Bay Front Home W / Private Bch in historische wijk. Familie / diervriendelijk

Dit is niet alleen een huis te huur, het is een huis met familieherinneringen en lokale geschiedenis overal weergegeven. Dit huis werd gebouwd door mijn vader in de jaren 1950. We zijn net klaar met een complete renovatie en het voelt als een toevluchtsoord.

Het heeft een bijgevoegde twee carport. Twee in- / uitgangspunten: carportdeur & deur aan de Bayside. De carportdeur komt uit in een volledige keuken met wasruimte. Het heeft grote apparaten met voorlader wasmachine / droger en het is volledig gevuld met de basisbehoeften en benodigdheden die nodig zijn voor een aangenaam verblijf. De keuken komt uit in de woonkamer met games, tv, dvd-speler, draadloze luidspreker en open haard. Via de woonkamer kom je bij de baai en de eetkamer met grote ramen om te genieten van het prachtige uitzicht op de baai, de haven en de jachthaven. De hal naast de LR leidt naar de slaapkamers en badkamers. Eerst kom je naar de kamer met twee eenpersoonsbedden die is uitgerust met een tv en uitzicht op de baai. Het volgende is de grote slaapkamer met uitzicht op de baai. Tegenover deze kamers is het grote bad met bad en douche. Verderop in de hal bevindt zich de hoofdslaapkamer met een kingsize bed, een eigen badkamer, een leeshoek en ook met uitzicht op de baai.

Nu voor de buitenkant. Net buiten de zijdeur van de baai is een buitendouche en omheind in de zijtuin. Direct ernaast is een ontspannend stenen terras met een houtgestookte vuurpot, tafel en stoelen en een prachtig uitzicht op de baai. Ook aan de baai kant van het huis is een 16'X32 'boom schaduwrijk terras met stoelen, picknicktafel en banken voor u om te ontspannen en te genieten van het uitzicht en de prachtige baai bries. Vier kajaks worden naast het dek opgeslagen en zijn beschikbaar voor uw gebruik. Vanaf het dek en alle zijramen van de baai ziet u de enorme voortuin die leidt naar uw privébaai aan het strand, compleet met strandstoelen, bankschommel en vuurplaats. Neem een kijkje op het tabblad met foto's om een voorproefje te krijgen van wat je op het strand en / deck zou kunnen zien.

Het huis is gevuld met badhanddoeken / -doeken, zeep, wasmiddelen, schoonmaakmiddelen, haardrogers strijkijzer en strijkplank, dvd's en een speciale 'vergeet me niet'-mand met bijna alles wat u misschien bent vergeten. U bent ook van harte welkom om te genieten van de 'put-n-take'-bibliotheek bij de ingang van de hal.

This home was amazing! Very accommodating! Everything we needed was there! Probably the cleanest I've been in! The towels smelled so good and soft! The beds were so comfortable I didn't want to get up!This was our fur baby's first beach trip and she loved it! This home has a lot of history! If you are a wildlife lover this is a perfect home for you! Ellen & Robbie are super friendly and helpful! It's a great neighborhood!

Beautiful views

The house was thoughtfully stocked with about everything one could imagine -- and more besides. From spices to birding books to eco friendly toilet paper, the owners had thought of it all. The views were outstanding and it was wonderful to be able to take coffee by the bay, or enjoy a fire pit (with wood kindly provided).The house itself is as advertised: an unpretentious family home, preserved in time, with vintage furnishings & family photos. The owners live beside the cottage and are available for assistance. There were small signs/notes on several pieces of furniture, couches, beds, chairs (do not put shoes or pets on furniture). While we completely understood the sentiment, all those signs were a little off putting. The house is about 2 lots away from a sewage transfer/ mini sub-station point (forget the exact term); on the beach, it did *occasionally* smell and it could be noisy for short periods. This didn't impinge on our enjoyment of the waterfront, since it was occasional. The neighborhood's pleasant and quiet, convenient for a nice walk and not far from the restaurants of St Andrews. Highly recommend Luna Muna for breakfast & Uncle Ernie's for above average seafood fare. Final note: we tried the nearest grocery -- Outlet Grocery -- and would recommend driving further afield if you like a wide selection (like fancy butter or organic veg). All in all, we had a relaxing, quiet weekend in a well stocked home with beautiful views and access to the bay.

Another perfect February

This was our 2nd stay! The property owners go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. Very pet-friendly with a separate fenced area on the side of the house that’s shaded and has a shower station! Beautiful views each day… all day…. of St Andrews Bay. You hear the gulls, see tugs and barges go by, listen to the fighter jets doing their practice runs from Tyndall Air Force base. Lots of friendly neighbors. Oaks by the Bay Park has a farmers market ea wkend. Frank Brown Park as well as Conservation Park have awesome walking paths. We totally enjoyed our monthly stay! Thx!!!

Perfection

Clean, comfortable, and well stocked

We had such a great time at this house on the bay! It was sparkling clean, cozy and comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed for a weekend. My daughter and I came over from Tallahassee for the weekend to watch the Christmas boat parade on St Andrew’s Bay and it was amazing! The home is in a very quiet neighborhood but an easy walk to restaurants and food trucks. It has a great porch outside and a sandy beach on the bay where you can watch the sunset. We went shopping at Pier Park which is about 7 miles away. There are so many shops and restaurants very close. It is near the beaches but away from all of the the busyness. I can’t wait to return to this wonderful property!

