The view of the room was amazing but the balcony door was nos open either closing properly and the restroom conditions weren’t the best either but overall the full experience pool and beach was cool.

I understood that coffee in rooms were no longer provided. However the staff was very good about getting me a coffee pot. However, the rest was not good...Phone in room didn't work. The layout was terrible. The sofa was in another room and communication was difficult. The breakfast sandwich this am was moldy. The maintenance man even took a pic. As far as I am concerned, the hotel should wave the $25.00 fee because there was no breakfast room and the food was moldy. I hope I don't get sick from it.

Checkin took 2 hours (3:30-5:30) because front desk employee couldn't find a room that was ready. Not just us with problems at the front desk. Breakfast is an overstatement. Just bagels and coffee/orange juice. Only had powdered creamer or hazelnut. No coffee maker in room. Really sparse - should rename as "Stark" hotel.

Pretty good two night stay. Place is pretty clean. The rooms look recently renovated and remodeled. Staff is very nice and efficient. The only negative was only one elevator was working. A nuisance but not a deal breaker. Beach access is really nice too.

There was only one elevator in service, and with so many people it took a long time to get to my room on 5th floor, last night there the only elevator in service, the lights went out while we were in there with other people and we were in the dark. It stayed like that the next day. The food was suppose to be full breakfast but only had bagels. No lights outside by pool or back area.

The water takes about 20 minutes to start getting warm for a shower around 5:30 am and if you want hot water for the sink you better turn on the shower first or the sink will never get hot. They only have 2 elevators and only one works which is a hot mess since its becoming beach season. Since they have changed owners thete is no microwave in the rooms and went to serving only bagels for breakfast. Other than that we liked it enough for four straight weekends.

The day staff was very friendly. Would be nice to offer late check out. On arrival/check in noted the pool was closed, a lot of yellow warning tape; this should be disclosed prior to booking. For a quick overnight stay not bad at all and access to the beach made up for the closed pool.

During your stay we did have to shut down our pool for health and safety reasons, and we apologize for that as well, but your safety and health is our top priority. Our pool is fully functional and open when you would like to return to the Spark by Hilton Ormond Beach Oceanfront.

Was very disappointed that there was no microwaves in the room. We had no water for the first couple hours and no hot water at all the first day. Breakfast was only bagels and yogurt. We do hope that once all the renovations are completed that you will return to our newly renovated property.

The property is under remodeling and not convenient. No hot breakfast. No hot water for a while. No wifi for a few days. Then called us while out of hotel that needed to move us to another floor while paint. We had to give permission to go through our stuff to move to another room since we couldnt be there in 15 mins. Heavy machinery making noises all day. Was not a pleasant stay for 2 weeks. Will not be back. We stayed at this location when was Best Western for 10 years. After all that happened in first week, Expedia wouldnt switch us to another hotel unless we paid again or reimburse money for what we went through. One night... one night they reimbursed for over 2 weeks. Both places made our trip horrible. And again, we will not use or stay at either.

Yes, this place is undergoing renovations. But, I would definitely stay here again. Our room was totally fine and we actually spent way more time in there than anticipated after getting sick and having a completely rained out weekend. It was comfy and cozy and the balcony had amazing views. The bathroom was still being worked on a bit and the water took a while to get hot- and there wasn’t a trash can in the room- but overall it was a totally fine stay. Don’t read all the totally negative reviews. This place is trying and they’re almost about to switch over to be an Hilton. And the staff were all really nice.

The hotel changed their name to Sparks so we had to hunt for the hotel. Then we were told that they were selling the hotel and it would become a Hilton hotel. So you might want to keep the cliupdated on the name change of the hotels. The bathroom wasn't completely cleaned. The sliding glass door was filthy.

We booked not knowing The Mariner is being extensively renovated which for us meant a lot of disappointment! I chose the hotel in part expecting a breakfast including hot food but all they were having was a carb heavy bagged breakfast I couldn't eat. There was quite a bit of renovation noise everyday (some deafening in the lobby) and into the evening. The elevator was never vacuumed which because of renovation needed it badly. The parking area wasn't lit one evening we went out. There was no night visible hotel sign so we had trouble finding the hotel. Our room was nice in itself. The bed was comfortable and the view was great. On the downside our room was missing cups and ice bucket (the ice machine on our floor wasn't working anyway) and there were no balcony chairs even though other rooms had some. There was no "do not disturb" sign (our neighbor taped a handwritten one on their door). Housekeeping gave us new towels everyday but didn't empty the trash. They might have done other things but none were evident. The desk clerk the night we arrived was helpful but she said she was upgrading or from to one with a view, but I'd booked a room with a view already. The bottom line is that I felt overcharged for what we got and didn't get.

This hotel is under renovation from the hurricane last year. this was NOT noted on the listing prior to booking. There is ONE elevator that is working and every ride is a elevator full of workers with large furniture or mattresses trying to put the hotel back together. The water was turned off for 5 hours without letting the guests know, this caused me to change an entire day. the room was clean and comfortable. the staff were kind and accommodating and apologetic for the hassle of water and elevator. there were no amenities in the room. no microwave, no coffee maker. You were told there was a breakfast included and available but the breakfast area was closed for 4 of the 7 days i stayed there. there was NO COFFEE a few mornings in a row.

Room was big but not many amenities nor "perks" such as paper/pen, cups for drinking, no cold water to sink, elevator was very slow or not at all, at times. Garage parking was a plus but had to drive around construction materials to enter. When rehad is completed, this may be a nice property. Had to empty our own trash can. No info regarding WiFi, restaurants, etc.

No hot water. Could not take a shower this am. Repairing property. Might stay again if given a discount due to no hot water for shower.
