'We picked this location because it was close to several good hiking locations. It’s a little on the pricier side, but I imagine that’s why. No complaints from my party. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed the neighbor’s dog. It’s right in the highway so one may have an issue with road noise. We were so tired from our hikes, we slept soundly both nights we stayed.'

'Great place to stay in a beautiful location. It was really cool to wake up every day with the house surrounded with cows and elk. Hosts were great and the house was exactly what we were looking for.'

'This is an amazing place, literally 2 min to the Redwoods and 2 minutes to the beach. The house was cute and the neighborhood was quiet. The walking path along the river was nice and had beautiful wild flowers growing along both sides. We ordered a pizza from the local pizza place that was really good. We will definitely come back'

'This was in the middle of the Redwood National and State Forest. We explored so many awesome trails. It is remote, so if you are looking for finer food and beer, you have to be willing to drive 20 minutes north to Crescent City. This was a perfect base camp for us.'

'Cute seaside cottage. I enjoyed watching the seals in the morning and the hot tub after a long day of hiking.The little village down the street had grocery, gas station, cute restaurants and beautiful views. The stay was very peaceful.'

'Overall excellent property, needs a deep clean, but nit bad. Neighborhood is a bit sketchy, but I have definitely seen worse. Central to all kinds of options for sightseeing and stuff to do!'

'If you like to be off the grid, this is a great place to stay. We do this once a year and completely unplug from phones, computers, etc. This place was perfect for exactly that. It's remote and there's nothing better than the sound of a river. We had a total of 4 adults, 3 kids, and our 2 labs. Everyone had a wonderful time. It's a little bit of a walk to the river but once there, it's secluded and water is crystal clear. Thank you, Jim, for allowing us to stay at your place. '
