We stayed in a two bedroom villa with fully equipped kitchen. The herdade is a lovely place to stay. Breakfast Corona safe with good service from the staff. Very friendly staff. Nice pool with lots of space. Nice walk to the ocean side, but high cliffs, we did not dare to climb down. The ordering at the restaurant went a bit chaotic, friendly but inexperienced staff.

Herdade Do Touril is one of the nicest places we have stayed in our many travels around the world. The facilities are quite nice and well maintained. The property is like none other, surrounded by thousands of acres of farmland. It’s quiet, relaxing and one gets a sense of bring “away from it all” and yet there are miles of walking and biking trails along the ocean as well as through the farming areas. There is a wonderful breakfast buffet from 0830-1200 hours. The ever present hotel manager, Luis and his able assistant, Tatiana were wonderful to us during our check in and throughout our stay. Our waiter, Diogo, at dinner each night was fantastic. And of course the place would not function without the resident donkey named Violeta who, along with her sheep and goat friends, provided endless entertainment. If travel plans bring you anywhere near Zambujeira Do Mar, you will not regret choosing Herdade Do Touril to relax and enjoy all it has to offer.

Miguel and the rest of the staff made us feel at home upon our arrival. The cottage was lovely and peaceful. And we looked forward each morning to breakfast besides on the porch with birds providing the music. Miguel guided us about activities in and around Zambujeira which helped us plan our stay there. Our son particularly loved petting and feeding the resident donkey on the property, Violet! We loved it here and would definitely want to visit Herdade do Touril again.

Abbiamo soggiornato qui a febbraio, quindi fuori stagione. La struttura è veramente meravigliosa, immersa nella natura, gli spazi comuni sono bellissimi e la camera era molto spaziosa e pulita oltre che ristrutturata di recente. Ci è stato fatto un upgrade della camera e ci sono stati proposti diversi servizi, purtroppo il ristorante era chiuso per manutenzione( ci hanno mandato una mail per avvertirci e ci hanno anche chiamato per assicurarsi che l’avessimo vista). In definitiva, se ricapiteremo da queste parti ci torneremo sicuramente.

Relaxing getaway
Our stay at Herdade do Touril was the relaxing escape we needed. We booked the double room apartment that was located across the road from the main building, which was a surprise, but didn't bother us since that allowed us to enjoy a private garden and a BBQ. The apartment also had a fully equipped kitchen which the hotel staff replenished with breakfast itens everyday. We also received fresh bread and pastry every morning. Overall, a very pleasant stay. Would definitely stay again at Herdade do Touril.

This was a marvelous property, very unique. We had a room with a fireplace, kitchenette and terrace. Breakfast was wonderful in a very nice setting, eggs were prepared to order. We started our day with a walk to the Cliffs approximately 1 KM away accessed from the property. Luis was extraordinarily helpful at check-in giving us not only recommendations for the immediate area but for the rest of our trip through Portugal. The only negative we can say is the Wi-Fi didn’t work at anytime during our overnight stay in our room, only outside.

Hôtel rural chic, mais petites chambres
Hôtel rural chic, belles parties communes, haut de gamme. Un salon avec une belle cheminée, donnant sur le jardin / piscine et au loin, la mer. Grand calme. Chambre propre, moderne, lit très confortable et sol de la SdB chauffant :). Mais SdB donnant dans la chambre, sans cloisons totale, donc peu d'intimité et surtout chaleur dans la chambre. Climatiseur bruyant et peu efficace. Moustiquaires percées. Chambre de très petite taille. Personnel très agréable. PdJ à 8.30, donc rush dès l'ouverture. Choix suffisant.

An amazing place to stay over night all for a whole week. Charming beautiful decorated little farm houses. Where modern meets traditional. Would absolutely recommended. Right on the cycling and hiking path along beautiful Atlantic coast. Will try to come back ;)

Not what we expcted
Our check in was perfect the lady gave us a good orientation. Then we realised that we were staying in a field across the road from the main building which was a good 15 minutes walkaway. The room one of three was very small with an uncomfortable bed. The breakfast was at best average not as good as others had stated. The area was very quiet and very scenic with free. bicycles a great way to see the beautiful countryside. We felt that it was not value for the price we paid.

A perfect choice to relax!
Super relaxing place in Alentejo! The guest rooms are beautifully decorated and very clean. The outdoor fire place was an amazing surprise to have a drink around it while looking at the stars.. if you want to relax and get away from the crazy life from the city, this is a great choice. Good breakfast until late in the morning! From the hotel you can go for a hike, choosing one walking tour suggested by the hotel.

Perfect place to enjoy Costa Vicentina
This property was amazing, everything was well thought, from the decoration, to the amenities and the public areas. The team was very helpful and professional. The room was nice and spacious, extremely well clean, there was a fridge and facilities for coffee and tea. Outside the room there was an adjacent Terrance with two sunbeds, great to enjoy the sunset. The pool area is very pleasant with plenty of space to lounge. One of the nights we had dinner by the pool bar, the food was tasty and the wine list was great. Breakfast is in the top 5, plenty of offer, home made and local products, delicious bread and the little natas was to die for. We also borrow bikes to go to Zambujeira, easy pleasant ride. We loved to stay at this place, hope next time we can stay longer. A big thanks to all the team

The best rural hotel on Portugal, for sure
Herdade do Touril We love this place - quite and in the middle of nowhere, but very close to the most picturesque coastline of Portugal (5 min by bike or 15 min walk) and gorgeous beaches (15-30 min drive) We are coming here third consecutive summer to enjoy tranquil rural experience in style. This year we stayed 4 nights In one bedroom apartment- nicely decorated, comfortable and cozy, part of the house with private terrace and countryside view. Complimentary bicycles and gorgeous bike (hike) road along of cliffy coast toward to the light house Cabo Sardao is really good bonus. Also this year been surprised how much improvement have been done at the property. It’s a bit price now but worth every penny. Would definitely keep coming back here and highly recommend this place

Entspannung pur mit hoher Gastfreundlichkeit
Die Unterkunft ist wirklich toll und absolut weiterzuempfehlen. Die Einrichtung ist mit viel liebe zum Detail und sehr individuell ausgewählt worden, sodass man sich einfach wohl fühlen muss. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker mit Fokus auf regionalen Produkten, sodass man entspannt in den Tag starten konnte. Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr bemüht und freundlich, sodass man sich absolut willkommen gefühlt hat. Durch die tolle Umgebung des Hotels konnte man einige sehr schöne Ausglüge unternehmen. Tolle Strände waren in unmittelbarer Nähe. Lediglich verwirrend war für uns die Zimmer-Bezeichnung „Juniorzimmer“. Wir haben über Expedia ein ganz normales Doppelzimmer gebucht und dann dieses zugeteilt bekommen. Es war sehr schön eingerichtet, aber wirklich winzig (ohne geschlossene Wand zur Toilette). Wir hatten schon Probleme unsere zwei Koffer dort überhaupt zu öffnen. Hier hätten wir zumindest auf einen Hinweis vorab gehofft, bzw. auf das Angebot zu einem Upgrade, da das Hotel nicht ausgebucht war. Aber insgesamt eine traumhaft schöne Location, die man nur weiterempfehlen kann!

An oasis after a long hike!
We hiked the Rota Vicentina which is a wonderful newish hiking trail along the coast of Portugal. Walking into this oasis was wonderful. Great villa with a fireplace. Very supportive staff.
