Friendly staff. Had to wait for Expedia to forward booking to hotel before we could check in. Went and ate first. About an hour later Expedia finally updated the hotel.
Lobby very welcoming. We were told there had been a lot of problems with locals hanging out or abusing the system, so you have to use key card to access elevator as well as your room.
Room definitely worn - we stayed in 205. Chips on furniture, carpet faded, bed okay, looked slept in, nice pillows. Shower water pressure medium but was nice and hot. No shampoo in auto pump. Shower had dirty grout. Bathroom floor sticky.
Breakfast selection good - eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, yogurt, muffins, cereal, toast, juice selection, coffee, NO DECAFFEINATED, tea.
Lady running breakfast area was very friendly and helpful, same for the reception staff.
2 cats obviously live outside the premises and are being fed by staff. One cat is very friendly but will bite so be careful. The other cat is more timid and seems to have eyesight problems. Not sure who they belong to but might be a problem for some guests.
