The Spotted Grouper - Old Florida Beach Bungalow

De Spotted Grouper is een heerlijke strandbungalow in Old Florida, omringd door verwrongen Sand Live Oaks. Wij zijn gevestigd op Bald Point naast Alligator Point, FL in een kleine, rustige strandbuurt langs de vergeten kust, omgeven door Bald Point State Park.
Het huis ligt op 100 meter van de Golf - om er te komen loop je gewoon langs Grouper Street naar het water - er zijn geen straten over te steken. Het is een zeer afgelegen natuurlijk strand met veel zeeleven waar u kunt genieten van alle schoonheid van de natuur. Je hebt uitzicht op de Golf vanuit de woonkamer, evenals de veranda en de patio en het geluid van de oceaan kan je in slaap sussen. De visvangst is fantastisch, net als de lokale restaurants en vismarkten. Het huis ligt op de begane grond, zodat u geen trappen hoeft te beklimmen, wat het erg handig maakt voor het meenemen van koffers en boodschappen in huis. Het is geschikt voor 4 personen met 1 queensize bed en 1 tweepersoonsbed.
We zijn 45 mijl ten zuiden van Tallahassee, 340 mijl ten zuiden van Atlanta. De Spotted Grouper is een perfect uitje als je van een rustige omgeving houdt die GEEN overvol strand heeft met een overvloed aan flora en fauna die doet denken aan "Old Florida".

Grandbabies beach trips.

First trip for the grandbabies. The beach was close and no one else was on the beach except us. The house was cozy and had everything we needed. Owner responded quickly with any questions i had. Very nice stay.

Everything and more!

The Spotted Grouper provided the perfect get away! The bungalow is spotlessly clean, has everthing one could possibly need to feel at home, well positioned in a quiet friendly neighborhood, and located in and near a nature preserve area. We highly recommend staying here. We explored the natural areas, including the gulf in a 16' canoe. So much wildlife to enjoy. Fishing, bird watching, cooking and enjoying each others company filled our days. Never turned on the tv or radio. A total escape from the rat race! We enjoyed the outdoor shower, grilled on the Weber, and relaxed in the screen porch. We hope to return next year. Sheree, the owner, was wonderful to work with. She was so kind and helpful. She even gave us fishing bait suggestions.

Forgotten Coast Beauty

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at the Spotted Grouper. It never disappoints . We absolutely adore this place every time we visit. If you are looking for peace, tranquility , and the beauty of nature surrounding you then book this place. This truly is a hidden treasure on the forgotten coast. You are almost always the only ones on the beach. The wildlife is stunning. Our favorites are around 7PM when the sandbars start to form & you can walkout & collect all sorts of treasures. To Do: 1) Watch sunrise 2) Relax 3) Rest 4) Watch sunset 5) Repeat 1-4 daily Sheree is amazing to work with. Thank you for sharing your treasure with us! We will definitely be back again.

The whole process with Sheree was easy! The bungalo was cozy, a great place to relax. Good fising on the adjacent beach. It was quiet, and perfectly secluded for us. We will definately rent the bungalo again.

Quiet, Peaceful, Relaxing

The Spotted Grouper was exactly what my wife and I needed, a quiet, peaceful respite from our stressful jobs and hectic lives in a large urban area. The cottage is unassuming, but perfect for a kicked-back beach getaway. It had everything we needed, and the screened-in porch with a vintage glider is icing on the cake. Two large restaurants in Panacea - Angelo’s and The Trident - just a short drive from the cottage - are superb, definitely worth checking out. Just down the road is Bald Point State Park, with a beautiful white sand beach we had all to ourselves and hiking trails, where we spent a full morning exploring. We’ve vacationed in the Florida Panhandle many times, but we agreed that the week we spent at the Spotted Grouper was our best vacation yet. Highly recommended.

Another Great Stay!

My husband and I had another great stay at the Spotted Grouper. Sharee is an awesome host and so easy to work with. Our only "complaint" was that our stay was too short :) We wished we would have had the time to stay longer. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing get away, this is the place!

Comfortable nest

First of all I want to say how accommodating and sweet that Sheree is! She certainly made us feel comfortable staying there. The place was exactly as I saw it online and very close to the beach. I know they're probably a nuisance but I was very excited that I got to see a bear in our driveway! The house was very comfortable and I did not want to leave! It had everything we needed for our stay! It's a very quiet neighborhood and the neighbors were also very sweet. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who's looking for a nice quiet getaway!
