Huisje in Croesor-bergdorp in het Snowdonia National Park nr Porthmadog

Gelegen in Croesor, in het Snowdonia National Park tussen Cnicht (een populaire berg voor klimmers en wandelaars) en het Moelwyn-gebergte. De kust bij Morfa Bwchan ligt op een klein eindje rijden.

Woonkamer uitgerust met open haard en 3 opslag kachels, dubbele bank, 2 fauteuils, televisie en video, tafel en 4 stoelen, keuken met fornuis, magnetron, waterkoker en broodrooster, wasmachine en vaatwasser.

Boven slaapkamer met tweepersoonsbed, kleine slaapkamer met 2 stapelbedden en een badkamer met onderdompeling verwarming 's nachts verwarmd. Beneden is er nog een slaapkamer met een klein tweepersoonsbed en een televisie.

Omheinde voortuin met houten bank met uitzicht op de Croesor-vallei en de bergketen Moelwyn.

Het huisje gelegen in Croesor, in de buurt van Porthmadog, is goed uitgerust voor elke vakantie met het gezin en is al meer dan 30 jaar verhuurd. Het pand is het hele jaar door te huur en is een geweldige locatie om te wandelen naar Beddgelert via de wereldberoemde Aberglasslyn-pas, de piramidevormige berg Cincht en de Moelyn-bergen. Gelegen in de buurt van Clough Williams-Ellis thuis van Plas Brondanw (tuinen open voor bezoekers) de architect die Portmeirion heeft ontworpen, dat slechts 16 km van het huisje ligt, tegenover de dam van Porthmadog.

Beautiful scenery very remote

Nice cosy cottage very comfortable, we were lucky with the weather would not want to be there in bad weather as it is so remote and only reached by single track road.

One of the best

A very comfortable week in a very beautiful place. Remote enough for us, we like the quiet and the nature, but a lot of things to do without going too far. The house is exactly as described and has a fantastic outlook at the front. Can't really fault it and will be going back.

Stunning views and a nice affordable remote accommodation

The accomodation is a cozy little cottage where me and my family enjoyed lovely moments in the evenings by the fireplace. Ideal if you want to have a quiet retreat holiday. The views all around are unique and amazing, making for lots of walking opportunities. The nearby public pool was empty, however, less than half an hour away is Black Sands sandy beach, where kids enjoyed swimming and body boarding.

Christmas in Croesor

We had a lovely 4 night stay over Christmas in this cozy little cottage in a tranquil little village at the foot of Cnicht mountain. The fireplace was a delight, as were the lazy-boy sofas and the well equipped kitchen. The stairs were a bit of a challenge for my knees, but good training for hiking up in the hills and the valley. Plenty of walking opportunities from the village and the most incredible view of Cnicht and across to Snowdon, weather permitting!

Nice property and very nice location in a friendly village. Not the best of weather but it's nice to come back and sit by a cozy coal fire. I found it hard to get the hang of the TV but as we were out so much iplayer was sufficient if we really wanted the TV on. No other observations, we had a great stay.

Peace and tranquility

Plenty of local walks requiring no vehicle once you have arrived. If you're looking for peace and tranquility, this is perfect. Open fire, cosy lounge and central heating as back up. Beautiful views from front windows of mountains. Remember to keep gate closed as local sheep are free to roam. This is our second visit and we're still discovering new walks and places of interest. Nature at it's best!!

We loved the cottage and the location

We had such a great week in Croesor. The cottage was lovely - very comfy beds, great shower and well stocked kitchen. We misread the info and thought we needed to take our own duvets/pillows etc but they were supplied! (You just need your own sheets, covers, pillow cases) We absolutely loved the area. Incredible views from the windows of the cottage including sheep and a horse in the field opposite. The valley is beautiful - my 2 young boys loved exploring the old quarry and hillsides around. Plas Brondanw and it's cafe just down the road is a must. We also enjoyed conquering Snowdon, Harlech beach, Criccieth and Caernarfon Castle. Could've easily stayed for 2 weeks! Thank you!

The quietest place I’ve ever stayed.

All previous reviews cover it really. The house has everything you need to have a great week, cook large meals if needed, heating more that sufficient to battle even minus temperatures outside, modern windows that open (something we’ve found old properties often don’t have) for summer months. It’s location at the end of 2 miles of single track (plenty of passing places) means no through traffic. One house and a farm beyond us meant the only vehicles we saw was delivery drivers. The quiet was just amazing.The minus for us was it seems they rely on the previous tenants heeding the instructions and hoovering before they leave. Someone before us obviously didn’t as when I came to do so the hoover revealed a lot of golden retriever like long hair in the lounge. Our dog has short hair. I spent almost an hour scrubbing away with the hoover but its suction was not as it should be (I have the same hoover and it’s much more powerful). So my only suggestion would be add a 40 cleaning fee to the booking and hire someone up to the task.That said, we will definitely book again. But maybe bring our own hoover.

Lovely cottage with wonderful view

We had such a nice stay in this cozy, lovely cottage! Everything was provided fore, and even more you could ask for. Movies, games and the WiFi was a big surprise. The surrounding area was beautiful, great for walks. Squirrels visited us everyday in the garden. Couldn’t wish for a better stay.

Rural cottage

Perfect for us; couple in their fifties... Remote little village high in the Snowdonia area and still not far from all important sightseeings if you want to. First three days we spent walking around the cottage. Beautiful! The cottage ofcourse is tipical English, so do not expect any desighn, but everything you need is present! Please do visit Conway and walk the townwalls and do not forget to walk the Roman road from the cottage to Tan-y-bwlch (appr. 2 hours) and order per person one plate of starters and one or two lagers at the Oakeley Arms Hotel, then walk back in the sunset. Fantastic stay in Croesor

We had a lovely stay in the cottage in Croesor. The view is wonderful, we did a lot of walking which we enjoyed very much. The cottage was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the open fire. In the cottage was a lot of information on site seeing. Everything was basic but very nice. We enjoyed the birds in the garden. It is a perfect place to visit Snowdonia. When we left, I already felt sad.

Perfect mountain hideaway

We are return visitors and always enjoy our stay in this simple little terraced house. We like the quietness and remoteness of the spot, the mountain views, the open fires (when needed!) and the access to walks and the nearby countryside. The WiFi is not great, but for a peace and quiet this place is hard to beat. The cottage had all we needed for a great stay, but remember to bring toilet rolls!

Lovely Stay

Cottage was lovely, clean, comfortable, needed some warming up on first night but after that was very comfy, WiFi not amazing, BUT it is in the middle of nowhere so no complaints! Cracking views, and the fire was lovely!

Perfect Cottage

Reluctant to tell anyone about this perfect cottage, incase it’s all booked up when we want to return. Clean, comfy and well equipped, excellent location for walks and views of mountains and valleys. Short drive to Portmadog (Tesco, Lidl, Aldi) and Lleyn Peninsula.

Sunny Snowdonia!

Nice cosy house and very friendly neighbours. Lovely views from the front windows and very nice walks on the doorstep. There's also the outdoor swimming pool 2 minutes down the road, filled from the mountain stream and very cold but invigorating! Easy to get to Porthmadog, down the coast to Barmouth or up to the Zip World attractions. We had very good, warm weather while we were there!
