Charmant appartement in het historische Parijs

Zeer charmant appartement onder het dak, met veel licht, typisch Parijse.
Het appartement ligt in Le Marais, Rue des Francs Bourgeois, midden in het centrum van Parijs, dat u kunt kiezen om overal gemakkelijk naartoe te lopen. De locatie is omgeven door oude historische gebouwen en het Place Des Vosges ligt om de hoek. En er zijn eindeloze keuzes aan restaurants en winkels in de buurt.
Het gebouw stamt uit de 19e eeuw en is geheel van steen.
Het appartement is zeer stijlvol met designerstukken en decoratie van antieke winkels.
U komt binnen in een stijlvolle woonkamer met authentieke designmeubels zoals Le Corbusier en oude kunstwerken en decoratie geplukt in veiling- of antiekwinkels, meestal van 40'-50 '.
Je kunt ook veel boeken over architectuur vinden, omdat mijn partner architect is, die je kunt kiezen om te lezen tijdens een dag vrij ronddwalen door de stad.
Het appartement is zeer comfortabel om te ontspannen of te werken met de snelle internetverbinding.
De slaapkamer heeft uitzicht op de Saint Paul-kerk en de lucht van Parijs. De ochtendzon kruipt door het raam op het zuiden - Sommige gasten brachten zeker een paar extra uren door met luieren en ervan genieten.
Het bed is nieuw en zeer comfortabel. Ik bied twee soorten kussens voor degenen die graag een stevige hebben. Er is ook een grote kledingkast beschikbaar.
De badkamer heeft een bad, dus je kunt zelfs een lang bad nemen nadat je te veel hebt gelopen.
De keuken is niet erg groot, maar volledig uitgerust met een goed koffiezetapparaat, oven en vaatwasser.
Een wasmachine en droger zijn beschikbaar op dezelfde verdieping.
het appartement ligt op de 6e verdieping, zonder lift, zoals het meeste Parijse gebouw. Maar wat een genot als je in het appartement bent als een romantisch nest, boven Parijs.

Ik kan u een lijst met zeer leuke restaurants in de omgeving bezorgen.
Ik zorg voor beddengoed, handdoeken, thee en koffie.

Locatie is recht in het hart van Le Marais. Ga naar het oosten naar Bastille, ga naar het westen naar het centrum van Parijs, ga naar het noorden naar Republique, ga naar het zuiden naar de rivier. Locatie is vrij onverslaanbaar. 100% veilige ruimte, mocht er ooit twijfel bestaan.

Truly Living Like a Parisienne

We loved this experience!Thank you Mathieu for your help including suggesting a driver from the airport!Our accommodation was perfect for us.The apartment is situated in an area that is walkable to many cafes,museums and Notre Dame. My personal favourite was going 600 steps to the Boulangerie each morning for croissants.Comfortable bed ,quiet nights and grateful for laundry facilities as we had been away for 2 weeks.The view out the window of the roof tops was amazing.

Back to Paris much, much later

As described. You buy your morning baguette go up make coffee and set out for the day. Averaged 15,000 steps a day for 14 days. Saw everything: start with the small museums (especially recommend Arts et Metiers and Madame Curies laboratory) Skip the Louvre. Buy a postcard..Superb location for walking. I often mapped a route of a mile or so, both walking and driving and driving sometimes took longer than walking. Really!No metro strike so all was perfect. Went to concerts and special timed events. FLV was fascinating with Hockney and his huge exhibit. Carnavalet around the corner. Musee d'Orsay now huge and a full day must see. Etc etc. Lived here as a student in 1962 at the Sorbonne and all the crazy 'manifestations'.

Your search for lodging in Paris should stop now. Rent this apartment! Mathieu has thought of everything and is an excellent communicator! The apartment is beautifully decorated and incredibly convenient to the metro and many must see attractions without feeling at all touristy. Very comfortable bed, too!

My husband and I stayed in this well appointed and perfectly situated apartment for five wonderful days in Paris. The location just steps from the Place Des Voges was the perfect place to start our morning in one of the many cafes. Two metro lines were short walks away and everything we wanted to see was easy to get to. Our host was so helpful and offered great suggestions too. We will look forward to returning.

