Our stay at the property was overall nice and the location worked well for our trip. We enjoyed our time there.However, after our departure, the host sent photos of various items — upholstered chairs, tile flooring, a wood table, and a wood chair. The tile and wood table showed what looked like a tiny piece of dried strawberry, the wood chair was said to be broken because a screw had fallen out, and the 2 upholstered chairs had light yellow spots that almost looked to be shadows, with one also having small red dots. While we were there, the microwave door over the oven would not close and I let him know immediately. The host said he would not charge me for that or for the wood chair screw since it was an easy fix. I was completely surprised by these claims. I couldn't imagine that he could possibly charge me for the wood chair or the microwave handle that simply wouldn't close. We had covered all of the upholstery with blankets since we have children, and we had been extremely careful during our stay. I do not believe we stained the white chairs, but even if we had, I was surprised to be told the guest would need to pay for cleaning or replacement of both. Vrbo informed me that to dispute this, I would have needed photos of the furniture before leaving, which I hadn’t thought to take because I never expected there would be an issue.While I am paying for the charges, this experience left me very disappointed, and I personally would not stay here again.
