Prachtig strandhuis met directe toegang tot het prachtige strand van Paynes Bay.

Mahogany Pod is een herenhuis met drie slaapkamers gelegen aan de baai van Paynes aan de modieuze westkust van Barbados. Het pand is in 2016 volledig gerenoveerd en biedt een prachtig uitzicht op zee naar alle slaapkamers en woonruimtes. Het zandstrand is toegankelijk via uw eigen poort aan de onderkant van de tuin en biedt geweldig snorkelen voor de deur. Het huis is ingericht in de stijl van een familiehuis in tegenstelling tot een vakantieverhuur en het stuk d'resistance is de ruime penthouse hoofdslaapkamer met een zithoek met grote flatscreen-tv, minikoelkast, balkon over de hele lengte, inloop kast en een grote badkamer met zijn en haar ijdelheden, bad en douche. Slaapkamers 1 en 2 hebben beide een inloopkast, een eigen badkamer met douche en Franse deuren naar het balkon met comfortabel houten meubilair. Alle slaapkamers hebben een kluis, plafondventilatoren en airconditioning. Alle badkamers zijn voorzien van haardrogers en kleine details zoals geurkaarsen, zeep, douchegels en bodylotions zijn aanwezig om uw verblijf te verbeteren. Een ruime keuken is volledig uitgerust met fornuis, kookplaat, magnetron, grote koelkast met vriesvak met ijsblokjesmachine, vaatwasser en wasdroger, evenals een uitgebreide selectie servies, glazen en bestek. De lounge heeft een flatscreen satelliet-tv met alle UK & Sky-kanalen en een dvd-speler. Zowel de lounge als de eetgedeelte hebben tweevoudige openslaande deuren die de kamer openen naar een overdekte veranda met banken, natte bar en minikoelkast en een grote gasbarbecue. Het zwembad is de perfecte manier om af te koelen na het zonnebaden. Mahonie Pod heeft overal WiFi.

Mahogany Pod ligt op slechts vijf minuten lopen van het beruchte Cliff-restaurant, Cliff Beach club, Daphne's en u kunt langs het strand naar Sandy Lane lopen. De eigenaren komen al vele jaren naar Barbados en helpen je graag bij het boeken bij de vele restaurants op het eiland. We kunnen watersporten regelen, zoals waterskiën, wakeboarden, enz. Om u op te halen van de bodem van de tuin. De bus naar Holetown (restaurants, bioscoop, winkels en supermarkt) en Bridgetown stopt op een paar meter van het huis.

Inbegrepen in uw verblijf is een welkomstpakket met boodschappen, huishoudster 5 ochtenden per week en nachtwaker elke avond van 18:00 - 06:00 uur. De huishoudster kan ook maaltijden en kinderopvang bereiden als een toeslag die rechtstreeks aan haar moet worden betaald.

We had a really great time staying at this home in Barbados. All of the bedrooms had nice bathrooms and a balcony. The primary bedroom was particularly spectacular, with plenty of space, a large bathroom and a separate changing room and closet.We really enjoyed the connection to the outdoors between the balconies and the garden. We spent most of our time outside. We used the small pool more than we expected. It was especially nice for my young son so I could keep him entertained while others were sleeping. We didn't really swim on the beach directly in front of the house due to the tides and some rocks, but there was a nice beach about a one minute walk to the left and we spent a lot of time there. It still felt like we had a beach right at the house. We had a great week and look forward to coming back! It was great for a family. As a reader, there were also numerous areas to settle in to read.

