It’s a great property in a beautiful location. The absence of a common lounge means that whilst there you are confined to the bedroom. There is a dining room which functions well. Outside areas are exposed and in inclement weather cannot be used.

I loved everything about Aspen Lodge. Carol was so kind and hospitable! The view while we had breakfast outside was amazing! We wish we could have stayed more days! I definitely recommend this place! If I ever visit Scotland again I would for sure make sure I stay at Aspen.

Carol and Bobby are the perfect hosts - very welcoming and they really want you to enjoy your stay. The views from Aspen Lodge are as breathtaking as anywhere in Scotland. It is a 5 minute drive to Oban where there is plenty to see and do. The room was first class in every respect and the breakfast was also top quality. Very highly recommended!

We were extremely happy with our 2-day stay at the Aspen Lodge. The food, service, cleanliness were excellent and we were warmly greeted and taken care of from the minute we arrived until we left. The location is quiet and serene yet close enough to Town to take full advantage of the local amenities.

The views are outstanding from this property and the hosts could not have been more accommodating and helpful. The room is lovely as well. One of the best hot breakfasts I have ever had. Definitely would stay here again. They also let us leave our car for a week during our trip to Iona.

Wonderful ! The only way to describe our recent stay at Aspen Lodge. Bobby and Carol are the perfect hosts, friendly, helpful and totally genuine. We had a patio outside our room from which we had probably a 150 degree uninterrupted panorama of the surrounding hills, just add a bit of sunshine and a glass of whisky, and you have a perfect evening, just sitting outside on the bench, with a drink, taking in the view with just a babbling brook and bird song the only noise you will hear. The room was OK size wise, not too big or too small and was modern and clean. TV was perhaps a little too small for us and the settee had definitely seen better days, but with all that the area around Aspen Lodge has to offer and the view outside our room, we didn’t spend too long inside our room watching the telly. The bathroom was large and beautifully decorated with a superb shower, all the toiletries you will need and the softest, fluffiest towels you can imagine with lashings of hot water (although it did take a long time to come through ! ). Breakfast was excellent and more than adequate for us with the choice of the usual cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, fruit juice, cooked food, toast etc, etc, all freshly cooked personally for you when you arrive for breakfast ( baked beans not available though – how weird ! ). Aspen Lodge only has 3 rooms so you are guaranteed personal attention if you want it. Carol is more than happy for you to bring your own wine or beer to your room and will even

Great night stay
Our only regret was that we were only there for one night. The lodge is clean and comfortable and the hosts are just amazing people. The view is the best you will ever have for a stay.

Absolutely gorgeous! We stated @ the Aspen Lodge for only 1 night; next time we’re in Scotland we will definitely plan a longer visit. Impeccably clean, both the room and bathroom. Carol was courteous and very friendly. Have you camera ready as the views you will see while staying @ the Aspen Lodge are breathtaking. We can't thank Carol & Bobby enough for how welcome me were made at Aspen Lodge. We stayed here for the first few days of our honeymoon in Scotland and upon our arrival we were immediately made welcome and shown around the Lodge. It was very well kept, clean and tidy and the views surrounding were breath-taking. When Carol found out that we were on our honeymoon she went the extra mile to make sure the time spent at Aspen Lodge was special. From a bottle of Champagne to tastings of the Whiskey from her personal stash from when she worked at the Distillery. Finally, the Breakfasts were amazing. You have to try the Bacon and Waffles! and the Full Scottish Breakfasts were cooked to perfection and all Locally Sourced! Thankyou so much! Already planning our next visit! Tom & Lauren

Outstanding hospitality in a stunning location
Just a mile outside Oban, Aspen Lodge offers the warmest and friendliest of welcomes and spectacular views. It’s definitely worth staying a few nights here to explore the area (great coastal walks and around Kerrera island). Some lovely eateries including Coast, Ee-usk and Etive. Carol and Bobby are terrific hosts and the breakfasts are amazing - with fantastic views!

A great B&B
When travelling in rural Scotland, B&Bs are my preferred accommodation and Aspen Lodge demonstrates why. A warm welcome, comfortable room, excellent breakfast and at all times the personal touches which make this type of stay something special. Aspen Lodge is a few miles out of Oban with views of open countryside. The rooms are comfortable and cleanliness is clearly a top priority. Breakfast offered a cooked to order menu with freshly- made, piping hot food. Carol was a really welcoming and helpful host. She's says that chatting to guests is the best part of her job!

Outstanding accommodation and hosts in a quiet and beautiful location overlooking the hills however you are only minutes from the centre of Oban. Lovely breakfast cooked fresh to order. Hosts were friendly and knowledgeable about the local area giving good advice on places to visit and where to eat. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic stay. The hosts were so gracious and helpful. Yummy breakfast, great view, stylish room decorations, heated bathroom floor. For a 3 day stay the location was perfect - not in central Oban so it’s peaceful but close enough to the resort to enjoy all that Oban has to offer (taxis will pick up and drop off for about 8 pounds one way if you don’t want to drive in). Will definitely go back!

Secluded getaway just minutes outside of Oban. Got a flat tire on the way up and Audrey and her husband helped get the spare on while we checked in - very kind! The rooms are quiet, comfortable, and very updated. The shower is amazing and breakfast was exquisite. If you’re looking for a West end Scotland getaway, look no further!

Very nice and out of the way !
We thought the GPS was giving us wrong info (not updated) but we kept going and came right on it! Aspen Lodge is friendly and cozy and Audrey is amazingly nice ! The views were great ! Food was very good and the place was very clean! We would definitely go back !
