'Lovely room. Good value for money. Warm and helpful staff. Lovely location and grounds. Wifi was decent. I got a room on the top floor and there is no lift which was not ideal with luggage but likely explains the reasonable price. I stayed over a weekend and there was a wedding one night that went on very late into the night which kept me up. Otherwise a great stay. I'd stay again.'

' Terrible stay. Upon arrival we had to wait to check in. No greeting, no explanation, just a key handed over by an unfriendly receptionist. Absolutely no sense of hospitality. The room was far from clean: stained bedding, mold in the bathroom, and a damaged wall. The phone didn’t even work, which meant I had to go to reception in the middle of the night when my friend became sick. The staff showed no empathy at all, even laughed at the situation, and said cleaning could only be done the next...

'I highly recommend this hotel. Very friendly and professional staff. Every member of staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. An excellent choice of breakfasts included in the price. The restaurant was excellent in the evenings. The location is fantastic with wonderful views of the beautiful Peak countryside.'
