Prachtige Lakeside Home In The North Adams / Williamstown Area

Windsor Cottage is een ontspannend toevluchtsoord aan het meer aan Windsor Lake in North Adams, MA, waar u kunt genieten van uw eigen privéstrand! U zult zich in het midden van het bos voelen, maar toch bent u op loopafstand van de stad, Mass MoCA en Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, evenals vele bars en restaurants. Daarnaast is het 10 minuten rijden naar Williamstown, Williams College en het Clark Art Museum. Wandel door eeuwenoude bossen tijdens een wandeling langs de hoogste berg van Massachusetts, Mt. Greylock, bezoek verschillende nabijgelegen boomrijke avonturenparken of ga wildwaterraften op de Deerfield River. Het meer biedt niet-gemotoriseerd varen, zwemmen en spectaculaire vissen. Een roeiboot, een kano en een kajak zijn beschikbaar om het meer te verkennen en genieten van het uitzicht op de bergketens Hoosac en Appalachian, inclusief Mt. Greylock. Op woensdagavonden in de zomer kun je op je terras zitten en genieten van concerten die worden gehouden in het paviljoen aan de overkant van het meer. Er is ook een openbaar zwemgedeelte met redders, een snackbar en een speeltuin aan het meer. Het huis biedt een grote grote ruimte om te ontspannen en te dineren, een open haard, een complete keuken die goed is uitgerust voor al uw kookbehoeften, anderhalve badkamer, comfortabele bedden met gloednieuwe pillow-top matrassen, een enorm terras en een spectaculair gescreend in de veranda, waar u de hele nacht kunt ontspannen of een dutje kunt doen op een unieke, dubbele veranda. Breng een gezellige avond door in de openhaard rond onze buitenhaard of kook op onze outdoor-grill. Je kunt jezelf en je gezin vermaken met een veelvoud aan spellen, een tafeltennistafel en meer dan 200 video's. Kabeltelevisie is voorzien evenals wifi. Celontvangst is uitstekend. Windsor Cottage is een geweldige plek om te genieten van alles wat de Berkshires en Southern Vermont te bieden heeft als de enige accommodatie aan het meer met drie slaapkamers aan het meer in de regio North Adams / Williamstown.

Wonderful Lake House Vacation!

We had an amazing stay here! The house is very cute and well decorated with lots of dishes, games, towels, etc. The screened in porch great. And then the real highlight was the beautiful lake and all the kayaks, paddleboards and boats that come with the house. And the owner was great throughout, answering all of our questions and even shipping us a couple of items we left behind.

Quiet mornings on the lake

We had a lovely week at Windsor Cottage. The house is so special and we were thrilled the moment we walked in the door. The views are so beautiful, especially in the early mornings when the mist is rising from the lake. Terri and Jay have really put their heart into their home and I feel grateful they are sharing it with the rest of us. Might be helpful for folks to know that the half bath is upstairs next to the master bedroom (with absolutely stunning lake view) and room with three beds. Another bedroom on main floor with queen bed next to bathroom with fabulous shower. The multiple decks were a highlight. Who can resist a porch swing that you can nap on! Can't wait to come back! Thank you again.

House was best equipt home we have ever rented from vrbo. Porch was a great place for morning coffee watching a bald eagle and fog lifting. I highly recommend this home. owner was quick to answer all my questions. You will love this place. We all did.

A gem in the Berkshires

We had such a wonderful time at Windsor Cottage. There was plenty of room for 6 adults to spread out. We enjoyed all the lake had to offer, from fishing to lazing on the deck. Sunrises were gorgeous and peaceful. The kitchen was very well appointed. We ordered a grocery delivery from a local store for our first day so we wouldn't have to waste time shopping. Terri was a great host, friendly, polite & available to answer any questions. Overall it was a great vacation!

A Little Taste of Paradise

This was the best time away from home we ever had. The cottage and the lake are so peaceful and beautiful. The hosts were kind and helpful thru the hole planning stage. We hope to visit again next year....and one special thing we will never forget is the wonderful quiet...

