'great place to relax and do family activities'

'This is my 4th stay at Montigo. I think the property has aged a lot since my last stay. I will likely not return anymore. First, the property is poorly maintained. We stayed at the 5 bedroom villa. One of the rooms smell of mold and mildew. One corner of the bedroom has black spots on the ceiling that looks like mold but we can’t verify or confirm if it is. Broken tiles in the pool that makes it unsafe for young kids. The villa is also not cleaned properly. Floor is dusty with dirt spots....

'Had a short stay in Ayola hence did not try out the spa. The room I had was a twin bedded and condition of the room was fine, except that there's no hairdryer in the room. The toilet had a bad sewage smell which fortunately for me, I had some lemongrass essential oil with me, which I had literally poured into the drainage and it helps, had to do daily for the 2 nights. 'The room was dirty and neglected, chair on veranda broke when I sat in it, doors did not close properly so mosquito and large red ants came in at night, bathroom had electricity plug next to shower so not safe to use, kitchen did not have utensils to cook a meal. Check in was 3 not 2 as on confirmation. 'simple hotel with basic amenity. no frill'

'Despite being a hotel that is quite old, we appreciate that the room was renovated to a modern look and we like the beddings and stuff. However the bathroom was a let down because sewage odour kept escaping through the floor traps. To cover the smell, the housekeeping use urinal mat, commonly used in public men's toilet urinals, as deodoriser, making not only the bathroom but the whole room (in fact the whole floor) to smell like public toilet.'
