Chalet CHEVREUIL is in the Oz en oisans ski resort (station de l'Olmet on a map) which is part of the Oz and Alpe d'Huez (FR) ski area, 250 km of ski slopes between 2300 and 2800m altitude up to 3300m, managed by Semdoz (owner with the town hall) in Oz en oisans. Gondolas are 120m from the chalet along a path (access at snowplough level, access not groomed). Ski school 300m along this path through the forest or 700m along the road. Departure and arrival at the chalet possible on skis.
The ESF offers group lessons depending on your arrival dates.
The distances are short, there are no buses or cars in the resort centre for greater safety and less pollution.

Each room has its own bathroom and toilet and can be locked with its own key. No shared space with other holidaymakers (even the ski room). The original village and town hall are 2.2km away.

In the resort: restaurants, bars, ski hire, food shops (bakery, butcher's, cheese and delicatessen), launderette, ESF and nursery. Toboggan runs. Entertainment during the holidays. Indoor swimming pool in a centrally-located residence.
The resort of Oz en Oisans is served by direct bus from Grenoble railway station.
At the foot of the slopes, the CHEVREUIL chalet is very spacious: 5 bedrooms with individual bathrooms and toilets. 5 bedrooms with 2 single beds side by side and a bunk bed in two of these bedrooms (independent space that can be closed by a door),
2 rooms have a balcony. Balcony and terrace off the living room facing south-west.

The terrace is accessed via the living room (large bay window). The kitchen opens onto the living room via a bar (American-style kitchen).

The chalet can be rented with or without a Jacuzzi and Sauna. If desired, the Jacuzzi and Sauna can be paid for at Semdoz.
The price given by Abritel: the price of the chalet with 14 beds EXCLUDING the use of the Jacuzzi and Sauna, EXCLUDING extra beds, EXCLUDING cleaning and EXCLUDING wood for the fireplace. Cloth bed linen is included (up to 14).
You pay the Abritel tourist tax per person over 18 and per day.
For 18 people: 4 extra beds are needed: 1 room with 5 beds (one of the rooms 2 single beds and 1 bunk bed=5 beds), 1 room with 3 beds (3 single beds) and 1 room with 2 extra beds (one of the rooms 2 single beds and 1 bunk bed which becomes 6 beds);
It is necessary to check with the owner before booking whether the number of extra beds (up to 4) is available for your group.

Chalet CHEVREUIL is located 120 metres from the departure of the cable car to the top of the resort.2 cable car departures from Oz en Oisans to reach the slopes and the Alpe d'Huez ski area. Descend to the centre of the resort or to the chalet via the slopes.A blue run leads back to the chalet.
The gondola departure is downhill from the chalet door.
The ski area (Oz-Vaujany and Alpe d'Huez) is equipped with artificial snow cannons in case of need.

Summer leisure activities :
The tourist office (OT) offers a Leisure Pass including activities such as entry to the outdoor swimming pool in allemond, scooter or other workshops.
As well as hiking, there is a tennis court next to the chalets.
In the village hall: badminton and table tennis.
Outside, there is an accrobranche park and mini-golf.
2 Télécabines depart from Oz en Oisans to take you effortlessly up to the high plateaux between 1750 and 2800m and enjoy an exceptional panorama (Pic Blanc 3300) over the Belledonnes and the Grandes Rousses as well as numerous lakes.
Whether you're a pedestrian or a mountain biker, these facilities provide access to a range of specialised trails reserved for your activity. You can ride your mountain bike down to the resort on the pistes (red to black level) or hike at all levels.
At altitude, there are several lakes and a number of mountain bike trails, including the downhill track for the French Cup and French Championships, both cross-country and DH, cycling with the annual Marmotte race at the end of June, which attracts almost 7,000 participants, and the Alpe d'Huez climb during the Tour de France, or for those who like the challenge of vertical drops.
Examples of hikes (almost 900 km of signposted routes):
Le Pré de la Pierre: a short forest walk in the form of a loop taking less than an hour and a half.
Les hameaux d'Oz en Oisans: forest hike forming a loop to discover the local heritage.
Lac Besson: a challenging loop hike to discover the Lac Noir, Lac Besson, Lac Faucille and Lac Carrelet (1h to 1h30). Take the Poutran cable car for a shorter, easier hike.
Discover: the ferruginous spring, the mountain hamlets, the waterfalls, canyoning in the Oz stream (with guides), the leisure park in the forest with over 600 m of zip lines and numerous courses, various activities on the Grandes Rousses mountain range and a programme of themed events organised by the Tourist Office from Monday to Friday.
Free shuttles to the village or the Lac du Verney (windsurfing, paddle or pedalo) or to eat in typical local restaurants, La Cure (in the village), l'Enversin (L'Enversin d'Oz), la guinguette (lake). Outdoor swimming pool in the village of Allemond, a 20-minute drive away. This village is next to the Allemond dam.
If the weather is bad or you just want to relax, you can spend a pleasant moment in the resort's swimming pool (whirlpool baths, swan necks, waterbeds, hammam and sauna). There's also badminton equipment on loan, rock-climbing on your own or supervised by the guides at the climbing gym, tennis, mini-golf and a swing for the little ones to enjoy.Last but not least, the nursery (for children aged from 6 months to 6 years. The latest information is available from the tourist office.

Ski lifts, shops and restaurants in the resort are closed.Shops (including a bakery) and restaurants are 15 minutes away in Allemond.
Semdoz and tourist office are open in Oz en Oisans except on public holidays, Saturdays and Sundays. For a stay including 1 May, 8 May, Ascension Day or Pentecost: if arrival is on a non-holiday weekday: our reception is open (otherwise independent entry by key box).
