Great getaway
Wonderful location near town. Very peaceful. There’s some stairs involved so maybe not ideal for everyone but a great place. My only suggestion is more towels and dish towels would be good to have. Also the air system is quite loud so best to turn it off completely at night but none of these things take away from this beautiful home.

Home Away from Home
We've stayed at this property several times now and it has become very comofortable for us. All the needed amenities are there. The view is breathtaking. It's quiet. It's a short drive to downtown Olympia. We really enjoy our time there. The host is easy to contact, very responsive and very accomodating.

Great girls getaway!
Of course we picked one of the coldest weekends this winter for a girls getaway! The property representative was kind enough to risk icy roads to bring us an extra room heater and blankets to snuggle up and enjoy the weekend. The views are stunning and it was wonderful to bundle up and relax knowing we had everything we needed. 😊

Good stay for a weekend getaway
Overall, the stay at this house was great! The place is clean, the view was beautiful (even if it was raining & overcast all weekend) and the property manager was very responsive. There was a mishap where a repair company contacted me to do a dishwasher repair at the house. First, I did not know the dishwasher needed fixing. Second, we were not planning on being at the house during the window given. And third, I did not like that my phone number was given out to someone I did not know or should be responsible for dealing with on my vacation. All of this to say the property manager was quick to respond to my concerns about this and got the repair rescheduled for when we were not there. I dont think is a common occurence and would not deter anyone from staying here. I'm sure the dishwasher is fine now :) Thanks!

It was a pleasure hosting you, Alexia! I apologize for the misunderstanding regarding the dishwasher. I'd like to clarify, again. The guest that checked out, on the morning of your arrival, added the wrong soap into the washer, causing an overflow of suds & shut down of the dishwasher. I was hoping to get this fixed ASAP, to provide you with a worry-free stay. I reached out to the owner with the news. He called the repair company and set up a maintenance call the next day. The homeowner contacted you directly, identifying himself, as such. (Maybe you misread his communication.) As soon as he realized you were not going to be on site for the repair, the maintenance called off, per your request. We are always trying to provide a relaxing, five star experience for our guests. Part of this is making sure things are working well in our home. And yes, the dishwasher was repaired as soon as you checked out.

Steamboat Home Away From Home
This was our second time staying here. It is very comfortable, has a beautiful view and all the amenities we needed. The owner is very responsive to any issues. After staying in several VRBOs in the area, we have chosen to return to this one! Thanks so much!

Stunning home with unforgettable views
We had the best time staying here, we didn’t want to leave! The home is very tastefully decorated with super comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen with everything you could need for your stay. We absolutely loved the views from the expansive windows in the living area and enjoyed one of the most beautiful sunrises we’ve seen in our lives during our stay. The office area was an added bonus for one of us who had to work remotely. We’d definitely come back if we are back in the area, it was a peaceful secluded haven that we won’t soon forget!

Incredible view
We enjoyed our stay so much that we added an extra day. Wendy was very easy to work with in every way. The water view was exceptional. Closeness to the town and conveniences was on point. The cottage is very quaint and comfortable. We had everything we need to enjoy our stay.

time together
We loved getting together with our family and hanging out in the beautiful living room and on the deck. There was plenty of space for hanging out and playing games and doing puzzles We enjoyed seeing the clam boats working out on the sound and our trips to nearby parks to take walks.

Perfect Getaway
Pictures don't really do this beautiful home justice. From the moment you walk through the door you are surrounded by beautiful water views. The house is well-appointed and spacious. The outdoor areas were amazing. There are two deck levels and grassy areas. There's also be a beautiful covered area outside for dining or just enjoying the view with your coffee. As others noted one of the bedroom doesn't have an actual door (just curtains) and you have to walk through that door to get to the second bathroom and third bedroom but that wasn't a problem for our family. Everything was very clean and check out is straightforward and simple. The house is also minutes from restaurants and grocery stores and downtown Olympia. Wendy was a delight to communicate with-- very prompt and friendly.

