Comfortabel en compleet huis
Het huis voldeed aan de verwachtingen uit de presentatie. De eigenaar was zeer vriendelijk, behulpzaam en makkelijk te bereiken. Goed uitgerust huis met de nodige luxe. De jacuzzi op het terras was een heerlijke bonus bij 28 graden. Rustig dorpje in een mooie omgeving van wijngaarden.

Rob et sa compagne ont été des hôtes d'une grande délicatesse. Ils étaient très intéressés par les traditions champenoises et ont eu l'occasion de visiter de nombreuses maisons de champagne où l'accueil a toujours été convivial et sympathique. Ils semblent avoir bien apprécié les prestations que nous leur avons proposées et pourraient revenir prochainement à L'Oeuillade. Nous les accueillerons volontiers. Ils ont également laissé le gîte dans un excellent état de propreté.

Lovely cottage in Champagne country side
The holiday home is nestled in a small village in the Champagne country side. It is near Epernay and the Route de Champagne. Reims is half hour away. The online photo's show exactly how it is, modern and light decor, comfortable beds and two bathrooms, and fully functioning kitchen. Outside there is a large patio. We stayed here with two couples and there was plenty space to sit at the kitchen bar, large table or sofa. The owners Chantal and Jean Eric are very nice and check in was very easy. They gave us tips about the area and even called a champagne house nearby to arrange a visit. All in all we had a very nice stay in an excellent home.

Linda and her friends were perfect travelers and very communicative. They were interested in local traditions, the Grandes Maisons de Champagne and our famous drink: Champagne! They were pleased to discover the tourist places of the region. They seem to have appreciated the services we offered them. And they left the house in a perfect state of cleanliness.

Prima uitvalsbasis
Deze verzorgde en mooi gerenoveerde woning is een prima uitvalsbasis om de Champagnestreek te verkennen. Wij verbleven er gedurende een weekend en hebben ervaren dat de eigenaars er alles willen aan doen om het verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken. Zeker een aanrader.

Marjon, Frank et leurs trois enfants ont été des hôtes très agréables qui ont pleinement apprécié les prestations que nous leur avons proposées (terrasse, spa, salon de jardin...). Ils aiment le contact et communiquent aisément. De plus, ils ont laissé le gîte dans un remarquable état de propreté. Marjon, Frank en hun drie kinderen waren zeer aangename gastheren die de voordelen die we hen hebben voorgesteld (terras, spa, tuinmeubelen ...) volledig naar waarde geschat. Ze houden contact en gemakkelijk te communiceren. Bovendien lieten ze het huis in een opmerkelijke staat van netheid. Marjon, Frank and their three children were very pleasant hosts who thoroughly enjoyed the amenities we offered them (terrace, spa, garden furniture ...). They love contact and communicate easily. Best VRBO we’ve stayed
Wonderful stay! The host and hostess are wonderful. Provided a great deal of info ahead of time, including advice of winery tours and restaurants. The house itself was so modern and comfortable and beautifully decorated. Our host welcomed us with a bottle of champagne and introduced us to the tradition of “sabering a bottle” of champagne. The garden and yard are beautiful and coffee on the deck in the mornings was magical. The village of OEuilly is a charming 330 person place with vineyards right at the doorstep of houses. We took great walks up the slope in the valley in the mornings and evenings. Simply put, best VRBO we’ve stayed in across France or USA. We will be back !!!! Thank you

If you are visiting Champagne, stay in this home.
We had planned to visit Champagne in 2020 and confidently booked this home based on the website information and the extraordinarily positive reviews. Unfortunately, we had to cancel that trip due to the Covid pandemic. When finally able to travel again, we were very pleased that Jean-Eric’s home was available and booked it without hesitation. Our four night stay was wonderful for the reasons given in all of the previous reviews and thanks in no small part to Jean-Eric’s professionalism and warm hospitality. Particular highlights were of course the ‘sabre ceremony’ and a memorable three course dinner by Chantelle.

