I have stayed here on a number of occasions and love the peaceful atmosphere of this lovely villa. It offers great value for money with its clean, comfortable and charming rooms, welcoming terraces, courtyard garden and friendly and helpful staff. A great place to relax in Phnom Penh.

C'est la deuxième fois que nous séjournons à Alibi Guesthouse et nous nous sommes réjouis de retrouver cet oasis de tranquillité au coeur de Phnom Penh, à quelques pas du palais Royal. Cette guesthouse nous plaît car elle a beaucoup de charme, c'est vraiment un bel endroit et la situation est idéale ! Je tiens tout de même à signaler que l'accueil qui nous a été réservé a été très froid. Nous ne comprenons pas les éloges concernant le patron qui est aimable comme une porte de prison et la réceptionniste est de même. Impossible de leur décrocher un sourire, à peine un bonjour. Ils s'en tiennent au strict minimum. Il est peut-être lunatique ou adapte son humeur en fonction du type de clientèle. Que dire à part que nous nous sommes sentis mal à l'aise, pas du tout les bienvenus. Pour cela je ne recommanderai plus cette adresse.

Great stay.

We stayed there two nights. It is one of the best places I have grates in SE Asia. The rooms are of good size and have everything that you need. There is a beautiful garden in front where you get breakfast. Very nice staff as well. It is located down a small street so is very quiet. I will stay there any time in return u To Phnom Penh.

Very nice guesthouse

This is a fabulous little guesthouse in a great location a couple of blocks from the Royal Palace. The room was clean and comfortable, with AC and a hot shower. The courtyard is beautiful and inviting for enjoying a coffee or drink. The staff were nice and accommodating, letting me check in super early and check out very late for just a modest surcharge. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again.

Nice, small hotel with excellent situation

My 3rd stay in this nice, small hotel in past 6 months. Everything was like before - very nice and helpful staff- but surprisingly the hotel decided to end the breakfast service. It was nothing special but a small and good start for the day, especially excellent coffee. What a pity! I enclose a picture of the breakfast of my last stay in this hotel in March 2018.

Sehr angenehmes Hotel, eine Oase

Nach anfänglichen Schwierigkeiten wegen einer Doppelbuchung, war das Haus sehr bemüht, uns einen angenehmen Aufenthalt zu ermöglichen. Das ist ihnen gelungen, wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Haus ist in einer Seitenstichstrasse, mit einem schönen Innenhof. Unser Zimmer war sehr schön und sauber. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort übernachten.

Welcoming, clean and perfect location!

A big thank you to the Alibi, a first time single traveller my first stop was Phnom Penh. On arrival previous guests wished to stay another night I was asked if I minded starting in one room and moving the next day as my room would be in use very apologetic, I happily agreed - turns out this was a bonus as I was put in a family room with small living space and balcony. I moved on the second night to a top floor double as I had booked that initially. A very welcoming start irrelevant of room change. Both rooms where clean and cleaned every day if desired, fan and air con in both rooms and mini fridge. Only thing I would suggest would be long mirrors maybe or larger available but this is the only issue! I felt very secure as lone single traveller and the location was perfect right next to the royal palace and only ever a couple dollar ride away from everything. Breakfast was great included in room price fresh fruits pineapple/banana and various options for cooked or cold brekky. Secure enclosed hotel with gate locked at 2200- there is a bell which you realise after a split second of panic you are locked out lol Locker with padlock - I prefer these to the digital lockers. I used it daily for my valuables as you hear of pickpocketing and mugging I Phnom Penh none of which I heard witnessed or experienced! Oh and not forgetting the courtyard garden with plants and tropical green aplenty. All in all I would highly recommend this guesthouse!

Excelente atención de todo el personal, habitación amplia, cama comoda, limpieza diaria, buen lugar para la familia. Los servicios son muy buenos. La ubicación del mismo es muy buena, se ingresa por una angosta calle que da cierta incertidumbre pero cuando uno accede al predio del hotel (aprox. 40 metros de transitarla) es una isla que transmite mucho bienestar.

Beautiful, quiet hotel in central location

I really enjoyed my 3 night stay at this hotel. Breakfast came not just with baguette and tea but also fresh juice, fruit, and marmalade, with a really nice presentation. Enjoyed eating on the tree covered patio. The bedroom was spacious for a solo traveler. Typical Cambodian bed (quite firm). Bathroom was pretty clean but well used. The hotel is a beautiful old building with spacious hallways and large balconies off each floor where guests could lounge. Good central location but difficult for even the tuk tuk drivers to locate. I recommend you bring a map or look up nearby in case you need to point them in the right direction. Highly recommend and would not hesitate to stay there again.

Hotel in the alley

The Hotel is an Oasis in the middle of the poverty , dirty, and poor street people of Phnon Pen . This is not a problem just the schocking reality of a country with huge social disparities where you will see at the hotel front door. The street people and poor people arenice but live in the dirty of their misery .

Alibi a worthy location for your time in PP

Alibi was one of the few establishments to live up to its reviews and expectations (not that we expect too much at this price point) on our recent trip to Cambodia. Fantastic French architecture houses a warm and welcoming team of staff who seem to go the extra mile to ensure your stay is a pleasant one. The garden grounds were a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of Phnom Penh literally seconds from the garden gates. Contrary to many reports, we found Phnom Penh to be a city worthy of a few days of your time and staying here would be far from a bad choice to do so.

Great Value! Excellent staff.

Excellent value at this hotel. The service was very good by all staff, especially front desk lady. It was quiet, nicely decorated, breakfast was the best we've had in a long time - so good, and there were nice common areas to sit and relax. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Tip: negotiate Tuk Tuk rates ahead of time very thoroughly... especially if getting dropped off at the airport. We agreed to $20 for 6 hours, and at the last minute our driver was asking for $35... which he didn't get.
