Dit is een gezellig huis aan de rivier de Hudson, op slechts 1,5 km van het centrum van North Creek en op ongeveer 5 minuten van het skicentrum Gore Mountain. Gelegen aan een autoluwe weg, is het huis comfortabel afgelegen maar dichtbij alle gemakken. De weg is perfect om te wandelen of hardlopen of misschien een fietstocht. Het huis is ingericht en uitgerust met alles wat je nodig hebt om je meteen thuis te voelen - wi-fi, Directv, wasmachine-droger, vaatwasser, volledig uitgeruste keuken. U hoeft zich geen zorgen te maken over het weer. De woning heeft een aangebouwde garage, perfect voor het opbergen van uw auto en skispullen. Geniet van uw ochtendkoffie terwijl u de Hudson River voorbij ziet komen.

Het Adirondack-gebied is ook in de herfst een geweldige plek om te bezoeken. Dit is wat een gast in september te zeggen had over Home on the Hudson en North Creek. “We voelden ons zo comfortabel zodra we door de deur liepen, super schoon, alles wat je nodig hebt voor je verblijf! Het uitzicht op de rivier met de veranderende bladeren was prachtig. Dit huis is centraal gelegen voor zo veel prachtige schilderachtige locaties, evenals dicht bij Main Street in North Creek met geweldige restaurants zoals Marsha's en Chrissy's evenals de treinfiets bij Revolution Rail Company. Dit is een locatie die ik binnenkort weer zal bezoeken en zou dit huis graag weer willen huren omdat de eigenaar erg vriendelijk en meegaand is! Bedankt voor een geweldig verblijf! ”

The property is very well maintained and spotless clean. It has everything you need. I stayed with my 8-year-old son; he wanted to live there. It's very comfortable, and the location was perfect! Helene helped with everything I needed, and her message response time was very prompt. We will definitely come back very soon. Great stay!

Helene was always prompt at replying to any questions we had, both before our stay and during the time we were there. The kitchen was well equipped with lots of gadgets and gizmos. There was a nice selection of knives and there was even a knife sharpener in the drawer. (I HATE dull knives in rentals to the point that I frequently travel with a favorite knife.) The bed was quite comfy. It was wonderful having access to the full-size washer and dryer in the house. This was a midway stop for us on a long road trip. Nice to have the ability to do laundry to start fresh again with our clothes. The road that the house sits on is a great place for a walk right along the Hudson River. Very peaceful.

This is a lovely cottage, on a quiet street overlooking the Hudson. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are great. We stayed here to explore the mountains. It was wonderful.

We stayed at the Home on the Hudson for our ski vacation. The place had everything we needed, was very clean and neat as a pin. We had everything we needed to cook meals after a long day of skiing, laundry if needed, cleaning supplies and personal care products in the bathroom. The host was very engaging to ensure that our stay was pleasant. The view of the Hudson River was very pretty and relaxing to watch. We would definitely stay there again.

This property has an excellent location and is so well designed. The layout of the home was just perfect and all updated. All the furniture was so comfy from the beds to the chairs. It could not have been newer or cleaner. The only issue I had was I had not received the rental agreement to sign so I didn't get the entrance information. But Helen met us at the property, let us in, and showed us around. One of the best rentals I've been to, thanks so much.

This property and experience exceeded our high expectations. Immaculate and cozy with great views on a quiet street great to walk on. Close by a small but nice downtown with lots of places to eat. The host was very responsive and obviously takes pride in her fine property. We hope to come back soon and recommend this to everyone.

We have immensely enjoyed our stay @ House on the Hudson. It's one of the cleanest VRBO rentals we've stayed at (& we have been VRBO guests for over 15 years!). The host was gracious & accomodating. They supply .ost everything you need. Cottage is in a fantastic location, on a scenic & walkable lane. It's close to a grocery, restaurants, & a very small Walgreens. We hiked, did rail biking, steamboat ride at Lake George, visited/shopped at Lake Placid, & rode a gondola to the top of Gore/Bear mountain. Plenty of summer activities to do! We ran out of time to do rafting/tubing. Highly recommend this quiet cottage with a beautiful river view.

The view is priceless! The home is warm & inviting, so clean, Helene even had all the little things you forget, (ex shampoo & hand cream). The bear buy parks are a must exploration. Helene can direct you to so many places to explore. I will return someday to continue my exploring.

Great location to Gore Mt. We were there during spring snowstorm. Owner offered us an extended stay, let us use the garage and driveway was plowed first thing in the morning. Hudson River was gorgeous to watch out the front window. Would be nice to head back during the summer.

We initially planned to stay here for only two nights, but extended our stay for another night because we liked it so much. Don't judge the property by the lack of landscaping around the house--the interior of the house is beautiful, well-appointed, and restful, with a great view of the Hudson River. The kitchen is modern and well-equipped and offers quite a bit of counter space. The tap water was the best we encountered on our trip through the eastern Adirondacks and northwestern Vermont with no odor or excessive mineralization. No bottled water is necessary. The full-size washer and dryer worked great. The large bed in the master bedroom has a wonderfully firm mattress that provided great support for our aging backs. The other bedroom contains bunk beds that children would enjoy. The spacious living area has a good TV and two comfortable rockers with reasonable lumbar support, as well as a sofa. The location is superb. Old River Road has little traffic and relatively few residences, which results in a quiet, peaceful ambiance. The mile-long stretch from the house to the point where the road ends provides many views of the Hudson and the mountains. Flat and bordered with a variety of trees and shrubs, the road makes for a beautiful, relaxing walk, especially when the leaves are changing color. Frankly, it was one of the best walks on our trip. The location is convenient to the village of North Creek, which contains a surprisingly wide variety of stores (including a Tops grocery store) and eateries., as well as the wonderful, modern, and spacious Tannery Pond Community Center, which also serves as an information center (with free copies of topo map segments showing area trails) and art gallery that features changing exhibitions. The owner is helpful and accessible and she emailed a list of area facilities and attractions at the time we made our reservation. She also prepared a 3-ring binder with information about the house and the area.