Vacation of Dreams! Jean-Eric is the BEST!
Cannot speak more highly of this place! My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of enjoying both this beautiful and spacious cottage and also the company of Jean-Eric and his wife. Upon arrival Jean-Eric was beyond accommodating. He assisted us in travel details to make sure we arrived at our daily excursions easily and safely. His recommendations of both champagne houses and local restaurants were perfection. He and his wife presented beautiful breakfasts and even a birthday brunch including a candle! The cottage has everything someone can need or desire with beautiful countryside views out every window. And the best part, you can’t find a better host in Champagne. I hope we are lifelong friends. This was easily the best house rental experience of my life.

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt inmitten der Champagne
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt im kleinen Örtchen. Das Ferienhaus war gut ausgestattet und geräumig. In der Umgebung lassen sich viele Dinge anschauen! Champagnerproduktion, Reims!!! unbedingt anschauen, Paris ist nur 1,5 Stunden entfernt und einen Besucht wert. Wir waren 10 Tage im Ferienhaus und haben jede Minute genossen.

Nous avons passé deux nuits dans le gite de Chantal et Jean-Eric, et trois agréables journées en Champagne. Si vous souhaitez découvrir la Champagne ainsi que le Champagne nous ne pouvons que vous recommandez ce gîte. Parfaitement équipé tant dans la maison que dans le jardin. A beautiful and cozy house in the heart of Champagne
Jean-Eric was very responsive via email. He and his wife both greeted us at the property to help us check in. They are both warm and sweet. The house is immaculate. The hosts have thoughtfully planned for our stay, including detailed notes of nearby attractions and activities. We highly recommend families and couples to rent this place. It has two floors and a lot of space.

Beautiful gite in Champagne
This is a clean comfortable house located in the countryside of Champagne, not far from Epernay and a bit farther from Reims. Jean-Eric and Chantal are wonderful hosts and superb cooks. It is so quiet and peaceful there. We loved it. There are two floors and plenty of room. Jean-Eric and Chantal cooked our dinner twice and it was well worth it. The food was beautifully prepared and delicious. I went to Paris by train one day and it was great to have dinner prepared for me when I returned. We were also presented with delicious rhubarb tartlets. I love rhubarb. We really enjoyed our visit.

Wonderful place to stay!
My husband and I spent two nights in OEuilly at the lodging of Jean-Eric and Chantel and loved it! The home is clean and spacious with it's own private deck, hot tub and BBQ. Jean-Eric and Chantel are gracious hosts and incredible cooks. We would highly advise you to take advantage of their offer to prepare and serve you a meal in your apartment. It was absolutely delicious!

Perfect in every way
Jean-Eric and Chantal are exceptional hosts and the accommodation was beyond expectation. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and this extended to everyone we met in this wonderful part of France. The meals they provided were of exceptional quality and the rhubarb tarts are to die for. We haven't stopped talking about this trip since we came home and would love to return one day soon.

Lovely, clean & quiet property in a great location
We travelled with our 10 month old son to champagne for the first time & it didn't disappoint. At the property we were greeted by Jean-Eric & his wife, they were very helpful in showing us around the property & making us feel welcome. The weather was very hot but Jean-Eric gave us a fan which helped a lot. There was a good amount of space for our son to crawl around and play as well as all the amenities needed to enjoy the house; outside was decked with a table, chairs & parasol. The hot tub was a nice touch, plus there was a good amount of privacy too. Jean-Eric and his wife cooked for us one night, it was a lovely 5 course homemade French menu starting with the ceremonial cutting off of the champagne cork. The meal was obviously at extra cost but VERY reasonable. The property is in a nice countryside location with vineyards all around & just a short car journey into Epernay where we had some great champagne tours. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Champagne & having a property like this to base ourselves certainly helped. We will be back.

