Great location, loved being off grid
Spent a few nights here during the girls trip for visit Bryce Canyon. Was a little worried about how cold it might get at night if we turned off the generator, but that was not an issue at all. The house held the heat very well. We spent so much time hiking, that we didn't really have much down time to explore the property, but it was so nice to not have any one around us. Would definitely stay here again.

The property was quiet except for the occasional road noise from Route 89. The heat wasn't working at the time but was not a problem for us. The house stayed comfortable. The oven wasn't working either but also wasn't an issue as we usually used the grill outside and the stove top. The kitchen was well appointed, with everything we needed to cook with. The king size bed was comfortable. The gas fridge kept everything cold. We did not realize that we would have to be refilling the generator, but it ran like a champ! We were there for four nights. Overall, the location was The shining star of this rental! Proximity to Bryce and Red Canyons was super convenient!

The oven and the dishwasher didn't work. It didn't matter that the dishwasher didn't work but disappointed the oven didn't. We tried to find out the checkout procedure but couldn't get in contact with anyone.

We loved staying “off the grid”, having candlelight dinners or barbecue at the fire pit, watching the flycatchers feeding their nestlings and enjoying the beautiful landscape hiking in the canyons - a wonderful place.

Perfect Bryce Area Base Camp
This spot was everything we hoped for in this area. We were able to visit Red Canyon, Kodachrome and Bryce Canyon easily within a short drive. The location offers privacy and a view of the stars at night that is absolutely amazing. It may be off-grid, but Brandt has set the place up with every modern convenience. He's also responsive if you should have any questions while visiting. We would definitely stay again when in the area.

Rest and beauty
My wife and I took two of our grandsons 13 and 15, with us to visit canyons and parks in southern Utah and stayed in this beautiful, well equipped cabin on secluded property for 8 days. We loved the location, the porch is great, the hummingbirds were vicious, and the boys truly enjoyed roaming the property and finding whatever they could. We enjoyed to dark nights with bright stars, and had a couple nice campfires. We were gone quite a bit of the time traveling to different parks but whenever we were there we found it restful and beautiful and truly hated to leave. We would come again.

House is nice. Generator works great to provide all normal conveniences we are used to except air conditioning. For that, we just opened the windows at night, turned fans on and closed in the morning when we left for activities for the day). Nice walking on the trails on the property. Bryce and Zion are both close with tons of hiking/biking options.

Spent 3 nights off the grid after a week of hotel hopping through AZ and UT on our National Parks road trip. Off the grid was just the right size and comfort level for our family of 4! Very clean and close to the sights we wanted to explore. Greatly appreciated the binder of places to visit! We had a great time hunting for agates on the property. Shower felt wonderful after a long day of hiking. Well stocked grocer in town but if you think you will be checking in after 7pm, you may want to stock up on supplies before your arrival! Brant is a great communicator and you can tell he takes pride in his property. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Views!
Great property perfectly located to enjoy southern Utah. Cabin was clean and comfortable and had a great layout. Thoroughly enjoyed the front porch and the hummingbirds that were not shy and visited the feeder regularly! As other reviewers have noted the cabin does get hot in the late afternoon/evening. Fans help, but not all windows open. It is not a deal breaker by any means but worth mentioning. Enjoyed walking the property and riding the ATV on the Ponderosa trail (other trails were too technical for us). Panguitch is a great little town. Visit Kenny Rays for breakfast and Cowboys Smokehouse for dinner. Do not overlook Red Canyon state park - fantastic trails with no crowds. Great trails also located in Dixie National Forest and at Cedar Breaks National Monument. All close by with little to no crowds. Bryce was fantastic and only moderately crowded. IMO - avoid Zion at all costs. Felt like we were cattle on a cattle drive all day. Not a moment of solitude anywhere! Beautiful surroundings but hard to enjoy, not to mention no one spoke English! Book this cabin for your next adventure in southern Utah, you won't be disappointed! Thanks for a great stay!

