The ad says check in is 3 PM. Later you get an email from Palmetto Management that says 3 to 5 PM. and that you will receive a text on the day of arrival when the unit is ready. We had not heard anything by 3:45 so I called the office. The young lady who took my call was not very friendly and repeatedly said "you will get a text when the unit is ready". So we went grocery shopping. At 4:30 we decided to drive to the condo complex and go to the unit to see if housekeeping was still there. No one was in the unit so I called the management company again. I spoke to the same girl, who was even more surly this time and once again she says we will get a text when the unit is available. She didn't seem to care that we were standing at the unit's door, that their office was preparing to close nor did she bother to go check with anyone to see what the issue was. Finally, at 4:45 I had had enough and called the office repeatedly and no one would answer. Finally, after about the 6th attempt to call, "Sabrina" answered the phone. This was not the same person I had spoken to before. She swears she sent me the text at 3:15. I never received it. And lastly, the ad for the unit said it was "updated". I guess in their vernacular that means fresh paint because the cabinets and counter tops I'm sure dated to the construction of the building several decades ago. I would never again rent a unit managed by Palmetto because they clearly have no idea what good customer service looks like.