Tolles Haus mit perfekten Gastgebern
Die Kommunikation war bereits im Vorfeld sehr nett und umfassend. Das Haus ist an ruhiger Lage; äusserst geschmackvoll, modern und hochwertig eingerichtet. Es ist wirklich alles in bester Qualität vorhanden. Auch an der Sauberkeit gibt es nichts zu bemängeln. Man spürt, dass alles, was Chantal und Jean-Eric machen, von Herzen kommt. Am ersten Abend zeigte uns Jean-Eric, wie eine Champagnerflasche nach alter Tradition mit einem Säbel geöffnet wird. Ein Highlight waren die von den Gastgebern zubereiteten Abendessen. Das sollten Sie nicht verpassen! Auch sonst hat uns Chantal zwischendurch immer wieder mit selbstgemachten Leckereien verwöhnt. Für Tipps betr. Restaurants, Champagnerkeller oder Ausflüge stand uns Jean-Eric jederzeit hilfreich zur Seite. Wir haben ein E-Bike gemietet und damit während 2 Tagen den Radweg entlang der Marne befahren, was ein tolles Naturerlebnis war. Bei der Abwicklung mit dem Vermieter der Bikes hat uns Jean-Eric unterstützt, so dass alles problemlos war. Die Gegend ist wunderschön und bietet viele Ausflugsmöglichkeiten. Also Haus, Gastgeber und Region perfekt, um unvergessliche, gemütliche Ferien zu verbringen. Ein grosses Dankeschön an Chantal und Jean-Eric!

Perfect stay with wonderful hosts
Thank you so very much Jean-Eric and Chantal for a truly amazing stay. L’Oeuillade provided our family of six (4 adults and 2 small children) with a fabulous space that was extremely clean and comfortable. We spent many hours relaxing outside on the deck and in the garden. The location of L’Oeuillade was brilliant – so close to Epernay and the surrounding areas. Jean-Eric and Chantal welcomed us warmly. We experienced a traditional champagne bottle opening with Jean-Eric. Chantal baked us numerous treats during our stay, including the most delicious rhubarb tartlets! Thank you Jean-Eric and Chantal for your hospitality! We will definitely be recommending L’Oeuillade to our friends and would love to stay again when we are next in the Champagne region.

Exceeded our expectations in every way
The location, the beautifully styled cottage and all its appointments and most of all the generous warm welcome from our hosts will remind us of our lovely stay in Northern France.

Quality travelers, very interested in the Champagne region. They easily communicated with us and seem to have appreciated the benefits we offered them. They left the cottage in a very good state of cleanliness.

Paul and his partner seem to have appreciated the benefits we had offered them. They communicated easily with us and were particularly interested in the specialties of the region: Champagne, cellars ... In addition they left the house in an excellent state of cleanliness. Un accueil chaleureux dans un cadre soigné
Une belle maison décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Un bon point de départ pour de belles promenades dans la vallée de la Marne et des excursions en Champagne. L'hospitalité et la cuisine de Jean-Erik et Chantal nous ont plu beaucoup. Merci pour l'accueil chaleureux!

Delightful oasis among the vines
The Oeuillade is a lovely haven for visitors to the Champagne region in a village near Epernay. Bedrooms very comfortable and lovely living area. Did not use outside area or spa because of weather but can imagine they would be a great space to rest and enjoy a glass of wine. Hosts were gracious and welcoming. Enjoyed their catering option, and learned a novel way of opening a bottle of champagne. Would stay here again.

Kathryn, her daughter and her friend were very pleasant travelers and seemed to have enjoyed the services we offered them. The comfort of L'OEUILLADE also pleased them. They were able to discover the region and the Champagne Houses and think one day come back! Finally, they left the lodging in a perfect state of cleanliness.

Beyond perfect!
Our stay was beyond our expectations. The house was nicely renovated and was just lovely! We were pampered with a lovely dinner served at our house and enjoyed our champaign while looking at the stars in the hot tub outside. The owners are very kind and enjoyed it to welcome their guests and really made them feel at home. Nothing was too much to ask. We definately recommend this property!

