But what stood out though was the fantastic service from Paulo, Johnny and Luis and everyone else, who treated us as if we were the most important people in the world. 'While Karao Hotel may offer budget nightly stays, it offers amazingly large rooms, close vicinity to the Liberia airport, public bus directory in front of Karao, and extraordinary professionally brewed coffee shop and breakfast meals. The (made on premises) breakfast items are inexpensive and high quality. Hope you will enjoy my recent photos of these delights, my companion and I stayed twice in December 2025. Perfect in every way.'

'Het was wel erg veel geld voor een super klein hokje. Raam zat erg hoog en kon niet open. Er werden heel veel plastic wegwerp bekers gebruikt.'

'Rooms were great! AC worked amazingly. Margie at the front desk was so helpful with luggage storage and making us feel comfortable. The pool was great and there is an outdoor shower. Breakfast was unreal, many options with the traditional breakfast and coffee was great too! Would recommend to anyone looking for a cheeper stay in Tamarindo with easy access to the beach and downtown. '

'Absolutely beautiful property! Best glamping experience we’ve ever had! The room was so clean and comfortable Linda always made sure we had fresh towels and clean sheets from our long beach days, Geldy was so friendly and welcoming showing us the property and answering any of our questions even helping us get a taxi to the airport after hours. The complementary breakfast was so good a great way to start our Costa Ricans morning with local and delicious food! 10/10 would recommend this place will...

'We had a really lovely three night stay. Both Rolando and Audrey were helpful and nice. The room really suited our family with the king size bed on the main floor and twin beds in the loft. We enjoyed breakfast in the restaurant that shares the site and the massages in the tent on site were fabulous and so well priced. We only wish we could have stayed longer. '

'Heerlijk hotel, prachtig zicht over de Stille Oceaan (de kamer die we geboekt hadden, een echte aanrader wanneer je de prijs bekijkt. De kamer is schoon en verzorgd. Het zwembad is prettig om te gebruiken, zeker bij de daar heersende temperaturen (30° <> 35°) Het "restaurant" is niet om over naar huis te schrijven maar dat wordt weer goed gemaakt door de zeer goede restaurants in de directe omgeving van het hotel. 'The room was very comfortable and spacious. Our children enjoyed the pool which was clean and well cared for. We ate three meals at the restaurant which were all great. The staff were all friendly. We saw iguanas and monkeys in the courtyard which was also fun. Highly recommend.'

'The location and vibe was perfect for us! The room was simple, neat, clean and they honored our request for a room with the couch. The bathrooms could use an update or refresh. They are dated. The restaurant was delicious and a nice surprise in this sleepy town. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Took advantage of yoga which was great. The pools are very small but lots of lounges, hammocks, ping pong and a great lending library! Will definitely return to this sleepy but fabulous town! '

'Geweldig hotel direct aan het strand. Het strand zelf is rustig en de zee heeft een heerlijke temperatuur. Er komen zelf apen over het terrein 🐒 Ruime kamer met een goede badkamer en een goede douche. Restaurant is ook goed. Zeker een aanrader!'
