Luxe land eigentijds met 4 slaapkamers (een semi-privé) met queen size bedden en 3 volledige baden. De woonkamer en de slaapkamer op de begane grond hebben ook grote slaapbanken. Thuis op 15 ongerepte, zeer privé beboste hectare met pittoreske seizoensgebonden stroom. Zonnige, open plattegrond met hoogwaardige apparatuur en voorzieningen, ruime kasten en opslag inclusief garage voor ski's. snowboards, fietsen. Dicht bij skiën (Hunter 15 min, Windham 25 min), wandelen en zwemmen in North South Lake. Om te dineren, antiquing en live-entertainment, Woodstock, Saugerties, Catskill en Hudson zijn ongeveer 15-20 minuten rijden.
HOOFDVERDIEPING: Grote kamer met torenhoog kathedraalplafond, zichtbare houten balken, houtkachel (niet voor gebruik). Open keuken met gasfornuis, granieten aanrecht en eiland, RVS inbouwapparatuur. Open eetkamerstoelen voor 10-12 +. Slaapkamers op dit niveau 2 slaapkamers (Queen size bedden) delen een complete badkamer met ligbad. Lichte, open designkeuken / woonkamer / eetkamer zorgen samen voor een geweldige familie tijd. Grote afgesloten veranda wordt gescreend en kijkt uit over dek naar tuin, beek en bossen.
BOVENSTE VERDIEPING: Slapen op dit niveau: enorme privéslaapkamer (Queen size bed) met volledige marmeren badkamer (luxe marmeren / stenen douche). Privébalkon met balkon met uitzicht op tuin, beekje en bos.
LAGER VERDIEPING: Grote mooi afgewerkte twee ruimte met een queen size bed in een gebied en een grote slaapbank en een liggende de andere voegt flexibiliteit van slaapplaatsen voor 5 meer mensen. This was a wonderful place to stay for the long Thanksgiving weekend. It was the first we’d gathered the two sides of the family together in a long while, and the house was both big enough to never feel like we were on top of each other and cozy enough that we spent plenty of time together enjoying each other’s company as we all hoped we would. Extra thanks to Ellen who greeted us upon our arrival and made sure she was available should anything went amiss, which never did thanks to the attention the place clearly receives.

We had a 100% positive experience in this huge, beautiful, clean, comfortable house!! We were a family in town for a Catskills wedding. We had 6 senior adults and 4 not so senior adults all sharing this space and it worked out perfectly! Always a bathroom available with 3 to choose from. The rooms are on all 3 floors so you could get alone time if needed. And plenty of group gathering space too! The grounds are all wooded and we saw a blue heron, a piliated woodpecker, many deer and lots of squirrels and other birds. Really a great retreat and home base. Cannot recommend it more highly!! Thank you so much!!!!

Our three families (Grandparents + Cousins) spent 4 nights at the "holiday house" and it was exactly what we needed! Evenings around the firepit, mornings playing games in the large living room, watching snow fall through the wall of windows and all eating together around the big dining room table. Our dog loved being in the woods near a small creek as well! Far enough from neighbors but close to many different activities in the area!

We really loved this house in the woods. The main room was fantastic for people milling about in different groups. When it was cool out, all the windows open to really bring in the outdoors, though luckily with screens because the mosquitos had mustered a fairly large army besieging the house. When it got hotter out, the a/c worked great. Ellen was very response and had a wealth of information about the area. Overall, this is an excellent find and a well cared-for place for a decent-sized group

Loved this retreat-like setting in the woods. The house was spacious and comfortable for our group of six. The screened in porch was great for sitting and enjoying the sound of the stream. Easy access to routes to places we wanted to explore. Our host was welcoming and helpful.

