Great serene location and top notch accommodation
Spotles and modern accommodation. Also the management is very friendly and helpful. Location is also great when you want to continue to make use of the connecting boats in the harbor. To our surprise the Manager arraigned a free taxi to take us to the harbor. It as a short distance, but nevertheless much appreciated. Do not hesitate to book Moonlight cottage. Would definitely stay again!

This place is really quaint and set in a beautiful area. The waterfall is nearby (if you want to walk 20 mins) and a humane elephant sanctuary is close by as well. We went to both and the hotel was convenient for this. The owners are quite nice, they live on the compound and have two cats and children. They were accommodating and humble.

Lovely accommodation. Basic but with all we needed inc aircon, tv, toiletries, insect screens. friendly owner, great breakfast (which you buy on top of room cost) and lovely location. i hope to return one day

Wonderful place
Moonlight is tucked away in a neighborhood which definitely yielded a quite nights stay. The property and room was immaculate. If you don’t have a car or motorbike, there is not much for eating options. Closest restaurant is 10 miles walk, but probably the best food that I have had in Phuket. For me, the only downside to Moonlight was the bed. I fully understand that mattress firmness is highly subjective, but the mattress in my room was as firm as tile floor. Owner is extremely nice. Woke up to a small box of sticky rice treats and she even drove me to the pier.

A bit of nature!
Very comfortable and breakfast was a wonderful treat! We loved the pastry and sticky rice cooked in a leaf. A beautiful spot with lots of birds in the morning especially. The only downside is that it is a bit isolated. A vehicle would be useful although we walked to an excellent restaurant. Was 2 km and a few hills but good exercise so we didn't mind. Although it wouldn't be a walk for everyone.Saw interesting things along the way such as a woman taking her cows home for the night.

Lovely place to stay whilst passing through to one of the islands off Phuket. Room was clean and tidy all mod cons included, great value for money. We were provided with fresh fruit the next morning which set us up for our trip. Owner took us to the pier the next day and was so helpful thank you.

Excellent location, very quiet, still close to the main road. The room and the bathroom have all you might need. We had a car, but the owner can arrange pick up and transport. The place is close to Gibbon Rehabilitation Project (1.5 km), THE ONLY Elephant SANCTUARY in Phuket (not a tourist attraction but a place which actually cares about a few old and injured elephants) and Ao Po Pier. We were welcomed in 10 mins from the time of the booking and surprised with tasty breakfast in the morning.

Great rooms with plenty of space. Very clean and well run. You are in a rural location so will need to hire a motorcycle or taxi to get around though. Beautiful place and the staff are very helpful.

Only stayed for one night but could not have been made more welcome on our first night in Thailand. The room and amenities were spot on - very impressive even by Western Standards. The owner kindly arranged onward transfer for the following morning (taxi to the pier) and greeted us in the morning with a delicious Thai breakfast to send us on our way. The pot noddles and snacks (small charge) in the room made sure we were fulfilled for dinner. The hotel is down a side street and at night it’s very dark so not really an option walking to the local stores for food. Would definitely stay again, and we stayed before onward transfer to Santhiya Koh Yao Yai resort.

Perfect spot
We arrived late in the evening and the owner was very accommodating letting us have a late check in. He drove us to the ferry the next morning too. Friendly & smiley. Rooms were really big, v clean & had everything we needed. Beautiful, quiet location. The beds were a bit hard & uncomfortable and the restaurant for breakfast was closed. Its worth checking on that before you go. I would highly recommend & we could easily have stayed for longer

All I wanted
I have stayed here once before and I loved it just as much this time around. Close to the gibbon rehab center as well as two ethical elephant sanctuaries, also close to Bangrong Pier from where you can take a boat to the Koh Yao islands. A 7-11 and supermarket about a 10 min walk away. Quiet area away from the hustle and bustle. Free bicycles to explore the area and the option to hire a scooter. Airport transfers can be arranged by the property. Restaurant next door serves yummy breakfast. Dinner can be ordered to be delivered to your room. The room is spacious and clean. Good WiFi. Snacks (at a fee) and free water available in the room. The owners are lovely and helpful. I felt at home and would certainly stay again. Thank you.

We arrived at the Moonlight Cottage at 02:00 A.M. after a 33 hour trip to get to Phuket. We were met by the owner who showed us our rooms, which were spacious, clean and very well maintained. The area is very quiet, but there really wasn’t much to do or see. We only stayed for two nights and the restaurant was closed for one of the days, which was a shame, because the breakfast we were served was absolutely wonderful. If you are looking for quiet isolation, this place is amazing.

The stay is perfect if you just need a quiet getaway with your spouse. We stayed as we needed to get to the harbour nearby, but what a surprisingly nice find! The place is beautiful & spotlessly clean. Only downside is that it's not walking distance from local restaurants when you need dinner, but the recept can easily arrange for a shuttle to bring you out. Will surely visit again if heading to anywhere around that area.

A small "boutique" property with an extremely friendly owner/manager. The staff was exceptionally kind, accommodating and more than happy to share local knowledge about places to visit and interesting sites. I only wish we could have stayed longer. As an aside, I loved how easily the huge sliding doors slid open and closed.

Wonderful staff
The staff were amazing and so helpful. The only thing I would add is a pool. I would say to anyone thinking of staying here that it is very rural.

Sehr ruhig gelegenes Hotel mit spitze Personal
Wir kamen spätabends an, würden aber super nett begrüßt. Alles wurde uns ausführlich erklärt - auch wie wir am nächsten Morgen weiterfahren können und wie viel wir für welches Verkehrsmittel zahlen sollten/müssen. Es gibt auch ein sehr idyllisch gelegenes kleines Restaurant neben dem Hotel. Haben dort gut gefrühstückt und wurden dann zum Bang Rong Pier gebracht. Kann das Hotel wärmstens empfehlen! Nur die harten Matratzen wären auf Dauer nichts. Aber nach dem langen Flug waren wir nur froh die Beine hoch zu legen.

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und komfortabel eingerichtet. Der Gastgeber und auch alle Angestellten waren sehr freundlich. Der Inhaber hat uns mit seinem privaten PKW zu einem nahegelegenen Wasserfall gefahren und auch zum Bang Rong Pier.

Moonlight Cottage is an amazing and affordable place to stay. The room is spacious and very clean, the staff is so kind and helpful, and the restaurant has excellent food. It’s extremely close to the pier to the islands, so it’s convenient. Wish we had stayed longer.

Près de l’embarcadère et îlot de tranquillité
Super séjour avanr de prendre le bateau vers Koh Yao Yai ou Koh Yao Noi. L’endroit est à 2pas et le proprio vous y amène gratuitement. Il ya 4 bungalows situés en pleine campagne, et un resto à 50m à côté d’un petit étang avec des nénuphars. Ils préparent les plats avec les légumes bio qu’ils cultivent dans leur jardin. Ils sont zu service de leurs clients avec une grande gentillesse.