Fantastic place! Right on the water with a gate to a small private beach that only a few people share. The backyard looks like a botanic garden with brightly colored plants/flowers and all of it is maintained perfectly. The vegetation near the water's edge is high enough that it acts as a completely opaque privacy screen from the beach so that's nice. The dip pool helps keep you cool too!This is possibly the cleanest rental I've ever seen and very spacious. The upstairs balconies (with chairs) that overlook the ocean/backyard are absolutely amazing. The bathrooms are all big too which is a huge plus. The kitchen downstairs is completely stocked - stove/oven, coffee and espresso maker, kettle, toaster, blender, you name it, they have it. Lots of clean cookware and dinnerware too and easy to get around if multiple people are cooking. Two things to be aware of: 1) the rental is on a main road but it's on the non-bedroom side of the house so the noise isn't bad. There's also a restaurant across the street that has occasional live music (only once in the week we were there) but that didn't bother us either. 2) there is no AC on the bottom level which is where the kitchen/dining room/living room is but there were a ton of strong fans though so it didn't bug us.Don't let any of that stop you though. This place is an almost literal paradise. I'd rent again in a heartbeat. Just do it!!!

Mahogany Pod was a home run with our family of two adults and two teens, ranking as one of our very favorite holiday rentals. The property is spotless, nicely equipped, and has a superb layout for privacy and relaxation. Its central location on the coast made exploring Barbados or just dashing to the grocery store for a forgotten item a breeze. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful morning views with our coffee on the deck, the easy access to swimming and fun snorkeling, and the peacefulness of reading in the garden. Communication with Emma and her team was excellent from start to finish, and we really appreciated the thoughtful selection of starter groceries and delicious banana bread after a long day’s travel. Many thanks to you all for a wonderful stay.

We had a lovely relaxing stay. The property was nice, spacious and comfortable. It was well maintained and larger than the pictures suggest. The top balcony was great for relaxing with a drink and a book.We had a hire car for our stay and the access was easy but secure - parking was never a problem.

My wife and I are just back from at week at Mahogany Pod. It sits directly on Paynes Bay with steps down to a beautiful beach. The house is immaculate and beautifully furnished. It has every amenity you could wish for. We had a fabulous week there cooking fresh fish on the BBQ from the local fish market (150 yds along the beach and ate at some of our favourite restaurants all a very short distance away. Emma the owner and the local management team were a joy to deal with and I couldn’t recommend the property high enough.

Our vacation started off poorly with missed connections and arrival delays but we stayed in constant contact with Emma and she ensured that members of our party were greeted when we arrived. The house was beautifully appointed and had everything we required for a lovely stay. Ryan, the house manager was attentive and arrived quickly when we locked ourselves out of the safe in our room. We couldn't have been more pleased with the house and the staff, and Barbados as a whole. Our group plans to return

Before our arrival, Emma was helpful and accommodating. However we chose this property and paid a premium price for the holiday season due to the listing she posted. The listing stated the home had air conditioning. But it did not clarify that it was only available in the bedrooms!!! None of the living areas such as the living room, dining area, kitchen, or the en suite bathrooms had air!!! The master bathroom was so hot we avoided using it. When i addressed this with Emma the owner, her response was to change the ad, which was very deceptive, and did not change our horrible experience. Additionally the house lacks window screens, and with out air you are required to leave the shutters open for air flow, which invited bugs! The house manager Ryan admitted he knew this was an issue, and just had the house fumigated prior to our arrival. Despite the fumigation a roach walked right by my husband and Ryan when we entered. Next, The kitchen cabinets, and other cabinets reeked of mildew, which transferred into the silverware and dishes. We had to wash everything and leave out on the countertops throughout our stay. Tamica the house keeper even acknowledged this odor. While the property is beach front, beware the beach is not useable. You must walk to the beach next door to the property which is backed by loud traffic, not relaxing.In closing BEWARE! We we so disgusted and upset over our stay and would not recommend it to anyone else unless you love sweating.

We loved our stay in this beautiful home! The location is fabulous with direct beach access and close to great restaurants. It has a well-appointed kitchen with 3 ways to make coffee:-) We appreciated the delicious banana bread and other treats. No day was complete without a dip in the plunge pool - very refreshing on a hot day! The bedrooms feature private bathrooms (awesome water pressure!) and balconies where we enjoyed the morning light, hummingbirds and coffee. The sunsets were spectacular! There is a nice yard with a grill and dining table. Also, sun loungers. We appreciated the fantastic list of recommended restaurants and the recommendation to take a catamaran cruise - we went with Silver Moon and it was a fabulous experience! I would be so happy to return to Barbados and this house!

