We bevinden ons direct aan de Marginale Weg. Loop 100 voet en maak deel uit van een van de meest begeerde 1 1/4 mijl wandelingen in de VS. Op zoek naar een rustig strand? Amazing view, great location, lovely home

We’ve been coming to OGT for over 25 years but had previously stayed in a hotel, this was our first time renting a home. We stayed for a week in July. The location was ideal, steps from the Marginal Way, convenient to Perkins Cove and also the village. We chose this house for the view, which did not disappoint. The large deck was perfect for sky watching – stars, clouds, storm coming in. We especially appreciated being able to stay out of the midday sun and still see and hear the ocean. The booking manager was accommodating and responsive, with everything from extra toilet paper to recommendations for buying fresh clams. The house is spacious with multiple common areas we could spread out in. The kitchen was well returning.

A week in paradise

I can’t speak highly enough about this gorgeous home and everything about our experience. The home was gorgeous, comfortable, and impeccably clean, and so many things were in place to make our stay easier and more comfortable. Lots of basic needs were met, such as extra toilet paper, paper towels, lots of towels, and beach towels. The booking manager couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. She was very responsive when I reached out with questions but not intrusive in any way. When we arrived , there was a thank you card from her and the owner, along with a lovely bottle of wine. It really felt like this was our home for a week, which was like a dream come true. It’s amazing how private the home is even though it’s right on the marginal way. The landscaping makes it difficult to see the house from the footpath, which is remarkable and so important with the number of people out on the marginal way every day. The view is spectacular, and it’s enough to make you happy just to stay there and enjoy the view in comfort. I would not hesitate to book this home again should I be so lucky or to recommend it to others.

Dream House with Amazing Views

This house is sooo lovely. Seeing the sun in the morning on the water is breathtaking. Our very first night the sky was clear and we sat on the lounge chairs on the balcony and watched for shooting stars. It was magical. It’s magnificent to watch the water change from morning to afternoon to evening with the light and the weather. My daughter 13 and her best friend who is 15 loved that they could walk by themselves into town or to Perkin's Cove to shop. The location was easy access to the Little Beach. And the rest of the time the girls took surf lessons only a mile away up in Wells. The house itself is tasteful and very comfortable. I just loved our stay here. It was an absolute dream.

Spacious with private spaces

The view is spectacular. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor living space. The house is older and has been nicely expanded and updated. The kitchen has everything you’ll need, and the bathrooms are modern and clean. The house is well maintained and nicely appointed but with the quirkiness of an older house, including steep stairs to the upper floors and creaky floorboards. I would say that it is not well-suited for anyone with mobility issues, because there is a minimum of 4 stairs to access any of the bedrooms. Also, there are some knickknacks that may need to be moved to higher levels to escape the reach of little inquisitive hands. There is a beach within walking distance, and the neighborhood is quiet (except for construction next door, which presumably is temporary). Management was very responsive to requests and easy to work with.

Seriously amazing

My friends and I stayed here over Labor Day weekend and it was genuinely one of the best weekends I can remember. Kristen was a great host, very friendly, and incredibly responsive to my questions. The property has one of the best views I’ve ever seen, and its location is very convenient for pretty much any activity you want to do in Ogunquit. If you’re looking for a New England summer experience, really can’t recommend this place enough.

Oh, so relaxing!

The house is so comfortable and interesting. Deck is two levels with comfortable furniture, two tables with umbrellas, and a breath taking view. Caretaker was easy to communicate with and very pleasant. I would definitely rent this home again.

Living a dream on The Marginal Way

Marginal Way is a mile walk along the ocean from Perkins Cove to town of Ogunquit ME. The views of the ocean is outstanding along the way and this house sits right above it. The views are outstanding from the house and patio conjuring dreams of living here all summer & fall, even winter. But alas it is just a dream. However our one week stay was great! The house was very clean, well stocked and very comfortable to live in. Everyone was comfortable in their bed rooms and all systems ran well ... air conditioning, TV, etc. Also the property manager was outstanding from the booking to departure. So if someone wants to dream a little about living on the coast of Maine and enjoying the magic of the ocean and the area, I would highly recommend this house ... even if it is only for week or two.

Great location and incredible view

This property has an incredible view overlooking the crashing waves of the ocean. While it is on the Marginal Way, it sits up high and bushes obstruct the view of people walking by. It is deally located with a short walk to Perkins Cove and downtown Ogunquit. There is an indoor porch with all glass so you can still enjoy the view even in bad weather. A very relaxing week indeed!

Amazing View and Great Location

Having vacationed in Ogunquit for over 20 years, I can say that this rental home is a gem. It is perfect for a family or a group of friends. There are very few properties in the area that offer both breathtaking oceanfront views and walking distance to local shops and restaurants. The neighborhood is very quaint, the house comes equipped with all the beach chairs and equipment you will need, and you are a short walk to the Little Beach and Perkins Cove. Our booking experience and communication with the property manager were very smooth. We look forward to another trip to this property.

Great experience, very laid back environment

Kristen the property manager was excellent throughout the process. We rented this home with friends with a 3 yr old & a 8 month old. Couldn’t have been a better experience, space was perfect for everyone. This is a very nice home & well appointed, would only suggest anyone renting with young children that precautions are taken to respect the owners property. A five star rating, we have reserved it for next year with our friends.

Maginal Way view is best part of stay

The 3rd bedroom is a loft with 4 single beds with low slopped ceilings so has limitations. Stairs to 2nd and 3rd bedroom are steep and narrow but they are carpeted so OK for most folks. The deck is glorious so in good weather it makes the house attractive.

Peaceful Fall Getaway

Everything about this property is exactly as advertised and wonderful. Check in was easy; Kristen oriented us to the property and we quickly felt at home. Spent most of our time in the sun room or the deck just watching the waves. So peaceful. A quick walk to Perkins Cove for our almost daily lobster rolls! Would happily return!