Mariska and her family were exceptional travelers of kindness. They communicated easily and sought to know the region and our traditions. They seem to have greatly appreciated the services we offered them. We are delighted with their stay!

Lovely gite in a beautiful setting in Champagne
We had a wonderful stay to the champagne region. The gite was lovely and beautifully decorated. We had everything we needed. The hosts were very welcoming and recommended some Champagne houses to visit which we did and had an amazing experience Champagne tasting. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic relaxing gite in the heart of the champagne region.
We enjoyed fantastic week here. The gite is spacious, beautifully decorated, light and airy. The kitchen is very well equipped. The hosts Jean-Eric and Chantel were very welcoming and made contact a week before and on the day of arrival. When we arrived they had left little welcome presents on the children's beds- very thoughtful. The terrace area is great for soaking up the sun and the hot tub is a great way to relax after visiting the local champagne producers. On the subject of champagne, we had a great welcome at Alain Littiere which is 2 minutes walk from the gite. We also visited Prevoteau-Perrier in a neighbouring village and learnt a lot about the different types of champagne. You can cycle straight from the gite to Epernay along a flat cycle path along the river. It is around 10 miles along the river. By car it will take around 15 minutes. We also booked Jean-Eric and Chantel to prepare a meal for us one night and this was a highlight of the stay. The snails were amazing. We would go back to this welcoming gite again. Thank you Jean-Eric and Chantel for your hospitality.

Claire et sa jolie petite Famille ont été des hôtes extrêmement agréables. Ils ont apprécié l'ensemble des prestations que nous leur avons proposées et seraient prêts à revenir. Durant toute cette semaine, ils ont profité de longues balades en VTT sur les nombreuses pistes des environs. Ils ont pu également visiter nos deux partenaires vignerons et déguster le Champagne de la Vallée. Ils ont également laissé le gîte dans un excellent état de propreté et nous ne pouvons que les recommander en tant que voyageurs. Encore merci pour leur confiance et leur gentillesse : leurs enfants nous ont même offert de jolis dessins au moment du départ !!!

Très agréable
Un gîte très agréable, au calme dans un petit village, avec un rapport qualité prix très intéressant. On trouve tout le confort nécessaire dans cet ancien garage réhabilité par les propriétaires très accueillant. La literie est parfaite, la cuisine ouverte sur le salon très bien agencée. Le spa sur la terrasse est un plus très agréable. On a souvent tendance à dire quand c'est mauvais, il faut savoir également dire quand tout est bon comme c'est le cas ici.

Un grand merci à ces deux voyageurs charmants et qui aiment le contact et les échanges. Ils nous ont même très gentiment fourni quelques conseils...en plus de la Nespresso, une nouvelle cafetière-filtre est maintenant en place ! Ils ont également laissé le gîte dans un excellent état de propreté. On peut leur louer sans aucune hésitation !

Excellent séjour en famille
Très bon séjour en famille au calme (avec deux enfants de bas âge) Propriétaires accueillants et sympathiques, résidant en face du gîte, ils sont à l'écoute et très aimables. Bravo pour la décoration, la maison est plus belle et plus spacieuse en vrai que sur les photos. Très confortable et le nécessaire était présent pour notre bébé. Nous avons apprécié la terrasse et le jacuzzi. Seul bémol, il manquait la barrière sécurité enfant à l'étage. Merci à Jean Eric et Chantal pour leurs petites attentions (notre fils a dévoré ses bonbons ☺️) Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

Siga et Comland sont très attachants ! Une bien jolie famille, très aimable et communicante que nous recommandons particulièrement aux autres hôtes. Les lieux ont été rendus dans un excellent état. Ils ont apprécié les petites attentions que nous avions préparées et leur conseil de barrière pour enfant est justifiée. Nous ferons le nécessaire cette semaine ! Le jacuzzi tout neuf semble avoir eu du succès en effet, et nous avons hâte de revoir cette belle famille... Quant aux photos, nous allons les améliorer afin que nos futurs clients aient encore une meilleure appréciation des lieux avant d'arriver !