My family of four rented this house for two weeks to explore olympic forest and mount Rainer. Centrally located between the two but both were at least two hours away. Plan for lots of driving or do as we did and explore capital city forest and other local parks which are some wonderful locations. As previous posts pointed out the "third" bedroom has no door but it worked out for us. The house was super clean and Wendy was very accessible and helpful. There are a few things that were not mentioned in the other reviews that should be addressed. The house faces east and was extremely hot in the front room and the kitchen (bedrooms/bathrooms were not an issue) in the morning until about 2pm when the sun finally got high enough and the ac could catch up. Shades or high efficiency windows would help. One point we were there in August when it was exceptionally hot however in the winter it's probably a welcome problem. The house is on the water with an incredible expansive view however to my fault I assumed it had dock. The body of water it sits on is tidal with a substantial swing in water levels. At high tide you have to go down 8-10' of stairs to get to the water at low tide you are walking through mud to reach the water. Our favorite spot was the lowest level by the water with the fire pit and chairs Peaceful and quiet. I rated two star on location and neighborhood. Safe area but pulling out of the steep driveway is dangerous. No place to go for a walk too busy and narrow.

Gorgeous house with a lot of space
We enjoyed our stay here! It was in a quiet area right on the water with multi levels of lawn and decks to enjoy. The front part of the house is an office, laundry room and queen sized bedroom with a door separating it from the rest of the house. The living room, dining room and kitchen were all spacious and clean. The only issue to note is the first king sized bedroom is right off the dining area and does not have a door. Sound travels with the wood floors and high ceilings so keep that in mind when booking. The primary king sized bedroom is beyond with a huge bathroom. It worked for our group but could be an issue if you want privacy.

New family beginning
This was our first mixed family vacation. I was really nervous and I wanted everything to be perfect for our family. We got into the house and it took all of our breaths away. The view is amazing and the peace and quiet was priceless. This house brought out two families together and the fun and memories we made. I truly cannot thank you enough. The house was clean, cozy and the amenties were as described. If I hada question. The ownere was prompted and very kind.I will stay here every year at this time, but longer. Truly an amazing beginning for our mixed family vacations.

Just as advertised
We had a great stay at Wendy's property. The house was just as advertised and Wendy was easy to work with before during and after the rental. Be aware of the bedding arrangement...as noted by others, the house has three comfortable sleeping areas, but one seems to have been a pre-existing den or living room, so there is no sold door and you walk through that room to get to the main bedroom and bath. That was not a problem for us, as there were plenty of other space for lounging. Everything was great!

Beautiful Location!
The location was so beautiful, and the home and amenities were very comfortable. The layout is a bit odd, but we enjoyed it. There were a few minor maintenance issues, and the owner addressed them promptly after we left. The view, particularly the sunset over the water on our first night, was truly spectacular.

Beautiful waterfront setting!
The property is wonderful - we spent a lot of time enjoying the water views from the porches and lawn areas, and spent an afternoon in the (chilly but refreshing) water during high tide on a hot day. The house is well appointed, very clean, and comfortable for a group of 3 couples in the common areas. As other comments have mentioned, the master bedroom is only accessible by going through another bedroom, the latter of which is separated by only a curtain from the dining room. Depending on your groups’ comfort level and sleep/wake patterns, it could be problematic. However, if you can make it work, it’s a wonderful rental.

Tranquil spot
The property was perfect our girl's golf outing. Returning to this home after a long day out was a treat. We all love to cook, so the well appointed kitchen suited us well. The living accommodation was perfect for dining and conversation. If only the weather would have cooperated, we would have loved to have spent time on the lovely waterside deck. Our hope is the property is available next year. As soon as we have dates, we'll be booking.

The home was beautiful and clean and in a gorgeous part of Olympia. I was disappointed that the king bedroom is not actually a bedroom. It has absolutely no privacy- not even a bedroom door! This appears to be a living room that was converted to be a bedroom. The home owner has put up a curtain rod with thin curtains separating the room from the dining area. This does not block out sound or light whatsoever. There is also no closet- which would make this a bedroom. I was disappointed as I had confirmed in advance that this was a 3 bdrm and was told yes, with no indication otherwise. The other king bdrm is next t it- which you have to walk through to use the bathroom. Additionally, they advertise kayaks but do not tell you until after booking that they charge extra to use them. I wish the property manager had been more transparent in the post. Beautiful home but we felt deceived and over charged for a 2 bdrm home.

This was a wonderful place to stay! The view was absolutely incredible, the house was clean, and the beds were comfortable! It had everything we needed to make our stay very enjoyable. We did have a little bit of trouble with the front door lock as the code was not working, but I got a hold of the property manager and she helped us with no further issues. We would definitely come here again.

Very Relaxing
After our flight into SeaTac, then the drive over to this property, stepping foot out onto the deck with this amazing view was such a stress reliever. Very clean, easy access, with grocery stores and restaurants close by. Will definitely book again, next time we stay in the Olympia area.
