Nancy's Touch, A Waterfront Paradise

Nancy's Touch, genoemd naar de geweldige vrouw die de prachtige tuinen heeft ontwikkeld en onderhouden, bevindt zich op een van de beste locaties aan de noordkant van de Chesapeake. Van zonsopgang tot zonsondergang, het uitzicht op het kruispunt van de drie rivieren (het Noord-Oosten, Susquehanna en Elk) die samenkomen om de Chesapeake Bay te creëren, trekt uw aandacht. Stijgende visarend, kale adelaars, grote blauwe reiger en ander genot van watervogels.

Dit onroerend goed van een hectare is al in de jaren 1920 in dezelfde familie en we kijken ernaar uit om het nu met anderen te delen. De home-kenmerken van één verhaal:
• grote "rivierkamer" met een geweldig uitzicht, zit- en informele eethoek
• grote kamer met een grote gezellige leefruimte met tv

• volledig uitgeruste keuken
• wasruimte met wasmachine, droger en bijkeuken gelegen naast de keuken

• twee extra slaapkamers; één met een koningin en één met twee eenpersoonsbedden
• alle slaapkamers hebben uitzicht op het water
• twee baden
• speelkamer compleet met een flipperkast, tafelvoetbal tafel en honkbal spel
• buitenterras, zitplaatsen op de patio en een tuinhuisje
• weelderige gazon en tuin gebieden direct toegankelijk vanuit de rivier kamer
• goed opgevoede, volwassen honden toegestaan voor $ 25 / nacht; een grote, volledig omheinde tuin is voor hen direct vanuit de wasruimte beschikbaar
• twee enkele kajaks en zwemvesten
• raad aan waterschoenen mee te nemen, aangezien het strand rotsachtig is
• hoofdingang van huis is toegankelijk voor rolstoelgebruikers; rest van huis is geen ADA

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. When we walked in, it just felt so comfortable. The gardens are beautiful and we were able to see Eagles most every day. Communication was excellent.

This was our 2nd stay at Nancy's Touch and it was perfect. Although the weather wasn't great there are so many things to do at the house and in the area. The house has everything you need and is so comfortable and the views are amazing!! Already looking to book next year!

This is the third time our family has stayed at Nancy's touch & as usual is was a great trip. We did a lot of relaxing, playing games, & kayaking. We love the house, property, & view. We also visited the town of North East a few times.

We spent 10 days here, and it was a relaxing and restful vacation. We visited nearby towns but also were happy to just stay and enjoy sitting by the bay or watching from the river room. The weather was not great - dreary and no sunsets - but we still had a good time! The house had everything we needed and just felt like home. Would definitely return and hope for sunshine!

The property is rancher style, everything on one floor. Very nicely furnished. Beds very comfortable. Wonderful fenced in yard. Nice deck on the water, nice place to fish or just look at the water.. and nice patio. The property sits on a peninsula on the water across the bay from Havre de Grace. Located in North East Md. A lot of history there, founded in the 1650s. If you like birds, a wide variety. And the owners have binoculars in the Florida room (enclosed room with a great view of the water). Nice restaurants nearby. A few miles away across the North East River is the Wellwood Restaurant in Charlestown. Very historic. Loved our visit. The owners are very nice to deal with if you have a question.

My family of 4 plus my sister and brother in law made this our home base for UD drop off, coming from IL. It was the most perfect place to relax and enjoy the Chesapeake Bay. So spacious and had everything we could possibly need. North East is a cute town for shopping and eating. Would love to stay again. Thank you!

We had another wonderful stay during our third visit to this lovely property. We took our teenage niece and nephew this time, and had fun playing games, paddle boarding and crabbing. As always, the dogs loved swimming every day and playing in their own private, fenced yard. We completed our visit with a takeout seafood dinner from Woody’s. We can’t wait to come back again next year!