October at the beach

The house was old Florida, which I love. The yard had lovely flowering plants that attracted all manner of birds and butterflies. We had some strong winds and a squirrel fell to the ground and was injured. Ellen and Robbie consulted a vet and attempted to save the little guy. The beach was quiet, peaceful and clean. The water was shallow which was great for throwing a ball out into the water. The restaurant in the area were great. Loved the place. The only thing that we would have enjoyed is a pier.

Better than described!

A wonderful, peaceful getaway with beautiful views of St. Andrews Bay. The owners are thoughtful with their rental home by providing every little detail you would need for a relaxing stay. This extends to your pet(s) too! Items like water bowls, toys, leashes, tags, dog towels and blankets plus a well-kept outdoor shower & wash area for your furry friends. For the humans ... Comfortable beds with super clean bedding and clean home with a fresh smell I loved. Lots of interesting books and photos about the St. Andrews area. Comfy couch and chairs. Large dining room with beautiful view of bay. By the water there is a fire pit area with sturdy large chairs AND they provide chopped wood along with a cart to transport to beach. I could go on-and-on about the nice amenities and great location. Make sure to get fresh seafood at Buddy Gandy's Seafood close by. My husband and I have stayed at houses and cabins all over the place and this one by far was one of the cleanest, well-kept we've stayed at. All 'pros', maybe the only 'con' would be not enough quality cookware (fry pans are worn) and no sharp knives in kitchen but that's me ... I'm a gal that likes to cook. Believe me, there are a LOT of great restaurants around to not have to cook. Oh, and my husband mentioned a 'con' for the fishing people ... the bay is shallow there. Bring your water shoes to walk out for deeper fishing. But again ... no need to catch your fish dinner with all the great places to eat close by.

Bay front review

Beautiful location and everything is as stated. We were in town for our son's wedding and the house worked well for us - 5 adults and 1 toddler. We liked the private beach but was only a few minutes from anything we needed from food, recreational activities and most importantly the wedding. I think we only used a couple of items but the stocked pantry was great and availbilty of incidentals was great and appreciated. Even a basket of beach toys for the kids! Would definately stay again if we were going to be in the area.

These hosts thought of EVERYTHING! From a shared pantry in case you forgot something to dog leashes, toys, bedding and towels! Stunning scenery, quiet surroundings and a 15 minute drive across the bridge to the beach. Read the literature provided to give some insight to the decor and warm feeling of this home. Clean, clean, clean too! We will be booking again!

Relaxation at its best

This was an amazing house and location for a relaxing vacation! The house had so much character and interesting aspects throughout the house that made for great conversations. Being located a few steps from the warm calm bay water was perfect for relazing evening after being at the gulf beaches or out playing golf. The owners were great and can't thank them enouh for such a wonderful home to enjoy our vacation in. Downside: next door there was a very talkative and sometimes loud bird at the neighbors which caused some issues at night with our son and dogs but tolerable.

Thank you for providing such a quiet and secluded get away for us. Your home had everything we needed and we really appreciated how clean and well organized everything was. Blissful Paradise

The location, the home, and the private beach were a special, private piece of paradise. Two teachers and their two dogs sun bathed, read, eat, kayaked, and laughed. This was the most amazing vacation rental spot I have ever been to. The hosts, Ellen and Robbie, are top notch: everything you could imagine was provided. The family home was decorated so adorably. There are tons of little tranquil spots all over the property. Everything was just beautiful, wonderful, and relaxing.

Fabulous February

Our stay at Ellen and Robbie's home was exceptional. First of all, communication with the hosts is easy! They live behind the rental home so you can always just speak with them OR texting a question was answered speedily as well. They totally respect your privacy and are only there if you need them. Secondly, the view of St. Andrew's Bay cannot be beat. Sitting to eat while gazing at the bay was one of my favorite parts. Relaxing in the Adirondack chairs on your own private little stretch of beach was better yet. Sunsets are awesome. There are kayaks for use and also a firepit. The house is spotless and very comfortable. Entry with a code lock is easy peasy. The beds were very comfortable; showers had hot water immediately with great pressure! There's a hair dryer and curling iron, toilet paper and shampoo/conditioner. Washer and dryer full size & detergent. We brought our 2 dogs and found the fenced side yard to be a big plus. There's a hose for sandy feet and the area is shaded & fenced for when they want to hang out unleashed. ALSO if you happen to forget something, Ellen and Robbie have all kinds of pet items in a corner all their own: crate, gates, bowls, toys, poop bags, leash, a tie out and dog towels!!! Walking he neighborhood with your pooch is great too. Lots of friendly people. There's also a "pantry" with spices, cooking oil, vinegar, flour, etc. AND a cupboard with a selection of teas and some coffee. If you are a reader, you will be in heaven as there is a plethora of books!!! Kids books too. I've never been to a rental home that had so many unusual items not normally found: reading glasses, stationery, stamps, pens. (The only downside is you'll need streaming capabilities for the tv.) We thoroughly enjoyed our monthly stay and highly recommend Maplesden Legacy. When in Panama City, be sure to visit St. Andrews State Park, also Conservation Park. Downtown St. Andrews is really cute. Alice's on Bayview had excellent food. Every Saturday there's a Farmer's Market at Oaks by the Bay Park. We went to Panama City Beach's Pier Park which is an experience in itself.
