My family and I have been staying at The Pyramid for the past 14 years. We love the location and the all-ocean-facing rooms. 9G is a lovely property - it was light and airy, nice furniture, clean, working TVs, good A/C. The negatives: broken disposal, beds weren't very comfortable.On the last day we were out of the property as instructed by 10 am. As we've done every year, we went to enjoy a couple of hours at the beach before leaving. After going to the beach until noon, we went to our car to get personal items to shower in the first floor restrooms. While we were walking to the bathrooms, we were approached by Butch Bishop, who advised that check out was at 10 and our parking permit was expired. We advised that we were taking quick showers on the FIRST FLOOR, had already checked out of our room, and would be leaving shortly. He told us the parking permit expired; the permit says "8/15." It does not have a time stamp on it.While I was getting dressed and getting my daughter dressed, I received a phone call from Vacasa telling me that Mr. Bishop called and told Vacasa that we were returning to our room to shower. This is not true. We (1) told him we were showering on the first floor, and (2) did, in fact, shower on the first floor.In the 15 minutes between our conversation with Mr. Bishop and our shower, someone put a "TOWING NOTICE" on our car despite the slip stating "8/15." He said that because check out was at 10, it was presumed the permit expired at 10 am.
