'Overall I would rate this stay excellent. The room and view was lovely. Super clean and appeared to be newly redecorated. My only complaint would be that the following morning our exit from the floor our room on was blocked. Both stairs and lift with no direction on how to get out. Had their been a fire goodness only knows if we’d have had time to find an alternative way out in time. '

Cleanliness was second to none, so if that's what concerns you when travelling, then Eagle house is for you its spotless.
Andy and Helen are great hosts and very welcoming.
The town is just a short walk with some lovely pubs and restaurants to choose from.

"Highly recommend to stay at Cromwell’s Tap House. It’s located in the heart of Shrewsbury, at walking distance of pretty much everything in town. Only 7 minutes from the train station. The rooms were located on the first floor above the pub. We heard no noise whatsoever, and only in the morning we heard some cars go by, but it was of no nuisance to us. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and there were a lot of amenities like a hairdryer, coffee, tea, and towels. The linen were also very clean. The discount at the pub was a nice bonus; they have a nice selection of beers at good prices."
