113 'van prachtige, beboste woning aan het meer op het grootste deel van het Waalse meer, gelegen naast Mackinaw State Forest. Geniet van een spectaculair uitzicht op het Waalse Meer vanaf het uitgestrekte dek dat zich rond twee kanten van het huis bevindt, dat is ingebouwd in de heuvel met uitzicht op het meer. Een geweldige locatie voor skiërs (15 minuten naar Boyne Mountain en 30 minuten naar Boyne Highlands en Nubs Nob) en sneeuwscooters (bevroren Walloon Lake biedt ride-out / ride-in toegang tot Charlevoix, Emmet, Cheboygan en Otsego County paden).

Het huis is volledig ingericht met voorzieningen voor een zeer ontspannend verblijf, waaronder een gastronomische keuken met drankkoelkast, 60-inch HDTV op lager niveau, Bose-audiosysteem op hoofdniveau, propaanrooster met hoge capaciteit, complete dekinrichting en dock met grote boot goed en zonnedek. Slechts 10 minuten naar zowel Boyne City en Walloon Village, en 20 minuten naar zowel Petoskey als Charlevoix. Keuken / eetkamer / woonkamers zijn open concept met een prachtig uitzicht op het meer via twee 9 'schuifdeuren. Geweldig uitzicht op het meer en een zeer ruimtelijk gevoel via een kathedraalplafond met twee verdiepingen richting water. Walk-out lager niveau biedt ook een geweldig uitzicht op het meer vanuit tv-ruimte en slaapkamer.

Dit goed aangelegde huis slaapt 12 in bedden (13 met futon): Slaapkamer een (eerste verdieping) heeft een queensize bed met master bad en schuifdeur muur naar dek; slaapkamer twee (tweede verdieping) heeft een set van twee eenpersoonsbedden en een stapelbed; slaapkamer drie (tweede verdieping) heeft een queensize bed; tweede verdieping slaapkamers delen een 'Jack-n-Jill' badkamer; slaapkamer vier (lager niveau) heeft een kingsize bed, 9 'breed raam met uitzicht op het meer, en directe toegang tot lager niveau complete badkamer. Tv-ruimte van lager niveau heeft ook een ligbed met onderschuifbed (slapen voor twee), een futon en een natte bar.

Eerste verdieping heeft ook een half bad.
Extra voorzieningen zijn full-size wasmachine en droger, vaatwasser, draadloos high speed internet en tankless boiler voor een ononderbroken toevoer van warm water.
Geniet van het drijvende zwemplatform en het bruiningsgebied op het dok. Geweldig zwemmen voor familieplezier met zeer geleidelijke drop-off.

Let op voor winterreserveringen: Sunterra Trail wordt particulier geploegd en geschuurd - omdat het heuvelachtig is met een paar scherpe bochten, worden All-Wheel Drive-voertuigen met goede banden ten zeerste aanbevolen om een gemakkelijke toegang van en naar het huis te garanderen.

Bedrooms upstairs a/c units need to be cleaned or replaced.Too hot. Needed to clean outside garbage up from outside trash bins,animals I would guess.However,it was stocked with everything,such as paper towels,toilet paper,garbage bags.That was nice.

Spectacular views!

We rented this home and the neighboring property for a golf centric trip. Both homes are fantastic. The amenities are wonderful and the lake views from each home are spectacular. For what it’s worth, there are multiple golf options. We would definitely rent these properties again.

We loved everything about our stay! David was very responsive and easy to work with. The house is great and worked very well for three generations of family staying together. This was our third year renting this property, and as always, it was a wonderful stay. The property is first class, beautifully maintained, and perfect for a family vacation. Highlights are the fantastic deck, the sandbar, and the beautiful view of Walloon. Will be back again next year!

One of the most beautiful spots I've stayed

The location/setting of this house is amazing, and the host is exceptionally cooperative, both of which led to a terrific vacation overall. First and foremost, without the cooperation of the host, this vacation wouldn't even have happened, so he's very good to work with. Walloon Lake is big, warm, and excellent for all kinds of water activities, even in June when many of the other lakes are too chilly. The paddle boards and kayaks included with the house were awesome. The view from the deck was beautiful, and the gas fire pit up there was great for s'mores! The house is perfect for extended family - three floors gave us all plenty of room to spread out and make ourselves at home. All that being said, and as other reviewers have noted, the house is a bit tired, and it has the same issues as many of the houses on lakes in Michigan do. There is a significant ant problem in the kitchen (host has bait out, but those little buggers were very persistent and we had to keep everything sealed tightly), and the basement is pretty dark and damp (not wet, just damp). Kitchen cabinets are peeling, bathrooms are functional but dated, and towels could use a good bleaching and or replacement. There was also very little water pressure in all of the sinks (though the showers were ok and the toilets worked fine). Anyway, overall I would still highly recommend this place because of the host, the location, and the overall functionality of the house. We had a lovely vacation.

What a wonderful week in a spectacular setting on Walloon Lake! The property photos were very accurate and we thoroughly enjoyed the boat dock, boat, paddle boards and fire pit areas. Beautiful week on the lake.

My family and I enjoyed a week on Walloon at this beautiful home on the lake. Great location with sandbar perfect for the kids and well protected from windy days. The house itself was perfect for extended family with a fantastic deck and lots of living space to spread out in. Having AC was nice as it was quite warm most of the week. Everything was well stocked and ready to use. We will be back next year!

Family vacation

Our three families stayed here and had a great vacation. The communication from the property owner, David, was exceptional from the beginning. The house was spacious and abundantly stocked with everything we needed. We also rented the owners pontoon boat for the week. The dock was perfect for sunbathing and watching sunsets. The deck was spacious and fire table was awesome. We spent most evenings on the deck and playing card games on large kitchen table. With being in the woods, you have to be careful with opening door at dark not to let tons of bugs into house. It was a great vacation and would recommend this house and property owners, David and Laurie, to others!!

Beautiful secluded location yet close to town

We are annual summer renters in northern Michigan and this home was perfect for the different ages groups we had. If you like trail running, mountain biking or strolling through the trees this is the perfect location. The dock worked wonderfully for our boat and the shallow water made a great spot for throwing toys off the end of the dock for the dogs and swimming for the kids. The host was welcoming and the house had everything we needed and more!!

A Great Week in Walloon

The house was absolutely great and had a bunch of extras that made it very enjoyable. Including the pontoon boat, paddle boards, kayaks, fire pits, etc there was barely a reason to leave. The sandbar off the dock was great for the kids to swim in. The house was stocked with everything we needed and is only 15 minutes from Boyne. Overall we had a wonderful and memorable week.

Secluded getaway on Walloon Lake

This was a fantastic property with everything you need to relax or entertain. Surrounded by beautiful forests on a clean lake with a large, shallow, sandy bottom. Huge deck with comfortable furniture. Plenty of room in the house for belongings, many extras to make your stay comfortable. Super large TVs on two floors. Host was very helpful and easy to reach.