My family and I stayed here for my birthday. The host was extremely helpful, even before we arrived. She helped with transportation, that we used the entire week. She set us up with the chef, who was amazing! And she provided recommendations on places to go on the island. The accommodations were just as advertised, and we loved that each bedroom had an en suite and balcony. Everyone was comfortable had their own space. The easy access to the beach was just icing on the cake! Thank you Emma.

Wonderful property right on the beach which feels like your own slice of paradise. Local buses right outside the front of the property to transport you anywhere along the coast. Villa exceptionally maintained and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Beautiful home from home decor throughout.

My friends and I reserved “Mahogany Pod” for our annual Girl’s Trip. Emma’s home was beautiful with all the comforts required for an enjoyable and relaxing vacation. It was very obvious that the owner has taken a great deal of pride in adding special touches in the decor throughout the home. The staple food items and homemade banana bread she provided was a thoughtful special touch. We especially appreciated Emma and the manager’s assistance with airport transfers, a chef and recommending the best masseur on the island. I would certainly recommend Mahogany Pod to anyone visiting Barbados. A. Fleet

Mahogany Pod was perfect for our family! The location is great, with easy access to the bus into Hole Town and a short walk to QP Bistro and The Cliff. The property is clean, private and well stocked with dishes and everything you would need should you want to eat in. Emma was an amazing host, with timely communication and she made our arrival to Mahogany Pod easy, comfortable and welcoming. Tamica was warm and friendly, I will miss her. We were sad to leave this home away from home and can’t wait to return. Thank you Emma!

We had such a lovely family holiday, our first time to Barbados and I’m sure it won’t be the last. Communication with the owner was great. Mahogany Pod is a beautiful property with stunning architecture. The house was very clean and well stocked. The views from every bedroom are stunning! Each room has its own full bathroom and dressing room. The fish market next door is convenient and inexpensive. We went to the upscale restaurants in the area and they were all lovely, but the fresh fish on the grill was certainly a treat. The beach in front of the property is great for snorkeling. If you walk on the beach to the right of the property, you will walk past many hotels. All the beaches are public, so you can utilize these areas to lay out or find swimming areas. The water comes up to the house at high tide and the sound of the ocean is wonderful to hear slapping against the sea wall. Suggestions: Go to Clifton Market in the Limegrove shopping area rather than Massys for food shopping. They have meats and foods that are closer to the comforts of home. They also had lots of gluten free/allergy options. The house is on a busy street. The sound of the street is loud. You can hear it throughout the house, but not when you are on the beach. The resorts are also on this road, so if the noise will bother you, Paynes Bay may not be the area for you. Our vacation was lovely! We very much enjoyed having the plunge pool!! We miss Barbados and the warm weather! Thank you Mahogany Pod for wonderful memories! 💛🇧🇧

Our stay here was remarkable. Being able to hear and see the ocean was so relaxing. We loved being able to walk right onto the beach, snorkel, go for a swim and come back with a rum punch from the fish market. Great location with easy access to a lot of places. Tamika and Emma were extremely helpful and be sure to say hi to Carl, the gardener. We hope to be back next year!

We stayed at Emma & Rays home at Mahogany Bay for our 40th anniversary and it couldn’t have be more wonderful!!! The house and grounds were beautiful. The location was perfect!!! Emma also had supplied us with the necessities for a few days with milk, eggs, bread, coffee and not to forget the amazing chocolate banana bread!!! The perfect home and location for our family vacation. Mahogny Pod has everything you need to enjoy Paradise. The beach is great for snorkeling or lazing in the ocean on a float. The views from the house and the upstairs decks and amazing. The owner was a delightful and full of many suggestions to make our trip fun. Five stars all the way around.
