A slice of heaven near Yosemite national Park
The cabin is peaceful and so well appointed. The beds comfortable and the bathrooms spotlessly clean. We loved the wild turkeys and the deer in the garden. Mary was delightful to deal with. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area. This was a place to rejuvenate and replenish one’s energy, in tranquil surroundings.

Trip to Yosemite
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the cabin for our trip to Yosemite. The cabin is beautiful and private and about 30 minutes from the entrance to Yosemite. We enjoyed seeing the deer that stay under the deck each morning and evening we were there.

Marty your place is amazing! The wrap around deck, the spacious living room and kitchen. Everything was perfect…..even the deer that live under the deck that greeted us every morning was such a beautiful bonus! Thank you for the hospitality and we’d love to stay here again!

Weekend Getaway
My family and I spent the weekend in Mary’s charming cabin. The details that went into building this custom cabin are just beautiful. You can tell Mary built this cabin with love. And all I have to say is two shower heads in each bathroom!!! It was a little piece of heaven! We visited local lakes and waterfalls. Mary’s cabin was a home away from home after an all day adventure in the area. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us! We will be back!

Peaceful nest wrapped in nature
The perfect place for some peace and quiet. My friend and I stayed there during our visit to Yosemite. It took us about 30 minutes to drive to Yosemites gate. Everything is just as described in ad and pictures. Very clean and comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. 7 deer and 7 turkeys come in every morning to entertain us as did the squirrels and birds. Very quiet and peaceful. Sitting on deck in comfortable patio chairs in the morning sun was amazing. Cabin was light and bright and had a wonderful energy. Beds were comfortable and plenty of towels. The only thing I would emphasize is arriving before dark as it may be difficult to find otherwise. The gps took us right there and we arrived before dark. However we came home after dark a couple nights and missed it. It is country and driveway to cabin is a dirt road off main road and a sharp turn onto driveway which is also dirt. Mary’s directions are helpful. Mary was awesome. She is a great communicator and made sure everything was perfect. We stopped at Fresno Costco on way and bought food items we needed. Shopping as well as restaurants are rather limited at North Fork. However for us this was not important. There are places 20 minutes or so that you can find all this. Remember windy roads everywhere and beautiful scenery. We actually weren’t feeling well the last day and just stayed at cabin all day. It was perfect. We really enjoyed it. Next time I want to stay longer and just soak up all the good energy that being in nature allows.

Best getaway for our family .
What a well needed beautiful time with our family. Exactly what we needed ,quiet and peaceful with many beautiful trees that surround you. We drove to Bass Lake and enjoyed some fishing, the views were amazing . For the most part we relaxed and took in the peacefulness and beauty of nature. We would love to go back.

Thoughtful and clean cabin -- a great base camp for exploring North Fork area
We had an excellent stay at Mary's cabin. The entire place is clean and thoughtfully organized. We love to cook relatively complicated meals, and the cabin's kitchen and outdoor grill had all the tools and dishes we needed. Cleanup was easy with the dishwasher. More great things... The beds were comfortable, and the property is very quiet at night. The wood-burning stove was a nice treat after a long cold day of hiking. Overall, I appreciate that the house was clean and not cluttered; it helped create a relaxing environment. This house is a great base camp for exploring the North Fork area. We took a day-trip into Yosemite valley on our first day, and then the next day we drove up Minarets Road to explore the San Joaquin watershed.

Escape the hustle and bustle
This is a nice cozy cabin with all the amenities of home conveniently situated in the peaceful mountains of the Sierras. Mary’s attention to detail in trying to make our stay comfortable was hospitable and welcoming. Upon arrival the cabin was fully stocked with essentials in every room. Mary was very helpful from additional directions Google did not provide, information on places to go and things to do in the area and she was available and responsive in answering any and all questions we had. During our stay it snowed, which was beautiful! We were amazed at how much of the wildlife was still active! We saw a family of deer, some turkeys, squirrels, quail and other birds. We had a wonderful time! We would love to experience this cabin during the summer time!

A lovely peaceful sanctuary
Nestled within a hillside canopy of majestic California oaks, this cabin was the perfect retreat. We did a day trip to Yosemite valley and also hiked the hills above Bass Lake. The kitchen is A-grade and the bed was very comfortable. We will come again!

Lovely cabin in the woods
We had a great stay at this lovely cabin surrounded by peaceful woods. It was immaculately clean, comfortable and the owner is very helpful. We loved mornings on the deck watching all the wildlife--deer, a fox, wild turkeys & lots of birds. Perfect location for spending the days at Bass Lake.

