Prachtig luxe Victoriaans huis, 4 slaapkamers met 2 badkamers, gelegen in de prestigieuze wijk Alameda Gold Coast, dicht bij de luchthaven van Oakland, minuten lopen naar het strand, gemakkelijk vervoer naar San Francisco met de veerboot, bart of bus, in de buurt van Oakland Coliseum, Oracle Arena en UC Berkeley, centraal gelegen nabij de binnenstad van Webster, vol met coffeeshops, restaurants, supermarkten. Loop naar Crown Beach met spectaculair uitzicht op San Francisco.

De ruimte
Dit is een prachtig Victoriaans huis gebouwd in 1908, met prachtige vintage details overal, en recent luxe upgrades van boven naar beneden. Het is versierd met het Franse landsthema. De buurt is rustig, veilig en gastvrij. Huis is uitgerust met high speed internet (gratis wifi), flatscreen-tv en wasmachine / droger.

Interactie met gasten
Ik ben een heel gemakkelijke persoon. Elke gast wordt gerespecteerd en verzorgd tijdens zijn verblijf. Absoluut geen probleem als u een schotel, een glas breekt of per ongeluk een tafel krabt of iets op het tapijt morst. Dingen zijn bedoeld om te worden gebruikt en gasten moeten vrij leven tijdens hun bezoek.
Ik woon in Santa Clara, 45 minuten ten zuiden van Alameda. De meeste dagen niet ter plaatse, maar altijd beschikbaar per telefoon of sms, en geeft gasten onmiddellijk aandacht. Mijn vriendelijke buren Dean en Stacy boden aan om te helpen in noodsituaties. Mijn volwassen zoon, Sean (25), woont op een halve mijl afstand van het pand kan ook helpen.

Great home base for multi-generational family stay

We traveled to the Bay Area with our two kids (6 and under) and my parents. The house had ample space for all of us in a great, family friendly location. It was easy to find street parking for two cars right on the block. In addition to the many restaurants in Alameda, there's quick access to downtown Oakland and the major freeways. The beds and bedding were comfortable and we enjoyed the outdoor space in the backyard. Given that the bedrooms connect through commons spaces and/or a very small central hallway, we did have to tip toe around a bit while our kids were falling asleep, but there were lots of doors we could close and it worked out fine, just something to note if you have any sensitive sleepers. We did find the bathroom amenities to be understocked when we arrived (no body wash in the dispensers or tissues in the bathrooms), but we were able to find everything where the host had indicated, and Diana was quick to respond to a question we had. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the property to other families.

My first experience with a VRBO so not sure of what to expect. House was clean. Beds comfortable. Hot water in bath between bedrooms was too hot and could not be controlled. A safety hazard for sure. Seven of us having to use one shower made it difficult to keep up with our schedule. Difficult washing and rinsing hair especially hard. I did not contact the owner.about the problem.

Lovely house in a great location

We were a group of seven: 4 adults and 3 children (all under 8). The house was lovely, with plenty of room for our group. It was very well supplied with everything we needed for cooking and housekeeping. The location is great for small children with two playgrounds and the beach within walking distance. For the adults, there is a friendly coffee shop just a few blocks away. The owner was very responsive and helpful. We would look forward to staying here again.

Comfortable in every way and room for everyone

Host was very quick to respond to messages. Very nice walkable neighborhood. We had a minivan so had to park on the street but there was always space available on the same block. Beds were very comfortable. House was clean. Having a back porch was a plus for the young adults in the group to escape from the old fogeys. Having a couple of desks in the place was very useful. Pictures might not be 100% up to date - I believe room four now has two twin beds rather than a twin plus a full futon (Better imo). There is also a spare twin in one of the closets. We made the right choice with this place.

Exactly what we wanted

The house is adorable. The pictures don’t do it justice. Plenty of room, comfortable beds, lots of space for multigenerational family. We love Alameda. The house was very well cleaned. Lots of towels and blankets. Heat worked well to keep us comfortable during the cool nights. Loved walking around the neighborhood. The homes are gorgeous in the area. We were able to make our Thanksgiving dinner in the kitchen (although some items were purchased pre-cooked). We played cards around the table in the evenings. Everyone was comfortable. (Please check the legs on the kitchen table chairs, a couple may not last much longer). Note: the wifi works better towards the back of the house so the tv in the front room wasn’t able to connect. The kitchen could use a regular toaster.

Beautiful home for the weekend

This house is exactly as listed in the ad. It is beautiful and in a great location. We were able to walk to the water and to some local parks. Everything was clean and Diane was easy to communicate with. She even brought in a pack n play and high chair for my daughter. I will definitely be staying again.

Great home in a quiet neighborhood

This house was great for our group of 9. The house is decorated with many cute accents that makes it feel very homey. The kitchen is a nice size and could accommodate our group. The neighborhood is quiet. Parking on the street was easy. The front porch and backyard have nice outside seating after a busy day in the city.