Isolation Serenity
Great place to stay. Loved the feeling of being isolated and having the area all to yourself. Quiet and cozy place to stay. Such a great escape from the every day runaround. If you want to experience quiet alone time without the hustle and crowds, this is the place to stay. Added plus were the ATV's available to use to explore the property. Enjoyed the view from the porch viewing the sunrise and stars. Brant was an awesome host and provided all the information necessary to enjoy the stay.

Special Property
What an awesome experience for our family of 4. We came from Florida and did Bryce, Zion, and the North Rim. We also enjoyed a short hike down the road from the cabin. Atvs were fun for us to explore the property but the highlight was hiking the dry river bed. Sunsets are awesome here and we sat on the porch most nights. Generator was easy to use. It was a little warm as there was a heat wave, but the fans helped. Brant said they are getting new windows so that should help in the future. Overall a wonderful experience.

good location for Bryce Canyon stay
Nice property for family looking for simple quiet place to stay. We enjoyed the solitude and appreciated the ATVs for my 15-year-old and 20-year-old to ride on the property. Husband and I walked across to the Sevier River. Only complaint was many of the windows don't open or stay open and it was quite warm at night - a master bedroom that you can't open any of the windows in is not good sleeping in the summer.

This is the second time I have come to this property and I can’t say enough how relaxing and fun this place is. You come here to recharge and get away from the hussle and bustle. This time I brought my husband and kids and we all had a great time. You won’t regret it. The host is a super cool and answers all questions and concerns promptly. Amazing views, perfect place
When I saw the property online I knew this was a place that I wanted to try. It surpassed all my expectations. The views were amazing, the atv was a blast to use to explore the land, and it was the perfect home base to explore the surrounding area. We did Bryce Canyon one day, Willis creek, mosey cave, and drove to Escalante for a waterfall hike. We had so much fun and made so many memories. I look forward to bringing my husband and children along next time for a family vacation. Perfect place for peace and quiet into to regain solitude. The hosts were easy to get in contact with. And I even got to meet them super nice family.You will not be disappointed.

Not only a place to stay, but place to play….
Great location with beautiful views everywhere. The house was perfect for a Dad/Son vacation to Utah’s parks. Besides being close to Bryce we loved exploring the property on the ATV. The rocks in the river bed added an extra dimension to our wandering. Well kept and comfortable and I endorse the interesting experience being off the grid! The owner was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Mahalo!

We stayed 2 nights, to explore Bryce. Bryce National Park is close. Beds were comfy, cabin was clean, there were games to play. Shower is hot and awesome, which you need after hiking. Go out at night and check out the stars!

A truly relaxing home away from home
Check in easy. Watching pre check in video was informative, and also made a connection with owner. Property was an adventure in its own. Felt so at ease, like I was at home, not a rental.

The property was great. Everything was as described. Very secluded with a wonderful view. The ATV was a lot of fun and several trails to choose from. Brant was great to communicate with and very responsive. Only a couple of negatives. The fridge unfortunately broke down before we arrived and the new part did not get there in time for our stay. Obviously, this was out of the owners control and they provided a cooler for us to use. (We only stayed 2 days). The other note is that the house holds the heat. The temps during our stay was a high of 78 and low of 50 in the evening. Even with the windows open in the evening and using fans it still stayed warm when we shut the generator off for the night. Several of the windows are labeled as "Do not Open" which made the bedrooms very warm. Overall the property was a good experience.

Great Fun!
This was the perfect halfway spot between the three parks we visited— Bryce, Zion and Grand Staircase. The cabin was neat and clean and comfortable. We cooked in the cabin each night and the kitchen was stocked with all the necessary utensils, pots, pans, etc. The view from the front deck was amazing and we spent most late afternoons relaxing out there with a great breeze. We saw Pronghorn Antelope in the distance-pretty cool. The ATV was a lot of fun as well! We had pizza at a restaurant in Tropic, on our way back from hiking in Grand Staircase, and it was excellent! We have already told a lot of people about this amazing part of the United States and that this cabin is a perfect spot to spend some time and feel like you’re a million miles away from reality.

