'Our stay at Casa do Rio was exceptional. There are 10 rooms with stunning views of the Douro River and vineyards. Our room was spotless and tastefully decorated, and we were welcomed with a plate of fresh figs and white port and all ingredients to make portonics. The grounds are lovely with an infinity pool overlooking the river and two semi private fresh water dunking pools. The food and was outstanding! We made our dinner selections earlier in the day and were treated to an exquisite...

'Beautiful property immersed in nature. The views, architecture, pool and plants were stunning. Food at the restaurant was excellent. A really unique stay.'

'Unfortunately there had been a storm and the hotel was without a restaurant or bar, and in recovery mode. However, the receptionist was very helpful. The hotel itself is a stunner.'

Aardige eigenaren. Lekker eten.'

'Top! Enig minpuntje: kleine kamer , maar groot terras😊. Lekker ontbijt! Prachtig uitzicht en verfrissend zwembad!'

'Amazing and very cosy hotel. It only has 3 rooms but that is the charme of this hotel. In return you have a very relaxed morning with a good breakfast. They use fresh ingredients for the breakfast and they don't use sugar. The thing I liked the most (and I think that is also the nr1 reason to book here) is the amazing view over the Douro valley. Marco and his wife Ana are very friendly and helpful. They also offer a great full day tour in the Douro valley with amazing lunch! I would recommend...

'Quinta do Pego has been recently refurbished (rebuild?) by a Danish company and offers a fantastic experience in the Douro Valley. The Quinta is small (only 10 rooms) and excels in personal attention: no matter where you are in the hotel and at what time, you will be able to order a drink or a bite. And when you enter your room for the first time, a great port surprise awaits you! The infinity pool is a great place to relax, but there are also walks through the grape ranks which you undertake at...

'Mooi en gezellig hotel. Prachtig uitzicht.

'Good service. Not working airco. Bathroom was a bit outdated.'

Bravo!!'

'Je recommande, excellent service'

'This was for sure a highlight of our trip. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and well kept and the location is breathtaking. Would definitely recommend and go to again.'
