'We stayed at the Castello Di Porcia for 5 nights while visiting family. We had their superior apartment. It was very well-built, roomy, beautifully decorated and in excellent condition. The bed was comfortable and there were dishes, pots and pans for cooking along with some incidentals such as coffee, tea, etc. We appreciated having laundry facilities which included detergent and fabric softener. 'After my stay in Ponderone was prolonged (due to adjusted work schedules) I prolonged my stay in this hotel without hesitation. Friendly, professional and a very well renewed superior room and bath (yes, bubbles). Charmed by the hotel, the town and one of the reception staff in particular I did consider staying for ever. Maybe on my next stay. But right now I'm in Stockholm for work, wearing a coat.'

'A pleasant, simple option about a 4-minute drive from Motta di Livenza. This is a family-run affair, and it may feel as if you're living in a spare bedroom - but the owners were very pleasant and offered useful restaurant recommendations, and the breakfast was solid, if not spectacular. The rural setting, though, is delightful: two vineyards are within easy walking distance, and the adjacent small road works well for a morning jog.