Perfect mix of Adventure, Relaxation, and Location
Our family of 4 stayed at Brant's property for a week in late June. We had an incredible time! The location was just right- Close to everything, but far enough away that we really felt like we had our own private slice of Utah. Communication with the host when we needed it was always prompt and friendly. I was impressed by how thoughtfully laid out the rental was. It was our first stay in an "off the Grid" cabin, but everything was so nicely laid out and clearly explained we didn't run into any troubles. The ATV was a huge hit with my young boys. So much room to roam and explore on the property. We visited national parks, added camping, fishing, and did horse and raft rides, but after returning home, when I asked my 6 year old what his favorite part of the trip was, he immediately replied "The ATV!!!" Great memories for both Dad and his sons. Some of the smaller touches were surprisingly nice as well. The front porch of the cabin was a focal point. Who'd have thought of such a thing? But sure enough, the whole family enjoyed chilling out there, enjoying the view, watching the birds and animals play, BBQ'ing, reading, doing art and craft projects... It was another unexpected highlight. As for tips or suggestions... we did notice that the cabin got quite stuffy in the evenings. We had to make a point of opening all the windows at dusk and run all the fans, and even then we were barely able to stay ahead of it. Also, the fridge works, but barely. It doesn't get cold cold, it just gets cool enough to keep things barely OK. I brought our cooler in and added ice from the freezer to keep the beverages frosty cold. Finally, we weren't able to get the oven to work. It would start up, at least on broil mode, but die after a few minutes. We gave up on it and got creative with skillet cooking on the range top. This issue may be resolved by the host for future renters, so take that last one with a grain of salt. All in all, the quibbles were minor, and we had an epic good time with our stay. It was nice to be able to jump in to the crazy crowds and see the sights, but then be able to retreat to our quiet, beautiful cabin! I wouldn't hesitate to book another stay or recommend this spot to friends!

Perfect and peaceful location!
We enjoyed our stay at Brant's off-the-grid house. The location was perfect for us! Easy drive to Bryce Canyon, Cedar Breaks Monument and the Red Canyon. Brant had great tips on hikes and places to visit. We loved taking the ATV around the property and exploring on the amazing trails. Evenings on the front porch watching the sunset were beautiful. And the stars were absolutely amazing. We saw numerous shooting stars. Overall we had a great stay and can't wait to go back! There were a couple of things not working (oven, heater, and the front door lock). Brant was not aware of the heater not working until we arrived and he was willing to have someone come fix it while we were there, but we declined due to COVID-19.

Quite Simply Perfect
This property is about as well-located as you can get if you are in the area to explore Bryce Canyon, Zion and the numerous surrounding areas. The property was clean, well-stocked with towels, toiletries and well-furnished. The night skies are AMAZING and I couldn't think of an easier and better located place to stay. I have stayed in 3 other cabins and hotels in the area and by far, this one surpasses them all. Thanks for a great stay!

One of the coolest places we have ever stayed.
There is nothing crazy fancy or crazy Unique but this place is special first off very well organized and Brant has everything mapped out and explained so well you won’t believe it. Second it’s close enough for everything that you don’t feel off the grid at all. Then at night when you shut down the generator and look up into the sky at night. Wow!!! Outstanding! Give this place a shot if it comes up on your list and have a chance to stay. Stay!!! Thank you Brant my wife and I had a wonderful time everything was fantastic!!!

Weekend Getaway
Talked my husband, who isn’t an outdoor type, into staying at this gem. We fully enjoyed our stay. The host, Brant, was great with his communication and instructions. The only bummer was ATV died on us in the driveway , wouldn’t go into gear. Pushing it back up the drive was a chore. Everything else was perfect, Bryce Canyon was beautiful. There’s so much to do I this area I wish we would’ve stayed longer.