We did a family trip here and the house was just incredible. It was immaculately clean, spacious, and comfortable. We were 9 adults and had plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was large and had everything we needed, the dining table was beautiful for family dinners, and the bedrooms were all very comfortable. The pull-out was a little less comfortable and ended up sleeping on the living room couch, which was very comfortable. And the best part was the location. We didn't expect the house to be as remote as it was, but it was just what we needed. Nestled in the woods away from it all, we were all immensely relaxed. We spent a lot of our time on the screened in porch listening to the creek flowing or the afternoon thunderstorms rolling in, and it was so pleasant. We also had morning coffee on the porch when it was still cool out. That was our favorite room. The only downside to all this nature was the bugs. Be sure it put on lots of bug spray and tick repellant when you venture out. Overall this was a 5 star accommodation and we thank the hosts for such a wonderful stay.

If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place to be! House is set back so you don’t see or hear any neighbors. Stream in backyard provides a lot of tranquility. House good size for family of 5 - kids range in age from 17. - 29. Close to hiking with great scenery! Kayaking and paddle boarding in close proximity as well. Woodstock is only 20 minutes away - cute town to walk around. Restaurants, groceries , wineries/cidery nearby as well. Was a great location to get off the grid for a bit!

We rented the property for a small family gathering. The property was as described and fit our needs perfectly. We chose to not leave and used local trails for relaxing walks. Everything we needed was in the house. It was a great get away.

My family and I truly enjoyed being away for a long weekend with our children. From the surrounding beautiful woods, stream, hiking trails (with beautiful waterfalls) and being so close to Woodstock, we truly enjoyed our stay. The house was supplied with everything you would possible need. The space, atmosphere, and a lot of natural light helped us all wind down and relax. The manager who met us on the day we arrived was kind and helpful. Overall, a great, fantastic stay. ~ The P Family

This house was perfect for a weekend ski trip! Great common areas, lots of parking and had the essentials for cooking. If you are looking to ski, make sure to book your lift tickets asap. Hunter and Windham were sold out when we tried to purchase them so we went to Bellayre which was about an hour away but also a great ski mountain! Just an FYI, there is barely any cell service and the Wifi was down for our second night. The property manager was super responsive and nice, she stopped by to try to fix it but wasn’t able to. It wasn’t a huge deal for our group since we were leaving the next morning.

I can’t say enough good things about our visit to Palenville. Ellen is a superb host and was available anytime we needed her! The house was very clean and the property was exactly what my family was looking for for the weekend. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking to get away for a nice weekend. We would definitely go back!!

The house is exactly as described. There was plenty of room for our group of 8, the large dining table was perfect for our gathering! The creek in the back is beautiful to watch, and the fire pit was definitely an extra bonus! The kitchen was very functional for easily preparing meals for the group. The very long driveway was perfect for walking the dogs. One minor point, there is a woodstove in the living area (visible in the pictures) which is not useable. The list of amenities did not include the stove, but by looking at the photos, it was not clear to us until we arrived that it was not functional.

Great house with lots of room for 8 friends to stay for Labor Day weekend! Good location, with lots of hiking nearby, restaurants. Kitchen has all utensils you could need, functional fire pit, lots of outdoor seating. Highly recommend!

House is exactly as pictured. Very spacious. There were 9 of us (7 adults and 2 kids) for a ski weekend to celebrate my husband's birthday. We found the kitchen to be very well stocked as we cooked a lot. Ellen was very helpful and responsive even at midnight when we had a minor issue. Would definitely rent again! The brook out back is lovely to listen to and look out on.

We had a large family gathering here for a weekend and this house was perfect. Plenty of room for the dinner, lots of space, kitchen was well stocked. Ellen was so helpful, she was very accommodating. We will use this house again. Everyone was so comfortable.

We loved our stay in Palenville. The responsiveness of Ellen to any and every question was incredible! The house has nice bedrooms and bathrooms, plenty of towels, and a kitchen that's great for cooking. Only drawback was the bugs outside! Did a bunch of hikes and went to Hudson one night for great dinner and good shopping. Would highly recommend this house