Soul enriching stay

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at this property as she settled into her study abroad program in Paris. This stunning Haussmann style apartment came with all the practical things you would want from a home away from home…comfortable bed, clean surroundings, terrific pillows, luxuriously deep tub with steaming hot water for soaking, etc. This property is in a spectacular location in Le Marais…just a stones throw from the Picasso Museum, the National Archives Museum, and the breathtaking Place des Vosges (which also houses the preserved Paris apartment of the legendary Victor Hugo). It is decked out stylishly, with lovingly curated items and inviting furniture. Perhaps my favorite features were the delightful south facing windows that streamed sunlight from morning until evening. If the beguiling streets of Paris had not been enticing me out, I would have happily sat with a good book and a coffee, looking out on the rooftops of Le Marais for an entire afternoon. As the property suggests, one could actually imagine themselves a “Parisian” while staying there. M. Forestier, is certainly a magnanimous and kind host who seems to love sharing his own passion for greater Paris, and Le Marais in particular, with visitors. It was such a privilege to be welcomed there.

Parisian paradise

This smart, tastefully decorated and ideally located apartment is beyond comparison. Perfect situation for a couple with a small child or two adults - this was a mother and daughter trip for us and the space couldn’t have been better. The host, Matthieu is warm, helpful and accommodating. His restaurant recommendations spot on and assistance in securing airport transportation greatly appreciated. Small but Beautiful

We enjoyed our 5-day stay in this tastefully decorated and very quiet one-bedroom apartment in a great location in the Marais, within a short walking distance to a least half a dozen museums and many small parks (e.g.Place de Vosges) and gardens (e.g. Mark Ashton Garden). I found several interesting independent shops around there, including two pop up stores selling women’s fashion made by young designers based in Paris, all selling at reasonable prices. Plenty of good restaurants nearby recommended by the host as well as by our friends and the Michelin Guide. All the furniture and items in the flat were carefully picked and put together, making for a calm visit. It’s a great place to stay for a couple who love Paris, museums, gardens, eating out and shopping.

Superb!!!

After our five-night stay at this idyllic Parisian apartment, I cannot imagine returning to Paris and staying anywhere else!! The location in the Marais neighbourhood is absolutely wonderful with many great shops and restaurants all within a stone’s throw of this rooftop retreat. With a short walk to St. Paul metro station, all of Paris is accessible! On top of it all, Mathieu is simply fantastic!!! Despite being on holiday himself during our stay, Mathieu was so welcoming, kind, attentive and helpful! His restaurant recommendations were all amazing and he constantly did everything he could to ensure our stay was a pleasant one! Merci Mathieu for making our Paris Olympic adventure even more fantastic than we could have ever expected!!!

Parisian rooftops

This elegant rooftop apartment is a delight, ideally located, light filled, and very comfortably furnished. We had a lovely stay, and enjoyed gazing across the rooftops and down on to the street below. We had all the amenities we required for a short break, and enjoyed perusing the many books and magazines provided. There is even a brand new lift, French style, to take us to the fifth floor, so only one flight of stairs. Mathieu is a charming and considerate host and made us very welcome. Highly recommended.

Beautiful apartment in ideal location

I stayed here for a week with my teenage daughter for a mother-daughter trip, and the apartment was lovely. It was on the smallish side, but we expected that. We had everything we needed here. We did not cook - other than making coffee in the morning - so I cannot speak to how it would have been to cook in the kitchen, as it was very small. We were very glad that the elevator had been installed and was working, as it would have been difficult to drag our suitcases up 6 very narrow flights of stairs, so the elevator was appreciated! The neighborhood was perfect - charming, beautiful, with cafes and interesting shops all round. We could not have been happier with the location and the apartment suited our needs very well.

A Very Enjoyable Accommodation but Check the Ascent

I really enjoyed this property because (a) it's very comfortable, well-appointed and modern (b) it's quiet (c) it was in a good location (at least for my needs). That said, it's on the 6th floor of a 6 floor building. An elevator is being installed but was not completed before my stay began. The owner explained this to me and I was aware that the elevator night not be complete, and indeed it was not. I knowingly accepted the risk. I'm fit but going up 6 flights with a heavy suitcase and backpack was challenging. I also walk everywhere in the city (with few exceptions), and after hours of waking the vertical climb was not exactly the best part of my day. My recommendation would be to understand if the elevator is functional when you commit to the rental, unless you enjoy significant exercise. The location suited my needs because I could walk to many places of my interest. Also, there is a taxi stand 5 minutes away for more far-flung points. I prefer to stay above-ground, either on-foot or in a taxi to see the world around me. For that reason I can't comment on the metro. I had a wonderful stay in Paris for my 4.5 day sejour, which occurred during school vacation week. I would say that if you have your heart set on seeing particular sites, buy tickets on-line well in advance. You might find yourself disappointed, otherwise. Thanks to host Mathieu for his responsiveness and fine hospitality.
