Some of the rooms are located in-house, which makes them a bit stuffy due to lack of ventilation, but this is minor. Right in the hart of Old Quito at 5 minutes walk from historic square with cathedral, museums, presidential palace, and also the National Basilica. '

The room was meticulously clean, the building is beautiful, but the best part was Mario and Blanca who made us feel like family the moment we walked through the door. 'We really enjoyed our stay. We had the Amazon (luxury) room and it was great. Loved the bed ! Firm and really comfortable! Soaker tub and complimentary wine was also nice. Freddy in the restaurant and all staff were great. We walked to centre of old town from the hotel within 10-15. We felt safe in and around old town Quito. The hotel itself was very clean and well-maintained, which made the experience even more comfortable. 'Great location-just 1 block north of Plaza Grande (as hotels.com says but contrary to what Google maps say as of today: and you'll need to tell cabs/ubers/...). However, there were a couple of issues during our stay. The building uses a solar water heating system instead of gas, and unfortunately there was no hot water for one full day.
