    Van surfers tot snoozers, zonsopgang en zonsondergang, een prachtig landschap en eindeloze wandelingen, je krijgt zeker een dosis of wat frisse Cornish zeelucht!
    Harbour Lights is een 150 jaar oud, voormalig vissershuisje in graniet gebouwd, beschut in Mounts Bay en op een steenworp afstand van de waterkant. Met maximaal comfort, een open ontwerp, is het klein, gezellig, modern en goed uitgerust, met behoud van de originele openhaard. Hoewel het geen tuin heeft, heeft het de luxe van een parkeerhaven op 25 meter van de voordeur in de kleine havenparking, met een gratis vergunning voor de gasten.
    Het dorp Newlyn is een schilderachtige korte wandeling langs de rand van de haven, waar de lokale vissersvloot dagelijks hun verse vangst landt. Het dorp heeft cafés, bakkerijen, een visboer, slager, supermarkt, Cornish pubs en bioscoopfilmhuis, evenals een kaaswinkel en vleeswaren, pizzeria, pasty shop en fish and chips shop, niet om een kunstgalerij te bezoeken met een café dat panoramisch geeft uitzicht op de zee en meer ...
    Het delen van Mounts Bay en in de nabijheid van elkaar zijn Mousehole; Penzance, met zijn lange promenade en verwarmd lido zwembad; Marazion met de mystieke berg van St. Michael. De lokale bushalte naar Mousehole en Penzance ligt op 2 minuten van het huisje.
    Het schiereiland Cornish heeft een overvloed aan plaatsen om te ontdekken - prachtige stranden en baaien, surfen in Sennen, prachtige Porthcurno en het turquoise water, het magische openlucht Minack Theatre met uitzicht op de zee, St Ives, Lands End, het Lizard Peninsula, Porthleven en verborgen Lamora Cove. Niet te vergeten een reeks eigenschappen van National Trust met hun prachtige tuinen, en ... ssshhh ... rustige Penberth Cove, beroemd als locatie voor de tv-serie, ‘Poldark’. A great location in Newlyn, good amenities in the cottage - three TVs with Netflix etc, washing machine as well as the obvious kitchen stuff. Close to the harbour in Newlyn so there are great chances to buy fresh fish on your door step, plus plenty of good restaurants.Having stayed there for two years running, it’s highly recommended. Only advisory note is if you have mobility issues, the parking now is at the bottom of quite a steep slope rather than directly opposite as it was last year, so just bear that in mind!

Great few days

Cottage was lovely and cosy. Very well equipped and the Christmas decorations were a very nice touch. The information pack was full of useful tips on the local area. The car parking facility was a great plus. Will definitely return.

Just as advertised. We had a lovely stay for 2 weeks in March.Easy walk to town, good parking for Cornwall, Will come again. Only negative, no recycling bins for glass/ plastic etc. Just seems wrong these days.

The property is clean and tidy, with well maintained furnishings and plenty of equipment to make a meal etc, but the property is in need of a repaint internally, particularly on the ground floor, where there is some evidence of damp with flaking paint and plaster. Getting to the washing machine in the lean-to was an experience, I know in a small house you need to store things where you can, but having to move step ladders to open the washing machine door is a bit much.The property is in a nice location near the harbour and is well situated for excursions further afield, both by bus and car. The big negative is the parking, which was difficult to locate when arriving after dark and would be a bit of a trek if you had mobility problems. Although there is no outdoor space with the property, the seat by the side of the terrace is a god place for a cup of tea whilst watching the fishing fleet come and go. another positive is the bus stops less than a minute from the property.

Lovely cottage for a couple with a great location on the harbour. Equipped with everything you could need for a self-catering holiday. Good fish and chip shop in the village and The Bridge restaurant was excellent with very friendly staff. The Red Lion pub was good for drinks only a minutes walk away. A nice walk from the cottage to Mousehole which is very quaint. Only downside was there is nowhere outside to dry washing and it took ages to dry inside as the cottage is a bit damp. Overall a good base for exploring and we had a great week there. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Never been to Cornwall before, as a family we enjoyed our stay at Harbour Lights Cottage, we have a golden retriever , Odon, he is 13 he loved his holiday. The cottage was very comfortable, fresh and bright, with a short walk to shops & pubs. We all loved being so close to the sea, the weather was perfect. So much to do and see around Newlyn. The pottery shop was fabulous, we bought lots and will be back.

A nice little cottage but wold be cramped for more than 2 people. I am over 6' tall and found it a bit on the small side fo rme, but my petite wife was quite happy and highly amused when I got stuck down the side of the bed! Nevertheless it does represent good value for a family and is an easy walk to Mousehole or down to the harbour etc. Supermarkets a short drive (or cycle ride) and the parking is ideal being just opposite in a reserved space (permit provided),

This was a lovely cottage, well equipped with comfortable sofas and beds.

This was a lovely cottage, well equipped with comfortable sofas and beds. The location was excellent. It had no garden but there was a green area close by with a bench where you could sit out and watch the boats in the harbour. I don't usually go back to a cottage for a second visit but for Harbour Lights I would defiantly repeat the experience.

A lovely cottage, an ideal base for the many places to visit around the west of Cornwall (and beyond if you don't mind driving) All the equipment you could possibly need (and to be honest quite a bit you wouldn't need ☺) Well appointed, comfy, clean, car parking across the road which is ideal. We are very happy with the choice we made to stay at this delightful cottage, and would do so again without hesitation. Like so many other reviews have mentioned, the Cream tea is a nice touch, thank you.

Just returned from a week's stay at Harbour Lights, couldn't fault any bit. The accommodation was perfect for us and Daisy the Westie. Spotlessly clean, everything you need and brilliant location right across from the harbour. Reserved parking right across the road too which was great. You can walk right from the cottage into Mousehole which took about 25 mins and took in the coastal path and breathtaking views. You can leave your car and walk into Penzance from the cottage which takes you all around the promenade, it takes about half an hour and can stop at the Lugger Inn which has a sea side seating area and views across to St Michael's Mount. We drove all over Cornwall but the highlights were St Ives which was gloriously sunny, Newquay was bustling and the beaches are dog friendly, the locals are so warm and friendly, Porthleven was a surprising find, lovely busy fishing harbour and lots of off the beaten track beaches, you could have been abroad with the perfect white sand and turquoise sea. Newlyn itself has the best ice cream shop and chippy, a seafood cafe, a bakers, a coop that has everything you need, some good pubs and fish market. We didnt want to leave and are planning to return very soon!
