Hi Paul, we are do glad you had a wonderful stay and really appreciate all your comments. We just installed a new dock which should make it much easier to swim, fish or launch kayak/boats. The path down to the dock and river still remains rocky as that is government land and we can't do much about it and it depends on the water levels. Although, we did try to move some big rocks around and removed loose rocks to create a stable pathway down to the dock. I look forward to welcoming you again soon!!

Hello Brynna! I am so glad you had a wonderful stay! I am sorry about the issue with the wasps and it didn't get corrected right away. Being close to the water we do see a lot of bug activity during summer months. We do regular pest control applications to minimize the impact as much as possible. I am happy to report that the wasps near stairs are completely gone. Regarding the water access, I totally understand that the path to the water is rocky and we do mention that in our listing. We now have a BRAND NEW DOCK that makes it very easy to launch kayaks, swim or fish although the path down still remains rocky. The land belongs to Army Co of Engineers and unfortunately we cant change the landscape. The water levels also impact how far down one needs to travel. But am glad you were able to make use of nearby beach areas for the kids to swim!! I hope you come back and visit us soon and enjoy the new dock!
