'A very quirky, interesting, historical Hotel a short stroll from all the amenities that Swanage have to offer. Friendly helpful staff from start to finish, all very knowledgeable regarding the history of the hotel. It’s obviously like the forth bridge regarding the upkeep and maintenance, but that’s expected with an old building,it adds to its charm. All areas were clean and tidy. 'The setting is perfect, overlooking Freshwater Bay, and the hotel has been beautifully restored. Everywhere feels very spacious and comfortable. The staff are lovely and clearly wanted us to have a wonderful experience staying at the hotel. They dealt with my irritating dietary requirements with concern and professionalism and were all friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to go back.'

'There are not many places to stay in Wimborne. This is probably the best. Don’t expect elevators or lots of modern conveniences here. This is a 16th century hotel with narrow staircases and our room had beamed ceilings and a copper bathtub. What is great is that it is right in the won center and has enough free and secure parking so you don’t need to use a public carpark.'

'Goed alternatief, dichtbij het Bovington Tankmuseum. Staff is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam, voldoende parkeerruimte.. Het eten is prima. 1 klein minpuntje; als u wilt ontbijten, dan kan dit pas vanaf 9 uur 's morgens.'
