Very spacious
We didn't spend alot of time at the property but when we did it was great. The close proximity to Yosemite was definitely a plus! Town was a mear 5 miles away and we spotted wild turkeys in the backyard. The owners text me a few times and I spoke with Sunday (the owner) and they sound like really great people!

Fantastic Home for our Yosemite Vacation
Absolutely loved our stay at the Heavenly Gateway. The house was very clean and had lots of room. The house was definitely a highlight on our Yosemite Vacation and hope to go back soon!

Restful getaway
Received timely check in details, prompt communication with owners. The property was beautiful, great layout especially for large groups, excellent views to enjoy from deck and yes we got to see deer and turkeys . We got to explore a bit of the property outdoors and it just felt so refreshing. My kids enjoyed the playroom!!! The drive to the property is about 8-10 minutes into town. We would definitely love to come back and visit!!

Spacious and Clean
I stayed at this house w my my kids, my brother and his kids along w our mom and our very first impression of the house was that it was very cozy and welcoming. The kids looooooved the game room and spent the majority of their time there. The owners were very communicative and responded almost immediately whenever we had a question or issue. If it wasn't so hot, we would have got out and explored their large property. Def one of the bests homes we have stayed in for vacation.

This house is better and more beautiful than the pictures show. Views from the porch are great!
This is a great house! We had a group of 9 from the East Coast traveling together, and truly enjoyed our stay. The game room is great. Once you figure out how to stagger hot showers so everyone has hot water, you will love this place. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking, and the grill is super. The owner was excellent about contacting us if any needs arose. We would highly recommend this house!

Exceptional home
We absolutely loved this property!! Very large five bedroom, three bathroom home. Has a wrap around deck with seating for 14 with amazing views! Very quiet location but near to Bass lake and Oakhurst. Really fun game room downstairs along with another whole living room and bedroom. Very well appointed kitchen with everything you need. Sunday and Lars were very attentive to our needs and great hosts! We will definitely be back again!

Perfect setting and location
Perfect house for my family. We all (9 people) had our own room including my daughter. Sunday gave us great explanation of the house and nearby places to eat and see. Somedays we were excited to get back early and enjoy the house.

Was a nice stay we enjoyed the property and the peacefulness of the area with beautiful views. We could not get the downstairs air to work but the owners were very helpful. The fusball and the air hockey were also not working. I would give it a 3.5 stars ⭐️

Hi Marybeth, thank you for visiting. It's unfortunate, but we were there in June to prepare for summer. We are now back in August, and just in those few months a lot is in need of maintenance. We have now replaced the air conditioner down stairs, bought new air hockey pucks, and foosball balls, and handles. Fixed the closet door in one of the bedrooms, etc. Everything in the kitchen had been completely rearranged, into a mess, took a screen off the bedroom window. I could continue. I really wish people would respect the homes they rent, but the sad truth is they don't. We replaced the dart board in June to a magnetic one, because people just shot holes in all our walls, and ceiling. People tend to just let their kids run a muck in the game room, and I have no idea what they do with everything. All I can say is I'm sorry. We have decided to hire someone to come in now just to check and do inventory, to hold those responsible accountable, so that all can enjoy. Sad we have to do that. Our cleaners are busy with the task of cleaning and over look, and even though we specifically ask people to call us and let us know, what needs attention, they don't.

Large house, great location
We had a group of 5 adults spending a few days in Yosemite prior to backpacking on the JMT. We really enjoyed the house, it is very spacious. There was a ping-pong table, foosball and air hockey table, unfortunately the latter two were not usable. We did enjoy the ping-pong though. Would definitely recommend the property.

Nice location & view
The location was great, nice view, house was large enough for our group. One thing to note, there is another small rental unit on the property, so there might be other people. It wasn’t a big deal, but it would’ve been nice if this had been disclosed to us.

Overall the property is okay
We did enjoy our stay... Overall the property is okay. We got there late on Friday night planning to do steaks on the grill. The gas tank was empty (and the grill not real clean)... We were unable to grill. The dishwasher had a few inches of very smelly water in the bottom. We were able to drain and run it... but had to deal with it. The shower in the master bath was a hand held hose... it has a wall mount but wouldn't stay mounted during a shower. Also found it odd that they require dishes to washed and put away upon exit and NOT to leave in the dishwasher (Maybe due to the water issue?).

Hi Mike, sorry your stay wasn't up to your expectations. We do keep a back up propane tank. If you had called, we would have told you where to find it. I'm not sure why the dishwasher had smelly water. The last guests must have shut it down prior to finishing. Thanks for draining it. We've never experienced a problem with the shower hose mount. Smart and Amazing Home
We LOVED our Friendsgiving at Heavens Gateway. The most phenomenal aspect of our stay is being in the snow on the vast property. The house was just perfect for four couples and four kids to feast, play, and simply absorb the beauty of the landscape and deers in snow. Summer and Lars are kind, thoughtful, and attentive. Great family trip to yosemite
Large property in beautiful location, 10 min to grocery stores and restaurants and 30 min drive into Yosemite park. Clean and tastefully furnished, the kids loved all the amenities like ping pong, foosball, air hockey, etc. 9 of us and we had room to spare. Definitely recommended.

Great Stay
My family of 5 had a great stay at Heavens gate. The house is spacious & comfortable. The sunsets off the back deck were incredible. The proximity to Yosemite & Bass Lake were perfect for our schedule. Would recommend this property to anyone! Hope to visit again one day. Yosemite National Park is jaw dropping gorgeous!

Yosemite Family Trip July 2019
Our family stay at this property was an excellent choice. Close to Bass Lake, Mariposa Grove, and Yosemite valley. easy drive to any of these locations for day trips. Sunset views from outside patio was spectacular as were stars at night. Our family group had 10 adults and 5 children and the house easily accommodated us. The property owner Sunday was easily reachable and was a joy to work with. This property is highly recommended.

Great property
My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at Heaven's Gate. Sunday was quick to answer any of my questions or requests, and was a great host. The property itself was large and beautiful and we were able to play in the snow all around the property without having to leave for a snow play place. The house was well stocked with supplies in the kitchen, and the game room was a nice addition that we spent a lot of time using. There are many grocery stores and food places within 10-15 minutes of the house, which made it very convenient to cook our own food at the house. The only complaints were that the downstairs heater in the living space didn't work consistently, and using the fireplace made the whole house (especially downstairs) smell like smoke even with the heater off. I highly recommend this space for families or couples to stay at!

Great Yosemite Location
We stayed in this house for three days with three families (6 kids total). The house was great. The house was clean and comfortable. The kids loved the game room as well as the outdoor swing and all of the wildlife in the neighborhood. We saw deer and wild turkey regularly. The house was about a 15-minute drive into Oakhurst where we had great food and ice cream and slightly over 30 minutes into Yosemite. This house is great and we were thrilled with our stay.

Large, comfortable country home on 14 acres, solar, large decks, designed for large families
We were a three generation group of 10, and all enjoyed this home. Country living was great. A resident deer family was around every day. Coomforters on each bed. Garage conversion to game room was heaven for our five kids. Landlady has worked to provide instructions for operating heater, AC, etc, and to provide a well provided kitchen. Lots of good TVs, our only problem was Dish reception, which was poor because of very bad weather. When weather cleared, so did reception. WiFi was always great. Comfortable size room, large even for public areas. Layout encourages casual dining or deck dining, as table seats six, then has a counter for the kids. We enjoyed our stay very much

Great big house with great views.
