Fantastische eeuwenoude boerderij gelegen op een werkende veeboerderij in de landelijke Okanogan-vallei. Oma's huis plaatst je midden in een wonderland buiten. Wandelen, vogels kijken, vissen, jagen, paardrijden, skiën, lef, ATV rijden en vele andere avonturen wachten op je! Geniet tijdens uw verblijf van exclusieve toegang voor gasten tot de accommodatie. De boerderijoperatie vindt overal om u heen plaats en uw gastheren wonen anderhalve kilometer verderop. Nabijgelegen toegang tot duizenden hectares openbaar land ook. Blijf en speel in de prachtige Okanogan-vallei!

Sinds 1940 is het huis van oma een plek van plezier en verjonging. Het kreeg de bijnaam "The Halfway House" omdat het een heerlijke plek is om te verdwalen! Gelegen op slechts 9 mijl ten zuiden van Conconully, WA, was het een favoriete stop voor vrienden en familie op weg naar buitenavontuur. Het Conconully-gebied staat bekend om zijn centrale toegang tot duizenden hectares staats- en federaal land. Het is een oase van grote open ruimtes voor elke soort buitenliefhebber. Conconully, rijk aan de traditie van veeteelt, is nog steeds de thuisbasis van werkende families, zoals de onze. Het huis van oma bevindt zich midden in onze boerderij / ranch-operatie en op een willekeurige dag zult u getuige zijn van de zorg voor dieren en het beheer van het land.

Het huis heeft een lichte, vrolijke sfeer en alle gemakken van thuis. Ongeveer 1500 vierkante meter, het huis heeft drie slaapkamers, 2 badkamers, een mooie wasmachine en droger set, een ruime keuken met alles wat je nodig hebt om geweldige maaltijden te creëren en een grote open eetkamer en woonkamer. De bedden, matrassen, beddengoed en handdoeken zijn allemaal GLOEDNIEUW! Het grootste deel van het huis is bedekt met hardhouten vloeren, met uitzondering van de twee achterslaapkamers die voorzien zijn van tapijt. De inrichting is rustiek western en bevat veel familiestukken zoals koeienhuiden en dierenvachten, evenals foto's en memorabilia van onze veeboerderij. Haardrogers, zeep, vuilniszakken en koffie zijn aanwezig.

Het pension ligt te midden van velden en weiden, op slechts 100 meter van de kreek. Gasten kunnen het hele jaar door genieten van wilde dieren, aangezien de ranch duizenden vogels, haviken, adelaars, reigers, ganzen, muledeer, witstaartherten, coyotes, bobcats en af en toe een zwarte beer herbergt. De kreek is de thuisbasis van Rainbow Trout en een kanjer Brown Trout voor de visliefhebber. (Alleen vangen en vrijgeven.) Nabijgelegen meren zijn de thuisbasis van Blue Gill, Crappie, Bass, Trout en Kokanee. De rivieren Okanogan en Columbia bieden onderdak aan Steelhead en zalmvissen op slechts een klein eindje rijden van het huis.

Breng je rubberen laarzen en wandelschoenen mee !! Kleintjes kunnen hele dagen in de wei doorbrengen, insecten en kikkervisjes in de zomer vangen of in de winter spelen en spelen in de sneeuw. Er is wifi-toegang en een gloednieuwe 65 inch Samsung Smart UHD-tv, evenals een bureauruimte, maar we raden u aan om de stekker uit het stopcontact te halen en naar buiten te gaan !!! Het huis heeft airconditioning en centrale verwarming, evenals een toosthaard op propaan om u op te warmen na een dag in de frisse, koele lucht. Het bronwater is schoon en helder - u hoeft geen flessenwater in te pakken.

EXTRA GASTEN (na 2 personen) kosten $ 20 per dag. We begroeten persoonlijk en maken het huis zelf schoon. Geen kans om deze te bedriegen !!! 10 personen is de absolute max.

We hebben nauwe toegang tot Outfitters en gidsen voor jagen, vissen en vele andere ongelooflijke mogelijkheden. We zijn een korte 40 minuten rijden van de Loop Loop Ski Hill en er zijn verschillende geweldige restaurants in de omgeving die je niet wilt missen.

This place is exactly as described. Old farm house converted into a guest house/vrbo with modern add ons. Family history is hanging on the walls which we really enjoyed. As stated by others, this is a working cattle ranch so don't go if you don't care for that kind of surroundings. Mooing cows, tractors and occasional coyotes yapping and howling. We loved it, great place.

At the very beginning things were amazing things went great, they even told us about this broken chair that they had we did a walk-through everything was great our first night there the kids went and had some fun out in the barn that’s in the picture of this place it’s part of the property the gates were closed the owner and his wife show up and are dropping F bombs at 14-year-old girls and then they’re trying to say that we broke a chair after we did a final walk-through and we were clean slate after we paid the extra money for the extra guest At the very beginning things were amazing things went great, they even told us about this broken chair that they had we did a walk-through everything was great our first night there the kids went and have some fun out in the barn that’s in the picture of this place it’s part of the property the gates were closed the owner and his wife show up and are dropping F bombs that 14-year-old girls and then they’re trying to say that we broke a chair after we did a final walk-through and we were clean slate after we paid the extra money for the extra guestNow all of a sudden a week later they’ve got a broken chair these people are not good business people they’re not nice they will smile on your face and do whatever they can to keep your money I recommend nobody ever stay here if you ever get the opportunity go on down the road do not stay at this property very horrible service and people and they lie!!!!!