Berkshires Delight

We had a wonderful stay! The home is spotless, well-maintained and nicely decorated. It is beautifully situated on a small lake overlooking the mountains. We kayaked through the mist every morning until it burned off. It was extremely hot and muggy, so we toured several wonderful museums in the afternoon and then returned and went for a swim. We definitely appreciated the air conditioning in the home! We dined in restaurants in town, only 5 minutes away, as well as in neighboring towns in Massachusetts and Vermont. (The Vermont border is just 7 minutes away.) We enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings. One evening we listened to a free concert from across the lake; another evening we watched a mesmerizing lightning storm from the screened porch. The owner was extremely responsive and gracious. Sheets and towels are not included, but you can rent them for a fee from the owner, which is what we chose to do.

Relaxing Getaway

We enjoyed a very relaxing getaway as a group of 3 generations. There was so much room for all of us and everything you could want or need: kitchen fully equipped, laundry, A/C and fans, games, movies, fishing right off the dock, kayaks, canoe, rowboat and life vests. Beautiful setting with park right across the lake. Screened in porch with large porch swing is heavenly! Owner is very responsive and wonderful to deal with. We really enjoyed Hancock Shaker Village, Mass MoCa, Berkshire Cider Project, and Mt. Greylock, among many other things close by.

Mini lake stay

The property sits on a very narrow small mini lake well stocked with fish. It is perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing. The house had everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Lovely Lake Getaway

4th year at this lake house!

Great house on the perfect lake for us: sandy beach across the water, dock with canoe, rowboat and kayaks, three playgrounds once on the other side of the lake, big deck, screen porch with swing. Everyone is happy.

Wonderful lakeside home base

We felt right at home at the cottage, went out on the water every day, and made use of all the local parks and trails we could manage. The porchswing and hammock were our particular favorites, but we also watched a few movies (once we taught the kids how to be careful with the VHS tapes!). A wonderful summer week, we look forward to doing it again!

Great House On a Lovely Lake

This is a cute 3-bedroom house on a pretty lake not far from terrific hiking and excellent art museums. The bald eagles that fly back and forth across the lake are an added attraction! Terri is super responsive: we had trouble getting online our first night and texted Terri for help. She said "sit tight I'll be right over." (The internet btw does kick out occasionally; we were always able to get right back in. I think it's the service company's fault as the signal in the house is very strong.) There aren't many private houses on the lake but there's a large town recreation area on the other side of the lake, with camping behind that, so there is definitely some activity. No power boats though! We were new to the northern side of the Berkshires but liked it there a lot and plan to return.

Another great vacation at the lake

This was our second time staying at Windsor Cottage and it was a wonderful week. The house is clean and stayed cool with the AC during the heat wave. We enjoyed swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking and fishing on the lake. The sights and sounds are beautiful. The house is just a short drive from many activities around Berkshire county so when we weren’t on the lake, we were off to Lenox, Stockbridge, and Bennington, VT. The hosts communicate well about anything you may want or need to know. Thanks for another great week!

This home was just a lovely place to stay. It has a welcoming quality and is decorated with many oil paintings that reflect both the location of the home as well as other aspects of nature. The view of the lake from the upper deck is captivating and entrancing. I woud definitely recommend it.

Great location, great hosts

The location of this lake cottage can't be beat. Our kids loved playing in the lake, there is a park nearby, the summer concert series on Wednesday nights was a nice bonus. We hiked from the house on the lovely trails right around the lake and really enjoyed the views of the hills and the lake from our cottage windows. The hosts were really responsive and helpful and we really appreciated their hospitality. The game room on the lower level has the potential to be amazing. We adults headed down there most nights to play some card and darts. The owners have given it a relaxed, beachy decor and feel. We purchased some new dart tips for future guest to enjoy! We did find it hard to be there a week with 8 people and no washer or dryer. A dryer would be a great addition as we had wet kids swim gear that didn't dry well in summer humidity. And travelling from out of state and needing to provide sheets and towels was a challenge as well. We forgot hand towels for the kitchen and had to use a bath towel we had brought for one of the kids. Despite these few things all of us enjoyed our time in North Adams immensely and would gladly stay here again.
