Room was lovely and clean, staff at reception were helpful!
The food at the brasserie was very average, steak was over cooked and side dishes were cold. We had bread that was just lightly toasted and seemed not appropriate in a restaurant that brands itself as fine dining. The service was very slow despite the restaurant not being busy, took over 20 minutes to order a drink, and we waited a long time for our bill. Tables in the restaurant and bar area were left uncleared and dirty for a long time.
Breakfast was also very disappointing, it was a very basic continental selection and then a selection of egg on toast which was £25pp. We chose not to have breakfast after our first day as we were not happy.
The pool and hot tub were cold despite being advertised as heated and was a shame that as hotel guests we had to pay to use those facilities.
Shame about the food and facilities as the actual room we stayed in and the grounds were lovely!
