'One of my worst hotel experiences. The air conditioning in the room did not work and there is no overnight staff to contact. It was 34 degrees. There is no bottled water in the rooms (you cannot drink the tap water). When an extra towel was requested (for the second person in the room - the room had 2 beds) the staff said none were available as they needed to do laundry. But everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. 'We had booked this hotel as the final leg of our Safari in mainland Tanzania. Expectations were high in line with the rest of our trip, only the reality was different. Nungwi beach resort has seen its best days. Structure is dated, rooms are old, creaky fans and leaky aircons remind you of times past. If you are used to hostels and looking to upgrade, then this could fit the bill. The staff are nice enough though and they tried to make amends. We checked out after two nights as it was not...
