Perfect for a romantic getaway, family vacay, boating trip, girls getaway, or no occasion at all. You'll never want to leave! Amazing sunrises and moonrises all year long, The perfect cottage for summer water fun, Bring your boat, jet skis, kayaks, etc.. Fish or crab from the bulkhead. It's a beautiful getaway any time of year. This idyllic cottage has two bedrooms and a private sleeping area on the porch with an amazing water view. All bedding and lines are provided and included. Beach towels are also provided. Adorable galley kitchen with beautiful granite counter tops, with all the accoutrements necessary for a comfortable stay. Picnic table for crab feasts, patio set with fire pit, charcoal grill, amazing views and sunrises and moonrises. 5-6 person hot tub. Water access with sandy bottom swimming area.. Boat ramp next to house, ideal for kayaks, and small craft at high tide, mooring available. Please contact us if you need a mooring. $60.00 Pet Fee up to two dogs Located a few miles from the historic Wellwood Restaurant in Charlestown, MD and The River Shack for all you can eat crabs. There are quaint shops and great restaurants a short drive into the town of North East. Elk Neck State park offers hiking and mountain biking trails, lighthouse, and amazing cliffside water views. Historic Havre de Grace is just across the bay and can be easily accessed by boat or a 10 minute drive with lots of restaurants, lighthouse, walking tours, museums and shopping. Only 35 minutes from University of Delaware. This million dollar view is conveniently located less than an hour from Philadelphia and Baltimore. Washington, DC is also easily accessible, only 2 hours South of us. NYC is about 2 hours North of us. Easy access from I95, zero beach traffic and an amazing water view make Sailor’s River Cottage the best kept secret on the Upper Chesapeake Bay.

We came to visit our son in Aberdeen for a long weekend. This was the perfect home base for our family. It is a cute and cozy cottage right on the water!! There are two queen beds and a full bed. Five of us stayed. One of the teens opted for the couch so they didn’t have to share a bed. The sleeping porch is the cutest! My adult daughter claimed that bed and the sunrise view is indescribable! The sleeping porch has its own AC unit and is super cool during this heat wave. We played games and cards every night around the big table on the sleeping porch. Lots of memories made! We drove to D.C. and it took about an hour and a half. Not bad. Drove to Wilmington and Newark, Delaware as well. Havre d’ grace is super close with lots of cute shops and restaurants like The Tidewater to eat on the water. The host had a box fan available which was nice for nighttime. (If you have to sleep with a fan, you know!)Other things: the water pressure in the shower is amazing! They left us plenty of toilet paper and paper towels, which is nice. They even provided beach towels in addition to bath towels. We used the washer/dryer- if you’ve not used a combo system like that before, just be prepared that it takes longer than a usual separate washer and dryer. Still, what a convenience! Short story: We loved it!

Landscaping was a little lacking. We're older so the low furnishings were a little challenging, but overall; very relaxing and pretty much what we expected.

This cottage was very cute inside, but could use some curb appeal. When we pulled up, we were worried what the inside looked like. The front bedroom is literally in front of the door, so no one wanted to sleep in that room. The back bedroom in the sunroom, got very cold. The front door would not properly lock, and we realized that you could punch in any number to unlock it. The inside was very cute and updated, but there needs to be some repairs to justify the price. Bedroom doors did not shut well, the fridge door did not shut well, and the dryer gave us issues to the point, we had to leave the towels we brought inside of it. Communication was delayed but overall, it was a good experience for what we needed, but I would not choose this spot again. For comparable prices, there were much nicer options that we wish we would have taken.

Perfect place to get away and relax by the bay. Awesome waterfront access made paddle boarding a breeze! Everything was beautiful and the outside amenities made enjoying the view even better.

Don’t judge a “book” by the cover. The curb appeal of the home needs a little sprucing but once inside we were beyond please with the cleanliness, use of space and amazing waterfront location offered through the beautiful views from the back of the property. We stayed as a family of 5 while traveling for a lacrosse tournament. We had plenty of space. The “porch bedroom” was a favorite! The house had all we needed and an easy drive to the fields. The use of kayaks was a great perk to fill our time while not at the lacrosse fields! We would highly recommend for anyone looking for time on the water, can’t get any closer!

Super clean and cute cottage on the water! LOVED the sun porch set up; flowy curtains with black out curtain option, table with bench seat, the queen daybed was a favorite during our stay, super comfy and unique. Great soft side hot tub in backyard was clean and relaxing. Also made great use of the outdoor furniture around the fire pit with new cushions for comfort. Neighborhood was quiet and green. Jessica was timely and responsive. Lovely all the way around! Would definitely stay again if in the area.

House was very clean and in an excellent location. However the grounds were in need of weeding to the point that the advertised upper bay view was blocked or partially blocked from many areas. Host was prompt in responding when I reached out.

Charming place with several private sleeping areas. My favorite was the screened in porch. Pet friendly and literally right on the water. Close to the small town of Charlestown. Play equipment for children. I didn't use the hot tub but it was conveniently already heated.

This cozy cottage packs a lot of comfort and convenience into a small space, with gorgeous views out over the river. The kitchen was efficient and well-equipped, the seating throughout was spacious and comfortable, and the whole place is charmingly decorated. There were several thoughtful amenities, including an outdoor fire pit, hot tub, playground equipment, and two kayaks. The whole place was sparkling clean, and the owner quickly responded to all questions.

Sunrise shines through at your feet, when you wake in the morning. Nice fire pit. Jacuzzi was lovely. The host was fabulous. A wonderful property to just step away from life for a minute, to soak up the peace . Would definitely recommend.

My friends and I had the best weekend here. It was the perfect spot by the river (mornings and sunsets were especially dreamy). The house included kayaks, a smart tv for the occasional rainy day, ample outdoor seating, a great hot tub, fire pit, and everything you need for an amazing summer weekend. The neighborhood was super cute and the host, Jess, was extremely responsive and helpful. We didn’t want to leave!! Will definitely be back.

My wife and I and our dog like to go away at Xmas and just relax. Although record cold temps made it freezing outside this was a cozy place to stay. They supplied plenty of heat for our stay and the communication was great. Unfortunately was only thawing out when we left so couldn't do as much outside as we wanted, you can tell it is a beautiful view over the water. Birds were coming around the last day we were there when the ice on the water started to break up.

The house is really decorated nicely. An enormous couch fit all 5 adults comfortably, the property was easy for my father (uses a walker) to move on his own with no assistance, which was SO important in my search for a weekend getaway. He could access the bathroom and bedroom on his own and the shower/tub combo was perfect. The hot tub was luxurious, fantastic for a morning soak to watch the sunrise. Outside a red maple tree provided some adorable photos and the water could be accessed by a gate. The neighborhood was quiet and well-decorated for the holiday so we were able to walk after settling and admire the neighborhood lights. The location is easy to get to and only 15 minutes from Havre de Grace. We ate our meals in town and walked around after; we’d never been before and it’s a cute town. Overall the most important things I was looking for was pet friendly, accessible so dad can get around without asking for help, near enough to town but not so close there is late-night traffic, and a view. This place exceeded each expectation tenfold!

Adorable little property right on the water. The house has essentials needed for day to day tasks. We stayed for a weekend in October. The house, hot tub and fire pit kept us warm! 15 min to towns for shopping and dining. It was a wonderful, relaxing weekend. I hope to return with my husband in the spring!