Fantabulous Fan-tab-u-lous, adjective, American English slang, marvelously good. This lovely home is situated away from the tourist bustle of downtown North East. The home's exterior is surrounded by beautiful gardens that attract an array of harmless critters. The quiet is broken only by the Osprey calling each other. The inside of the home is just as charming as the outside. The kitchen has every gadget you may desire including those that you will probably never use such as waffle makers and a slow cooker. Off the kitchen is the more formal of the two dining tables. The living room is comfortable and boasts a big screen TV and a gas fireplace. The highlight of the home for us was the “river room”. This room has floor to ceiling windows and overlooks the bay. In the river room, there is a less formal dining table perfect for breakfast and dinners watching the sunset. The owners have thoughtfully supplied binoculars and guidebooks to the flora and fauna. While we did not bring our dog with us, there was an ample yard. Not pictured on the website is a newly constructed covered deck by the edge of the water. This is a perfect place to sit on the Adirondack chairs and read a book or take in the birds (including eagles). In short, a fantabulous VRBO.

We ( 6 adults) came for a wedding nearby and chose Nancy's Touch for our home base. It is a wonderful, serene place with special, thoughtful touches throughout. We especially enjoyed the provided kayaks and paddle boards. Had we been within driving distance we would have also brought our dog- he would have been thrilled with the setting and the private dog park attached to the house. Truly a home away from home and we would love to return to return one day.

This was the second time that we had a family vacation at Nancy’s Touch. We really like the house and location. The view is great. It's a great place to relax & watch the wildlife(ospreys, Bald eagles, herons, etc) and do some paddling.

This place is amazing. They truly have everything you need -- just bring your clothes and food and you're good to go. We took my 90 year old mother for her birthday. She had a great time sitting in the river room watching the birds and boats go by. We enjoyed the kayaks, cooking on the grill and generally just sitting around watching the beautiful view. Oh ... And the sunsets!! The proximity to town is perfect. It has everything you need. The shops were cute and everybody was super nice. We loved the privacy of this place. It's literally the last house on the road before water. All the appliances and everything works the way it's supposed to. The gardens around this house are gorgeous and well-tended. We kept finding interesting hidden treasures in the gardens -- like fun bird houses and signs.

Everything was wonderful. Betsy and Barb were fantastic. The house and grounds are beautiful, the bay views from every room is wonderful to wake up to.. From the moment we entered the gate, the love and memories could be felt. We made memories of our own and say thank you. Barb thank you so much or all your texts and answers to my many questions. Just stayed here for an extended birthday weekend with family. Our first trip to this area and already looking forward to returning. What a beautiful property and charming cottage! Betsy was terrific to work with. Right on the water with beautiful sunset views, large fenced area and gated deck for our pups. Well stocked kitchen, and other amenities you’d need. Very close to the town of North East, Charlestown, and hiking at Elk Neck State Park. Quite a few bald eagle sightings!

Nancy’s Touch is the best accommodation in Cecil County. We have stayed at many other places over the years and nothing compares to this one. The home and garden are gorgeous, the area is so private and serene with amazing water views. This house and property is like a home away from home. Everything you could possibly need is provided. My husband and I stay four times a year and love it more with each visit.

Nancy’s Touch is our home away from home when traveling to the area to visit with family. Everything you could need to enjoy some downtime admiring the water views and basking in the nature that surrounds this lovely home. The house is as exactly as seen in the pictures. Right on the water with beautiful views and even late in the fall the gardens were awesome. The house had everything we needed to have a family get together and we’re able to have my 90 year old parents come and enjoy it as well. The fenced yard for the dogs to play in was a very nice treat.

We had a very pleasant time at "Nancy's Touch." The accommodations were ideal for our gathering of two couples plus a visit from my daughter who lives in DC. We were so glad we could bring our pet Corgi, who enjoyed running around the large fenced-in area. The gardens with rose bushes, fruit trees, hydrangeas and clematis were also special. Our favorite moments included sitting either outside or in the "River Room" to watch the sun set.