Another great stay at Mary’s
This was our 3rd time visiting g Mary’s cabin in the last 5 years. It was just as great as we remembered it. We loved cooking everyday there and relaxing inside and outside of the cabin. Everyday there was different animals that came through. The hi light for my wife was the peacock that we heard all week making an appearance for about a half hour right in front of the house. The next morning we were treated with 6 bucks that showed up to drink and eat all around the property. Thanks again Mary!

Peaceful Retreat
We had a wonderful time at this property. We used it as a "home base" while we visited Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks. The grounds are beautiful and lends itself to wildlife. We were able to see deer, turkeys and coyotes during our stay. It was an awesome place to unwind after a day of sightseeing.

Charming Near-Yosemite Stay
Mary made check-in/out as easy as possible (we even arrived a bit early to drop off our things), and the property itself was wonderfully clean. It came complete with a few board games, toiletries, and some cooking gear which allowed my friends and I to have a wonderful stay. The only gripe I had was no fault of the property itself... I just wish I could've been closer to Yosemite itself! The property is as close to the national park as you can be, without staying inside the park proper, so I'm happy with the value we received in this. Thanks for allowing my friends and I to ring in 30 years at such a nice spot!

Peaceful home in the woods
A true escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. We enjoyed relaxing on the wrap around deck and in the sunny living room with floor to ceiling windows. The fireplace has a beautifully artistic stone wall. The kitchen is well equipped with lots of pots and pans. Before we left I asked the owner, Mary, whether there was a coffee grinder. Lo and behold, there was a brand new coffee grinder when we arrived! Mary also was real helpful in suggesting food and grocery recommendations. Another plus to our stay was that Mary is an acupuncturist, so my husband enjoyed setting up a therapy session with her (her home is just up the hill). My only suggestion for improvement would be to include some kitchen towels.

I'm so sorry you couldn't find the kitchen towels. They are folded and put in the bottom drawer to the left of the stove. I will put one out in plain sight for future guests. I'm so happy you enjoyed your time here!!

Our stay was great. When we arrived to the cabin it was clean and easy to get to. Mary sent us information on different things to do. She was great on communicating with us before and after our stay. Couples Extended Weekend
We’re both first responders & have been working through Covid & home schooling our 4 kids. We were long overdue for an extended weekend away...just the 2 of us! Mary’s property was just what we needed. It was perfect for us two. We could have easily had another couple with us as well! The wrap around deck is beautiful! I loved seeing the peacocks, turkeys & deer roaming right out the windows! We didn’t make it to Yosemite, but we explored Oakhurst & Bass lake along with a hike to some waterfalls just a few miles from the cabin! I would definitely recommend this cabin for a peaceful getaway!! The only negative thing that I have to say is that the mosquitoes were horrible, which is out of Mary’s control. Just come prepared for that! Thank you for sharing your place with us!

Peaceful retreat with my family
My husband and I decided we wanted to visit the area with our two young sons. We wanted a peaceful retreat to spend time with one another. We were looking for a quiet and beautiful location close enough to to activities or town, but something that felt like we were far away. We found it with Mary’s property. The cabin is located on a beautiful peace of property where you can really take in your surroundings. All the windows really allow you to take in the location. The cabin is updated with any and everything you can possibly need. The stonework around the hot stove is breathtaking. My sons enjoyed the wrap around porch, the trees, the “reindeer” deer and fortunately for us the snow. Check in and out was easy, in fact we wanted for nothing and only contacted our host to thank her for the wonderful stay. The location is a close drive to bass lake. The pictures are accurate. Thank you Mary for the wonderful memories. We will definitely be back.

If solitude is what you are looking for, without being too far from civilization this is the spot for you. Pictures and description of property in listing are accurate, no surprises. Peaceful, clean and perfect!!!!
We we’re looking for a nice quiet cabin with all the amenities needed for a week stay and this cabin was perfect! Everything was clean and very cozy and Mary was very easy to get in contact with. My family and I enjoyed the wild turkeys and deers roaming around the property. The cabin is close to Yosemite and Oakhurst which has many stores and restaurants options. I definitely recommend this cabin to families and couples it is very private and well located!

Amazing stay!
We had an amazing stay for our anniversary and Thanksgiving weekend. The cabin itself is very cozy, but not small at all. Kitchen has everything you need to make gourmet meals. BBQ works great too! The only thing we couldn’t manage to locate was a sponge or scrubber. However, the dishwasher works very well and is quiet. The bathrooms were clean and water pressure great with a double shower head! You have beautiful views from every part of the house - so many windows! We took daily walks around the property soaking up the stillness - very tranquil. Because of COVID, we did most of our exploring away from people (outside) or by driving. There are many beautiful drives/look out points around North Fork. Bass Lake, Redinger Lake all close by with beautiful views. We also managed to do a day trip to Yosemite. It was about a 45 minute drive. Easy and surprisingly not packed! Would definitely come back.