This property is clearly a long-lived, much loved family home. The personal photos and memories of daily ranching operations make it feel like a home. The location was ideal for us, allowing explorations to many nearby areas. We hope to return again and again!

Some small improvements could have made the stay perfect. There was need for a stock pot, 10-12 quarts for making our pasta. It would have been nice to have a blender. As an old guy one handicapped toilet would have been nice. We cleaned the window over the sink in the kitchen, it improved our view greatly. While the table displays were nice they were in the way and had to be removed for meals and prep.

We spent the weekend there and had a great stay. Nicole and her family are very kind and welcoming and live just down the road on their beautiful farm. The house is accurately described in the listing with two queens, a king, and two sets of bunk beds. The living room is cozy, the kitchen has everything you need and we even used the bbq to cook up some burger. Zero complaints, 5 stars, highly recommend.

As the website says, this is a working ranch and you are right int he middle of the ranch. The cattle in the corral 30 feet from the bedroom lulled us to sleep on the first night with their gentle lowing . Nicole and her husband are so very nice, personable and conscientious about their farm and animal husbandry; and they are so hard working. The Guesthouse is wonderful and very tastefully and artistically decorated with farm and family memorabilia. It makes for a most comfortable stay in a beautiful setting, but the best part is the hosts friendliness, helpfulness and willingness to share. their home and their story as progressive ranchers/farmers. We could not have asked for more.

Perfect place for our crew of 8 fishermen, Grandma's House was clean, quiet and centrally located relative to the local lakes that we came to fish. Nicole and Casey were wonderful hosts who generously shared their life on the farm with us. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. There is plenty of room indoors and out to sit share our stories. We will definitely stay here the next time we fish in the area. Highly recommended!

You won't find a more impeccable old home on a cattle ranch. This is the original 1930's house that sits in the midst of 1000's of generational family acres. Hosts Casey and Nicole drove over to welcome us (their home is a half mile or so down the road) and invite us over to see newborn calves. Both were very kind, passionate about what they do, super smart, and enthusiastic to talk about the ranch, the industry, and the area. The home sits along the Conconully road, just north of Omak and Okanogan. At night, it was absolutely silent, and temps were in the teens, but inside was toasty and snug. Bedrooms were well-appointed with new mattresses, crisp linens, and no shortage of interesting decor. Try guessing the source of the various pelts! The kitchen was well-stocked with anything you may need for cooking. Keeping with the rest of the house, there was a perfect balance of old aesthetics with modern appliances and conveniences. Large open front room with new, comfortable sofa's and chairs. Great location to access Conconolly State Park, Loup Loup, Sinlahekin, Twisp for your day trips.

We were met by Nicole, who proved to be a gracious and thoughtful host. The property exceeded our expectations, and was more than satisfactory for our five day, five generation get together. As we are all "country people" it was more than refreshing to see the authentic western decor that Nicole provided, rather than some fake setting. Anyone wishing a true country experience could do no better than take advantage of this property.

You know you have a gem when you're able to truly feel comfortable and at home. This was the case at Halfway House. The farmhouse is nicer than it looks in the photos. It is well furnished and lovingly decorated to match its history and surroundings. Not only is the house equipped with modern comforts, but Nicole goes the extra mile to stock the kitchen with coffee, tea, cocoa and pastries. We have never heard of (and much less played) corn hole before. Hopefully, this house will be available during our future trips to this area.

The pictures of the house don't really do it justice. It is so clean! The beds are so soft, the towels felt like they were brand new, the leather couches were amazing. The kitchen was perfect. We ended up going to the grocery store and ate at the table or on the patio listening to the birds and frogs. Nicole was the perfect hostess, there if we had questions and never in the way. We will definitely be going back. The one thing down side was not anything they can fix. We have Verizon cell phones and the phones would not ring at the house. We could call out but we could not receive calls. We did not realize it until we left and all of the voice mails came at once. Not a problem, there was not an emergency and it made it very relaxing but it could have potentially been a problem. That will not stop us from going back though.

The property is unique in that it is an adorable family operated farm with over 500 head of cattle while the house is completely peaceful and tastefully decorated. Don't be fooled by the picture of house, there is plenty of space and an open concept for your big groups to hang out. I remember most, playing corn hole, or bag toss, with my family with the serene and panoramic background of the Cascade foothills. Oh and if you want to get out, downtown Conconully is few minutes up the road and I recommend karaoke Saturday night at the Red Rock Saloon, the locals were beyond friendly. Nicole and family went way beyond expectations taking care of us, and that is the main reason this is the best property in the Okanogan valley!
