'This property was the highlight of my Icelandic experience! It had the most beautiful, scenic location, super remote with a beautiful sea front view. I saw the northern lights 3 times from my room was an unreal experience. The place was so clean, quiet and cozy and the owners were so lovely and helpful when needed. 'Herring House is a great place to stay--I enjoyed it immensely. I booked one of the cabins which included access to an outdoor shower. Although somewhat skeptical, the proprietor, Helga, convinced me to give it a try. Glad I did--truly an amazing experience even though the temperature was a little above freezing. The accommodation was extremely clean and ideally situated with restaurants within easy walking distance. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Siglufjörður.'
