I checked into the hotel Sunday, placed my belongings in the room, and went to Walmart for food. When I returned, I was very disappointed to find ants on the floor coming from a large hole in the wall behind the trash can, along with more ants in the kitchen area. I contacted the front desk and requested a new room. After checking it for ants, we moved to Room 118.
Monday morning, I saw ants crawling across the bed. I contacted the front desk again. Since I had no other place to stay with my family, I asked that the bedding be changed and the room treated while we stepped out.
While we were gone, maintenance was supposed to spray the room. My Apple Watch was left on the charger, but when I returned, it was missing, which is extremely concerning.
Additionally, the breakfast was not good at all—the only decent option was cold cereal. The pool was nice, but there was no attendant. Children were unsupervised, diving in the lazy river, and a man who did not appear to be staff was recording people, mostly children, which made me feel unsafe.
Overall, this experience was unacceptable. I am requesting appropriate compensation for the inconvenience, safety concerns, and missing item, and I would appreciate a prompt resolution.
