street at McClark Point Park. I want to return in the summer. Bill B.

Excellent choice for family with or without kids
We truly enjoyed our stay at the Salty Rabbit. The owners were easily reachable and answered questions unlike a lot of the locally owned but property managed VRBO properties were Looked at in the area. Frankly, many of them were quite rude and arrogant. Not the family who owns this property. I asked a lot of questions as we wanted to make sure the stay was perfect for my aging mom to visit and family of four kids. They were super responsive and accommodating. The Salty Rabbit was everything.as advertised. Warm, comfortable and practical. The bedrooms were ample, especially the master. I could not get over the sunrises from the bedroom windows and living room. Spectacular and yes, I know, that was not promised with the place, but w nice addition. All the appliances were there and then some. We were planning Thanksgiving dinner and needed to have a turn key kitchen and dining experience. We even used the BB grill and fire pit. Everything was easy access and easy to use. The amazing deck made it easy to watch the kids as they gathered shells on the beach. When the evening came, the kids settled in the house game room or using the ample internet for their iPads. TV was a cinch as well. We just signed into our apps. A nice little touch and unique experience was they the owners wanted us to use everything they had available to us… including a small crab net to attempt to gather crabs from the pond. We will be back for the place, but how the owners took care in being responsive and making sure we had every detail we needed to plan.

Wonderful overnight stay
Ours was a quick overnight stay to wind down after our son and daughter-in-law’s wedding with a few close friends. Lots of spaces to relax, from the deck and firepit to the tv room with large-screen tv. Time exploring the beach, a morning neighborhood walk, a local breakfast at The Shack. And oh… that jetted bathtub and bath salts… perfect! Great hosts… thank you!

Everything about our stay was perfection. The house is warm, comfortable and gorgeous- the pictures don’t do it justice! We thoroughly enjoyed the deck and soaking up the gorgeous views from every window. All instructions were super clear and the hosts were kind and responsive. The master bed and bath are spacious and so comfortable- we were so reluctant to leave! Relaxing family weekend in Niantic!
We had the best weekend at the Salty Rabbit celebrating my mom’s birthday. The location is amazing - gorgeous water views everywhere and less than a minute away from the beach. There is so much to do in the area, we didn’t want to leave! We spent a lot of time relaxing at the beach and on the beautiful deck, bike riding around the neighborhood, and enjoying downtown Niantic. Kiri and Rob were wonderful hosts and thought of everything! They even left a birthday gift for my mom and a onesie for my infant son. So thoughtful! We can’t wait to return. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Perfect Week in Niantic
My two sisters and I recently spent a week at this beautiful home. Everything about it is perfect! The location, the views, the home itself, the area surrounding the house...all wonderful. We explored the area (Mystic, Block Island, Essex). All easily accessible (by car or ferry.) Communication with Kiri was excellent. I would love to return.

Wonderful beach house
We just loved everything about this house. Great location on both the beach and a pond. Walking distance to a cute market. Interior is beautiful. So relaxing. Great beds, very nice indoor and outdoor furniture. Kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed every minute. And yes- as the name suggests - we saw lots of rabbits in the yard.

We loved this property. The large deck had a fabulous view of sunrise and the sound. Very short walk for us to put the kayaks and paddleboards in the water. Great area to ride our bikes and enjoy the evening biking around the neighborhood, The house was amazing. Plenty of room without feeling overwhelming. The beds were sooooo comfortable. I can actually say that this property was undersold by the ad. As soon as you walk up onto the deck for the first time you realize what a gem this house, and location, are. Relaxing, fun weekend
We had a wonderful time at the Salty Rabbit. The house was very comfortable including the hammock on the deck and the beautiful views. The owners Kiri and Robert had thought of everything from a bottle of Rosé in the fridge to an assortment of goodies. The kids enjoyed Pop-A-Shot basketball in the garage and biking around the neighborhood and to town. We enjoyed delicious muffins at Cafe Sol and dinner at La Llorona in Niantic. The area has adorable beaches and is close to Mystic and beautiful Rocky Neck State Park. Great place to spend a relaxing weekend.

5 Star Beautiful Waterfront Home
The Salty Rabbit is the most perfect, relaxing getaway. This beautiful home looks exactly like the photos (or even nicer) and waking up right along the water was an added bonus. The hosts Kiri and Rob were so accommodating, responsive, and made us feel like we were home. We will definitely return for another stay and are already looking forward to it!
