Vegan friendly place, amazing view and kind staff
We had an amazing stay. The staff is kind and will do everything to ensure you have a pleasant stay. We asked for a vegan breakfast, and the staff, since they weren't sure what we would eat, asked what we loved and ensured we got it. If you're vegan- just let them know in advance what you prefer (the supermarkets nearby have a lot of vegan products). The view was breathtaking, and the entire place was unique and felt like home. The room we had was super comfortable and although the place has great pictures, in real, the room looked even better than the pictures. So overall - the high rank is definitely justified! We had an amazing time and hope to come back again in the future!

Breakfast was the best I had in Portugal, even compared to the ones I had to pay for. The balcony in the superior room was awesome. Totally worth the extra charge. Pictures don’t do justice

A family owned facility. The host was very kind and accommodating in every way. Interesting old fashioned decor that was very roomy and comfortable. Liked the touch of having a living room and wine and port to make us feel very welcome. Also, breakfast was delicious.

We really enjoyed our stay as the Casa de São Domingos is a lovely property. The room and attached bath was very nice and the patio had a view of the Duro River. The breakfast was well done and the staff excellent.

If you're looking for a base for exploring the Douro Valley, you can't do much better than this. Lovely breakfast every morning; a number of good restaurants just down the hill (or take an Uber if the steep climb is not to your taste). The staff had prepared a number of suggestions for both Douro wineries and lookout spots that were definitely worth the short drive. Loads of great spots nearby to explore.

The property is luxury filled with beautiful items, furniture and art. The host is magnificent and extremely knowledge and helpful in making plans. Great location to some of the best wineries. Breakfast was a 6 star every morning. Will recommend to all friends.

We loved our stay in the Douro Valley! The breakfast and staff were top notch. Highly recommend if you are in Porto to spend two nights as it was our favorite part of Portugal.

The perfect bed and breakfast in Regua. Great view. Large rooms. Comfortable bed. Beautiful swimming pool. Very relaxing. 1 km away from restaurants along the river. Plenty of parking at this bed and breakfast. Secure and gated. Delicious breakfast. The two young ladies that serve breakfast are super attentive. The host Manuel was very accommodating. 20 minute drive from Pinhão (wineries). Régua has a train stop if you are going to porto. (2.5 hours).

Great place with weirdo manager
The place is a gem of a place. Staff is great and so is the breakfast . Everything went excellent till the check out point . The manager blamed us for breaking the bathroom window in which we did not stay and kept insisting that he we break it . Very unprofessional and rude and should not be in this business . Would never ever stay here or recommend anyone .

Expectations surpassed.
The young lady who greeted us was extremely empathetic and allowed us to check in at 1:00 pm because we were drenched from the rain. The bathroom was spotless and the towels made us feel like we were living the “Rich and Famous” life. Kudos to “Casa de São Domingos”. The whole area is well worth visiting!

Très beau guest house, chambre très bien et confortable, large balcon donnant sur le Douro, grand living ou l’on peut profiter pour relaxer , boire un porto et échanger avec les autres occupants, tout a été parfait lors de notre séjour. Peut aller manger à pied si l’on le désire .

This hotel is dreamy. After leaving the hectic cities of Lisbon and Porto, we were enchanted with the beauty and service here. The outside has the intoxicating aroma of beautiful flowers , fruit trees and there’s a nice pool and jacuzzi. The free breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We were able to use the living room for playing games in the evening.

A wonderful casa offering B&B amenities in a family home. The property is lovely, with orange and lemon trees, olive trees and beautiful gardens. Our room was gorgeous and the breakfast was outstanding, offering something for everyone taste. We totally enjoyed our stay. We have no hesitation in highly recommending Casa de sao Domingos.

Excelente opção para a Região do Douro
Fomos recebidos tarde da noite com muita educação e cordialidade. A pousada é linda, muito bem decorada , limpa e com otimo café da manhã. Trata-se de uma antiga casa de família que tornou-se uma pousada de muito bom gosto. Recomendo e voltaria a me hospedar.

This boutique hotel is an absolute delight! The grounds are beautiful and the staff extremely accommodating. We were only here for one night, but would have absolutely enjoyed the pool if we had more time.

Beautiful family home with rustic charm. Appreciated the thoughtful touched and amenities - We enjoyed the breakfast, port wine in the living room, and pool very much. The bathroom tiling was gorgeous. Living quarters and amenities were clean. The owner and lady working there during our stay were both wonderful, polite, and kind. Great service. Cute cat on the property too! Our one suggestion - please consider adding dedicated shampoo and conditioner to bathroom. There was a shower gel kindly available but it was not as effective for hair. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!
